Thomas smiled for the camera the Scottish fan was holding in front of them at arm's length, bending a bit to make sure he was in the frame. The flash nearly blinded him and the girl's shriek deafened him. He earned another hug and she bounced away, allowing him to finally make his way out of the stadium. Scotland had performed well, but had fallen short. He was glad to have nearly a week to recuperate, thinking that the New Year's Eve party had been a bad idea in more than one way. Thomas let out a cloud of cold air, trudging through the light snow that had fallen earlier in the day.
The whirlwind of the past few days had not allowed his mind to settle and he was looking forward to the walk back to the hotel to at least begin something of a cleanse. The party, the confrontation with Regina, the random girl he'd seemingly taken his frustrations out on, it was all one big mess that Thomas was not looking forward to cleaning up. Or dealing with.
A voice called out his name from behind and Thomas turned, thinking the fan was back. His eyes widened as he realized who it was and he jammed his hands further into his pockets. "Samantha? What are you doing here?"
