Jonas! duh
She'd been back in her flat a good five hours, four and a half of them had been spent sleeping on her bed (oh, her bed! How Kobe had missed it!), and the other half hour racing around trying to make the place and herself look presentable for when Jonas arrived.

Jonas! Oh, Kobe was eighty percent sure all their talking through the journals had been a potions-induced dream, but then! Then, he actually showed up at the hospital! Looking worried as all hell, of course, but they'd had a nice chat and Kobe was left once again dazzled by the mere presence of him. She had never been a fangirl like this, to anyone, and she had been around plenty of famous musicians! Kobe had always found something wrong with them to make the rock star more...more human, she supposed, but Jonas was just proving to be this all-around sweet, kind, caring guy who wrote her a bloody song! Wasn't that the most romantic gesture ever?

Not that---she was expecting to get romantic with him, but like...nothing could top getting a song written about you.

Maybe a song that didn't have to do with watching her almost die, but it was still beautiful.

Kobe fired off some cleaning spells to her own piano (Kirby had done such a wonderful thing in letting her into his bank vault!), and slid to a halt on her wooden floors as someone knocked on the door. Kobe let out a choking, flustered sort of sound as she patted down her hair, hoping that she looked decent enough for someone who'd been stuck in the hospital for more than a week.

"Hi," she breathed when she opened the door, and Kobe's hands went behind her back to keep herself from lunging at Jonas. Okay, okay, she wouldn't have lunged, but a very enthusiastic hug was ready to burst from her at any second.

Jonathan!
Megan had made the decision last week, that Jonathan's birthday this year was going to have to be the best birthday of his life. Why was this year so special? Well, she'll tell you. This year was different, because not only had they all been witness to horrific tragedies, their family had been struck not once, but twice with these terrors of the war. First Jonathan's parents, and now Berkeley! Oh, Megan had liked him so much, and it pained her to leave Amelia alone at any time since the tragedy, but she couldn't leave her baby alone, and----and then Jonathan had to go and be in the middle of a death eater duel and---she could barely think about it!

There was no cake, because there wasn't going to be a party. Susan was spending the evening with her Carmichael grandparents, and the house was completely theirs. Even Roger had been put outside so he couldn't interrupt them like he so enjoyed doing lately.

Sigh. Megan pressed her back into the counter of the sink as she watched the clock wind down. She hadn't really meant that their evening would be ended if Jonathan was late, but her husband knew how much she liked her schedules, so she was expecting him to take the threat very, very seriously.
