Billie Trimble ([info]obtineo) wrote in [info]valesco,
“Damn right you are.”

Billie added her little bit of commentary as she watched him pace back and forth, sitting curled up on one side of the couch with Echo laying with his head in her lap. The dog seemed to have gotten just as dizzy watching her teammate move from one side of the room to the other as she had, though the poor animal didn’t have any clue as to why he was so worked up. Billie wasn’t even completely sure about what was going on, but that was because she hadn’t taken too much time to truly get to know any of her teammates since she had been drafted to the Magpies. She was a bit of a recluse for the most part, though every now and again she got sick of being alone.

The retriever in her lap stirred when Thomas sat down on the couch, and lifted his head to turn and look over at the overwhelmed man before letting out a grunt of his own, shifting on the couch before jumping down, trotting off to the kitchen. Billie tracked the animal before turning back to Thomas when he began speaking again. Her own lips pressed together, but it was more because she felt sympathetic towards him, even without knowing the whole story. She let out a sigh through her nose, and moved on the couch so she was facing him.

“Sounds like the bitch needs a good kick in the teeth...”

She reached out and grabbed the bottle from Thomas, kissing the lip before tilting it back, taking a swig of the rum that warmed her insides. Lowering the bottle, she lifted her other hand to wipe her mouth with the back of her hand, offering it back to him.

“You speak to her since-…well, whatever it is that happened?”
