Donovan Rookwood ([info]impulse) wrote in [info]valesco,
Donovan couldn’t deny that it was a little bit weird, finally being in Colombia with Danielle after all these years. There was definitely more than just a little bit of apprehension felt at the idea of traveling to a country that, for the longest time, had shared part of the blame when it came to why she had left in the first place. It was what had initially torn them apart, back when they were in Hogwarts, and he had absolutely no desire to go to that damn country, up until she asked him about it a few weeks ago, and even then, the only reason he had agreed was because the thought of spending time alone with her was something that sounded most appealing.

It wasn’t that he had gotten over the fact that she had just up and left him once before, but knowing that he was going with her, that she was actually talking to him about her desires to travel played a big part in why he was there right now, having been trying to read when he felt the book in his hands get plucked from his fingers as she simultaneously climbed on top of him and then tossed the paperback over the back of the furniture. He lifted a brow at her, amusement sketched along his features as he tried to shimmy down a bit more, his hands at her waist, helping her keep her balance as she climbed on him like an attention seeking feline.

“Well, aren’t you observant?” He said with a smirk, his nose scrunching as he was partially whipped with saturated stalks of wheat and gold. Lifting his hands, he pushed her hair away from her face, a duel tactic to get it from hitting him in the face and allowing him to get a better view of her delicate features. “I’m surprised I didn’t burn. I don’t remember the last time I’ve been outside without there being fog, or clouds blocking that big, bright thing in the sky we call ‘the sun’.”
