danielle r. rookwood ([info]curador) wrote in [info]valesco,
"As if I would let you," she purred, quite happy that she'd had some of the sun-balm that the healers often used in the area. The first time Danielle had gone out on a medical visit, she'd come back as red as a tomato. Apparently it was a bit of an initiation process to get burnt , and the paler you are, the more eager the older residents are to get you crispy.

Danielle settled onto Donovan's lap, wondering why he thought he'd even have a chance to read on this trip. Of course, sunbathing on the beach was different, because even then if they weren't reading, Danielle would want to show him some parts of the beach she'd explored before, and it was always the perfect time to go into the water or---she just couldn't sit still. She'd never felt like this before, and it was definitely the fault of the man she was currently straddling. Donovan being here with her excited Danielle from the tips of her fingers (that danced along his shoulders) and all throughout her body and soul.

Oh, she wanted to stay here forever. They didn't have to be in Colombia (though the weather here was much more pleasing than the snow storms of England); Danielle wanted to stay here, with Donovan, forever. It used to be scary to think that way, but after everything they'd been through and surviving a war on top of it all, it really didn't seem like that daunting anymore.

"It looks good on you," her fingers traced up his jawline, running smoothly over Donovan's cheeks. "The tan. I like it."
