It was a good thing Miranda was much tinier than Ralph was, or else he was sure she would have knocked him over with the amount of force she threw herself at him. Taking in a deep breath of air, Ralph's feet slipped back slightly as he wrapped his arms around her. But that didn't stop him from laughing loudly. Laughing! In the middle of the night! Because it didn't matter! They were free-- he was free! The simple thought of no longer having to hide his identity anymore was so liberating! And Miranda---
Ralph pushed his face into her hair, taking a in a deep breath of her scent. Everything from before, everything they had gone through... it seemed so much longer ago than it actually had been. Like a distant memory compared to the fortune they were experiencing now. You-Know-Who was dead, the wizarding world was no longer a war zone! It was over.
"It's over!" Ralph repeated only what his mind had been repeating over and over again. It was just unbelievable, how all of this had happened with little to no head notice... but that wasn't what to focus on now. Now was for re-realizing the actual future he and Miranda could have together now. It wasn't just a far off dream, but something actually achievable... their children wouldn't be in danger because of him, they wouldn't be in danger because of him anymore. It just--- he hadn't felt this happy in a very, very, very long time.
"I have--- I have---" Ralph began to fumble, pulling away from Miranda only slightly to reach for his front coat pocket.
