Order of the Phoenix
It was best to take matters into his own hands. The Order of the Phoenix had been infiltrated, and to calm the nerves of its members, Albus was going to meet with each one to manage a questioning of sorts. Auror Longbottom had used the word 'interrogation' but until he could find answers, Albus was going to believe in the group he had put together. While he wasn't naive, he did know how easily people could be corrupted, he had faith in the members of the Order, knowing that they had all always shown great strength when it came to making choices between right and wrong.

He sent out a patronus to one member at a time, not wanting to create a crowd in the house for that would only cause to build more tension. Dumbledore knew that the war did not seem to be turning in their favor, but while he was a man who loved to find answers, he always had a faith that would allow him to do so. He sat in the kitchen area, going over some final reports that his professors had finished while he waited for the next Order member to arrive.

The tentative footsteps approached the table and Dumbledore kept his head bowed for a moment before lifting his gaze up to meet the next Order member.

"Have a seat. Would you like a lemon drop?" He pushed the candy dish across the table.

OOC: OKAY! If you guys don't know, some of the Order's secrets have been leaked. Liz had helped set up a secret entrance into Diagon Alley behind the ice cream parlor, but during the attack Frank found that death eaters were waltzing through it.

This thread is meant to be a narrative of sorts for the individual Order members, and to move the traitor plots along. The post doesn't have to be epically long or anything of course! If your character has no idea what's going on, just have them say that---its meant for the Order to voice their frustrations with how the war is going and how they feel about being in the Order.

We really want everyone to try and get something said here, because this is a big turning point in the game! The Order is now legit scared about being betrayed. If you want some ideas about what Dumbledore might ask your character(s), don't be afraid to ask me! But really--he's just trying to slyly get information, and if he has his doubts (he IS concerned about Remus, so if your character has any relationship with him, you could use that) about anything you should bring that up. And, it's easy enough to make it seem like your character IS the traitor too, by leaving information out or however else you deem fit. He'll be trying to egg people on too, to get them to say that maybe yeah, they have mentioned things in the past etc. etc.

WHATEVER you guys are smart, have fun with this! Except not because this is sad D;

Alice unfurled the roll of parchment in her hands and flattened it on the table in front of her. She didn't want to look Dumbledore in the eyes because she felt ashamed, but in her shame she knew that she was doing the right thing. She was an auror through and through, first before any other title in her life, and her friendships with the other Order members was no exception.

She folded her hands on top of the table and kept her head duck as Dumbledore pulled the parchment toward him, picking it up to read the list of names she had pulled and taken notes on. Alice twisted her tongue in her mouth, wondering if any of this meeting was going to be shared with the other members, but she had a strong feeling that Dumbledore would keep whatever went on a cleanly sealed secret.

"Are these in any particular order?" he asked, putting the parchment back down onto the table. Alice nodded, looking toward the sink. "Most likely to least?"

She nodded again and pulled her gaze back to him. Alice really wished that she hadn't been asked to do this, or to get involved. She always tried to keep her personal life out of her work life, even when it came to Frank. They both had refused to go on missions with each other in case emotions got in the way, and it had worked out well for them. Now Alic was forced to look at some of her best friends as traitors and betrayers, wondering if they were susceptible to Voldemort's ways.

"Sirius Black is your number one suspect?"

Alice bit her tongue, but nodded. She hated how that sounded, and it wasn't as if she truly believed that Sirius would ever betray his friends, it was just that. Alice sat up straighter, "Not a suspect, Professor, I just believe that since he was the last of us that had a direct, long-term encounter with death eaters that there's a greater chance that he could still be under some sort of control. I know it was two years ago, but no one else has come close to that sort of time."

"Yes, you have a valid argument, Alice," Professor Dumbledore said, his eyes scanning the list once again. "You also have Peter Pettigrew rather high, over my brother."

"He's weak," Alice stated flatly, forcing herself not to feel guilty, "He'd be the easiest to turn." Not that she believed the death eaters would have any interest in Peter, or that he would manage to withhold such a secret, but when she had profiled each of the Order members, that was what she came up with.

"And what of Remus Lupin? He's lower than both Sirius and Peter, even below my brother, which I do, at times, agree with your findings." Dumbledore blinked at her, and Alice shrugged.

"I watched Remus ignore and allow James and Sirius get away with--nearly murder, really, at Hogwarts." Alice pushed her hair back, "Peter did nothing but follow those two around, but Remus...he protected them. He doesn't fit the profile, to me at least."

Alice managed to keep eye contact with Dumbledore, and felt a swell of pride when he nodded slightly. She could be wrong, she could be entirely, and deadly wrong, but she had come into this meeting to shed some light on the situation that Dumbledore could not completely control. He didn't see the other Order members nearly every day, or have spent seven years with them at Hogwarts, in the confines of the common room. Alice hoped that she helped somewhat, and let out a breath as she started to explain the rest of her list.
