Adrian was surprisingly calm, taking into consideration his plans for the rest of their night. Everything had been going so well so far; dinner had been normal, no one had bothered them, and Maggie continued to be in a distracted state. He was sure that this was where his boost of confidence was coming from, but he didn't want to focus on it. All that matter was that Maggie had no idea that tonight was not going to be like every other date night, but special.

He hadn't even checked his pocket once so far to ensure that the ring was still there, sitting snugly in its box. Adrian knew it was, especially now that he felt it press up against his leg as he stood, speaking with the manager of the restaurant.

Yes, he was going to propose. Tonight! Within the hour. Everything had all been planned out, and that's where they were going to go now, but she didn't know that, and he couldn't wait to see her face. Something of a nervous jolt went through him at the thought of her reaction, but he didn't want it to show, so Adrian quickly thought about something else.

He knew she was ready to leave, but they weren't just yet. Adrian stopped them just short of the doors, reaching into his other pocket as he spoke. "I have a surprise for you," he said plainly, turning toward Maggie slightly with a light smile on his face. Adrian pulled out a blindfold, holding it high for her to see. Odette had given it to him to borrow--- actually he'd stole it. It had been too tempting at the time; it was the first time she had actually let him into her house, and she had mentioned using something like it would be a good idea... it had been sitting right there on this side table.. what man owned scarves! Either way, hopefully Maggie wouldn't notice the connection, or want to keep it after tonight.

"It's a good one," he spoke in a promising tone, his smile turning into a grin.
