STURGIS!
Glenda had been watching Tristan play in the living room from the kitchen when she heard a knock come from the front door. The sound had caught her so off guard that she nearly slid off the tabletop and dropped to the floor in shock. No one came to the house, with Tristan still being too young to have friends and her increasingly anti-social ways, so it took a few moments for her to recollect herself.

Who could it possibly be? Tristan had given no notice to the knock, continuing to play with his new dinosaur and Quidditch sets on the floor. Thinking it would be best to not involve him, Glenda quickly walked toward the front door without saying anything. As she walked, she thought about what it could be. She supposed it was getting close to her son's birthday (three in two weeks!), so it was very possible there was an early gift in the post. That thought calmed her for a moment... until she remembered that wizards didn't use post-officers. She stopped in her tracks, now feeling unsteady about who could be behind the door.

No. The war was over. This was not England. She did not need to be overly paranoid anymore. She looked back at her son briefly, who had still given no heed to anything outside of his own interests. There was nothing wrong. It was normal to have people visit other people's houses. She continued to sooth herself with positive thoughts until she finally made it to the door.

Just for food measure, Glenda quietly pressed her face up against the door, peaking through the hole. "Sturgis?" she whispered, genuinely surprised to see a familiar face so far away from where it should be. Well this was--- unexpected. A slight frown formed on her face, unsure of what to think of this. Was it wrong that her mind automatically went to whether this would be good or bad? Taking a deep breath, she clung to the handle and threw the door open.

"Sturgis!" Glenda repeated, feigning a surprised tone easily. She produced a well-trained smile for him.

Italy was slightly out of the way for Sturgis. He actually had never been to the country, so apparating had been out of the question. He'd arrived through a combination of portkeys that bounced him across the countryside since he couldn't afford something more direct. Then he'd walked a great while until arriving at the address, which had only been given to a select number of people. Glenda Prewettt was, after all, quite the sensation back in Wizarding England.

As Sturgis had traveled, his appearance garnered a share of second of glances. After all, he was wearing a puce coat over a wrinkled shirt, an equally puce belt, and a pair of trousers stuffed into heavy black boots. It wasn't exactly the outfit one would expect to see in Muggle Italy, let alone in July. His hair was a woeful mess, but he chalked that up to the multiple portkeys and his father's equally ridiculous mane. Sturgis did pat it down before knocking on Gleny's door, though. He didn't want it to frighten her or make her think he was any less serious than he was. This was, after all, a very important matter.

When the door opened, Sturgis couldn't help the weak smile that twitched on his lips. It had been quite the number of months since he'd last seen Gleny and she was truly sight, even now when he considered no more than a friend.

"I hope I haven't startled you," he said as his smile strengthened. "Though, clearly I have," he continued as he struggled to keep the deep concern he held for her from creeping into his voice.

"No, I just---" she gave another quick glance back into the house, spotting the top of Tristan's blonde hair over the couch. Gleny shook her head, closed her eyes then produced a truer smile. She was happy to see her friend (one of her closest!), no matter how impromptu and slightly unnerving it was. Where were her manners? Sturgis had travelled a long way, and here she was nervously fiddling around him as he continued to stand on her doorstep.

"You surprised me, that's all," Gleny smoothed over, shaking her head as she unclenched her hand from the door handle. She hesitated, just for a second, before moving close for a tight hug. His familiar sent and feel engulfed her, and Gleny would be lying if she didn't admit that it almost instantly calmed her. Sturgis had always been a very loyal friend, someone she had always trusted and felt dearly for; those feelings of trust would never die away. She was being silly for getting anxious.

"Come in," she said, her grasp lessening to all allow him to follow her inside. Gleny continued to calm herself as she led Sturgis inside, deciding it would be for the best to not think about why he was here. No need to get herself overly ridiculous when he could just be... in the neighborhood.
