Oh, she was just ... so adorable. She wasn't as terribly business-like as some of the women he'd gone through before settling on her as his regular, and she was certainly gorgeous. What could a man find to complain about, really?
He opened the door wide for her and gave her a once-over before he answered her question, putting a thoughtful finger to his lips. "You know, I think that it will do just fine. And my thanks for the timely delivery," he teased as he ushered her inside. No need for her to catch a chill on the step, after all. Desmond smiled broadly.
He'd made up some pasta and chicken for dinner - nothing too fancy, but there was a good salad to start as well and it wasn't like she expected too much out of him, he hoped. The pasta was good, he thought - an excellent sauce that he'd had in the freezer from a week or two ago when he'd made a larger batch. Working with the Minister made it impossible for him to predict when he would and wouldn't be home, so frozen portions of things made it easier to eat at any possible time.
