npc log - regulus and kreacher
Regulus paced back and forth in front of the cupboard, reaching into his pocket with a shaky hand. He pulled out a tarnished locket and sighed. This was for the best, it really was even though he felt as if he were standing on the edge of an abyss, ready to take a plunge.

Everything was ready – hopefully the two people Dumbledore had picked to go find Sirius weren't idiots and could follow simple instructions to get into the house. With Bella, Rabastan, Rodolphus and the Dark Lord distracted by their attack on Godric's Hollow, the 'rescue' should go easily. If it had been possible, Regulus would have found a way for Sirius to leave himself, but the Lestranges had gone and done a good one on him just before leaving.

Regulus shook his head and crouched down before the cupboard and opened it. He cleared his throat and tried to get his mask under control.

"M-M-Master Regulus…" Kreacher crawled out a little, bowing slightly.

"Kreacher, I need you to take me to where you went with the Dark Lord. I forbid you to tell any of my family what happens," Regulus commanded and stood. He stuck his hand out for the house-elf to take.

WHO Remus Lupin and Sirius Black
WHAT Sirius is saaaaaaaaaafe.
WHERE Order house, after he's rescued! but during the GH fight, so James hasn't been there yet.
WHY 'Cause duh.
RATING TBD.

Despite his aching muscles, Sirius shot straight up into a sitting position, gasping for air and looking around the room and blinking wildly. This was much to bright of a room, too cheerful to be... Sirius didn't actually know where he was supposed to be or where he was he looked down at his chest to see it wrapped tight with a bandage and groaned. He poked the red spot and cursed at the pain that shot through his entire side. Ow, okay not doing that again. He swallowed and looked around the room again, trying for sure to determine where he was. This... it wasn't home, that was for sure. He would know if it was home. It didn't smell bad, but his tongue felt numb and who knew if that affected it or not.

Groaning some more, Sirius pushed the blanket aside with his bandaged hands, it seemed like whoever had put them on didn't really heal them, probably just dabbed them in potions, and Sirius swung his feet over the side of the bed and reached for his wand that he always kept on the bed stand, only it wasn't there. Where was his wand? This definitely wasn't home. Sirius stood up, hunched and with one hand wrapped lightly around his middle. He was only wearing boxer shorts so he shivered a little and was trying to figure out how he was going to escape this place without a wand, clothes and a left leg that didn't seem to want to bend because of the cast. The door creaked open and Sirius froze as if he moved his position would be given away. He squinted slightly to make out the profile of the person carrying a tray of...was that soup? Sirius's stomach gave an involuntary growl at the thought of soup and he bit his lip to keep himself from yelling at it when he recognized the soup-carrier.

"Remus?" he rasped out, wondering what Remus was doing, being his captor.

She pulled the invisibility cloak tighter over herself, taking in deep, steady breaths. The streets of Godric's Hollow were calm, still, not a person in sight as it was rather late; in the houses of the muggles in the area, you could see the telly flickering through the windows. Alice couldn't see the Order members hidden about the town, but she had a rough idea of where they were all located. It was strange to have the upper hand for once, but she knew it wouldn't last for long, no matter how pessimistic a thought. The tip to Dumbledore had arrived with a good amount of time before nightfall and had given the Order a lot of time to prepare for whatever was going to strike the small village.

James had been adamant about being one of those to go and find Sirius, but it was obvious that with his past relations with the death eaters that they couldn't risk it. Alice knew that Frank was eager to help as well, but it was finally decided on who was to stay and who was to go, and things would just have to deal.

Alice slowly made her way through a garden of one of the small cottages. She couldn't help but peer through the kitchen window, eyes softening at the sight of a daughter helping her mother was the dishes. These people were completely innocent; why had Voldemort decided to attack this village? Surely it couldn't be because wizards and muggles were living together, Hogsmeade was the only all-wizarding village and he'd already attacked there twice.

Quickly, she put up a ward on the houses' windows, feeling a guilt rise up in her at not being able to warn the family about what was to happen. She saw the flare of a spell before she heard it erupt, and Alice gripped her wand tighter, sending one last look toward the window before heading out into the starts of the fray.
