WHAT: BABIES ARE MISSING

STATUS: Finishing in comments!
Tiberius had no idea what to do. Literally no idea. Not only were his children taken but his brother's son too. And the guilt that came with that was almost worse than the one that came with just having his own children taken. Finn trusted him. Tibs sat on the couch his head in his hands. Elena had locked herself in the kid's room and he could hear her from where he sat. All the kids from the ministry were taken, not just his, this wasn't his fault.
Or at least that's what he tried to tell himself. But of course all he could think was that it was, he set those new laws in motion and he was expecting some sort of backlash but not this. He was sure that Finn had been informed by now. The authorities offered him the opportunity to tell him himself but he took the cowards way out. Said he had to get to his wife, which he did.
This was the worst day ever.
Early on in his career, Finn was used to having the media buzzing outside the locker room exit's. They'd ask about his exploits with random women, why he was seen out in London at four in the morning the night before, and what the hell was he thinking during that last match? He used to revel in it, but as his life settled down, Finn had become adept at avoiding the paparazzi and all of their buzz. Hell, he was boring now, being married with a kid and one on the way. Of course, inside of their home, the McLaggens were anything but boring, but the news and media didn't care about Cormac getting lost between the sofa cushions for two hours like Finn and Joy did.
When he left the locker room and started out of the stadium, he didn't give the crowd of photographers a second thought. They'd been trying to catch a picture of Flint's new kid, or at least get Caden to comment on something, but of course his stoic friend hadn't budged. Finn gave a slight raise of his eyebrows as all the focus turned to him, and his name began to be shouted.
"FINN, FINN--HOW DO YOU FEEL?"
"HOW'S JOY DOING? IS SHE OKAY?"
"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN YOU HEARD ABOUT THE KIDNAPPING?"
The onslaught of questions didn't stop, but Finn's heart did. Kidnapping? What, who--he blinked furiously as he tried to put together their words. They'd been stuck in practice all day and Finn knew he had strict rules about who interrupted, but surely--Finn frantically turned back to his teammates, but they seemed to have no idea what was going on either. Seeing as everyone seemed to be in the dark except for the paparazzi, Finn strode forward and grabbed the first photographer he could find by the front of his shirt, shaking him hard, "What the fuck are you talking about!"
The photographer looked like he was going to wet himself, "M-ministry kidnappings! They're---they're saying it was death eaters against your--brother! Cormac's missing!"
There was no sound outside of his heart pounding in his ears. Kidnappings in the ministry. Tibs had picked up Cormac early, so that they could go straight to Lisbon for the air show after work. He and Joy were supposed to go out to dinner, the first time in months that they'd be able to have a night to themselves. This---was not supposed to be happening. Finn felt a hand on his shoulder and he was turned around by not a teammate, but a burly auror. Was this real? Was this actually--
"Finn McLaggen? We need to speak to---"
"I need--"
He knew he should have gone with the auror, but Finn couldn't focus on anything but---Tiberius. He disapparated with a crack and landed roughly on his brother's doorstep. "TIBS!" he shouted, banging furiously on the front door. "TIBERIUS!"
Tibs knew that it was only a matter of time before Finn showed up on his doorstep. He pulled himself up off the couch to go answer the door. Tibs expected Finn to be angry, he had every right to be angry. But Tibs was caught completely off guard by just how angry Finn looked. He stepped aside to let his brother into the house because apparently the media had already caught on to what was happening and was popping up outside his gate, and this moment between them was definitely something that didn't need to broadcasted to everyone else.
"Finn..." What could he say. Sorry? What was that going to do? Nothing. The Aurors probably already told him all the details and said most of what need to be said. What else could they do?
Finn didn't waste a second before pushing into the house. He frantically searched around, hoping that this was just some media stunt to get pictures of him going beserk. This could not be true, not a damn thing, it could---not be---happening!
"Where is he!" Finn shouted, spinning around to face his brother. He heard a door opening down the hall and hurried toward it, but stopped himself at the sight of his sister-in-law, face streaked with tears and an expression that mirrored exactly how Finn was feeling. "Are you---you're fucking kidding, you're----WHERE IS CORMAC?"
The tears in his eyes were from rage, he could not understand, he could not understand how this could have fucking happened, he could NOT UNDERSTAND----"WHERE IS MY SON, TIBERIUS, WHERE---"
He couldn't breathe. He couldn't think, or breathe. "I CAN'T---HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!" Finn slammed a hand against the wall, somehow managing not to clench his fists and make a hole in the wall. "HOW! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?"
