[Patrick!]
Lyssandra was in a bit of a tizzy. Was it really HER fault that both her female best friend (Adelaide) and her male best friend (well, ONE of them) were STILL IN THE HOSPITAL while she had escaped relatively unscathed? It wasn't as if she was in the mood to just sit in the Observatory Gift shop twiddling her thumbs and waiting for them to wake up -- so she was doing what she thought was best and bringing her little girl to visit Pri and Adelaide.

That was where she was on her way to now with Emily. Thankfully, the girl was asleep soundly in her snuggly and didn't look to be ready to wake up anytime soon - perhaps her mere presence would coax Pri out of his slumber.

Barring that, she'd just have to start lecturing him about how he had a wife and two lovely girls of his own to take care of. She supposed that she should also check up on Santiago and Richie while she was here. She furrowed her brows, stepping out into yet another hall.

"This place is so bloody confusing," she muttered to herself, barely looking where she was going (having a child had apparently not gotten rid of her stubborn refusal to observe proper directional etiquette).

When he'd received the owl that they'd found Edward, Patrick had attempted to make his way to St. Mungo's as quickly as possible. Quickest possible way? Apparation, of course! That was a wizard's chosen method of transportation, usually, so who was he to think that it would cause him severe, aching pain the moment he landed? Patrick felt like the bloody coat rack was back in his chest, the way his lungs were heaving for air. Ho-ly shit.

He knew that it was his own fault, really. The healers had told him that he shouldn't try to apparate across long distances too soon, he was supposed to be keeping his physical recreations to a minimum (that was the biggest sour note), and rest, plenty of rest. But how was he supposed to rest? The publishers had been basically demolished, they had all of these owls from international business with no where to go and no one to talk to, and he just couldn't take a break.

Not to mention that if he actually went on sick-leave, or whatever it was, his sissys would hound him like a infant. No, Patrick didn't need to let Ally or Giada know that he wasn't as fit as he claimed to be.

But he really needed to find a healer that could help him out right now, or just a good place to sit. Nearly wheezing, Patrick pushed by a few people in the corridor to hurry toward an open seat, his hand pressed to his chest to try and alleviate some of the pain.

She'd been about to grab a nearby chair when someone had pushed her out of the way. Well, how bloody rude was it to push a woman with a baby!?

Looking irritated, she stomped over to the man in the chair and was about to lay into him about the possibility that he could have concussed her child when she noticed that he was ... oh, not at all breathing normally. She'd spent enough time with asthmatic Priyaranjan and the rest of the healers to know when someone wasn't breathing well. Oh, bloody hells.

She huffed out and set Emily carefully down against her chest before she leaned in and rested her hand on Patrick's shoulder, trying to look concerned.

"You're not looking so hot, buddy." Well, he was looking pretty hot, but that -- that was SO not the point here.

Patrick's eyes glared up at the woman and her sarcastic tone, but didn't push her away as paying attention to something was supposed to be helpful in cases like this. He probably should have paid more attention to the healer's instructions, but when you had a busy schedule with people to meet and woman to greet, you didn't want to be stuck in a room with a 150 year old healer wanting to give you a physical.

So he kept his eyes and her, and was immediately pleased to see that he'd slammed into an attractive woman---with a baby. Babies were fine, but that meant he shouldn't stare so hard because her husband was most likely near by. Well, that ruined his fun. Patrick took in a deep breath, and finally it felt like he could breathe without getting stabbed in the chest.

"Good observation," he let out, slumping back into the chair. Patrick blinked, thinking for a second that he should probably let her take the seat because of the kid. Maybe when he was sure he could stand on his own.

"Don't be a twat," she half-snapped, bringing her hand up to his forehead out of habit. Maybe he had some sort of hypercontagious jungle disease and - "If you get my kid sick I might have to hurt you."

Not that it was likely, but she was still a little paranoid of having Emily get sick. She sighed when the girl stirred against her chest and shifted her slightly. She was surprised he hadn't made some sort of comment about her being the bint from the rags, but she guessed she was probably old news by now. Waldo wasn't a big deal anymore.

She made a slight attempt at being polite, though, and offered after a moment, "Did...you want me to get someone?"

"I don't have anything she can catch," Patrick said with a quick roll of his eyes. He watched her attempt to take his temperature and figured that swatting her away would simply add onto the list of rude behavior he'd sent her way in the past two minutes.

He may have recognized her from Hogwarts, her face was highly distinct, but Patrick had spent so little time at home since he'd taken his father's old position in Calliope that everyone he met had to be reintroduced, save for the few he'd forced himself to keep in contact with. Patrick didn't mind this, he had many friends all over the world, but he supposed it would make his visits back home easier.

"No, I'm all right, thanks," he said, pushing himself up a bit gingerly to give her the seat. Patrick could hear his mother shrieking at being so rude to a lady, "Here, you can have the chair."

Thankfully, Lyssandra was just as awful with remembering faces as Patrick was -- so neither of them had to go through the awkwardness of remembering the other from school at a later time and being embarrassed for not remembering earlier.

She was more than a little surprised to have him offer her his seat - probably because the last man who had spoken to her aside from her best friends (and Noah) was anything but polite to women. Knocking someone up and then leaving them high and dry wasn't something she considered chivalrous.

"...wait, you were having breathing problems. Are you sure you're not better suited to the chair? Emily will stay asleep...probably."

"I'm not supposed to apparate over long distances, yet," or ever, he mentally added, ignoring the voice of his healer. It wasn't something they had been sure of, but it was highly likely that he wouldn't be able to travel as often as he used to. Patrick was also choosing to ignore that fact, and was quite happy with living in his ignorant little world for the moment. "But I did, so my chest hurt for a bit, and well, you can see--"

He patted his chest roughly a few times with his flat hand, showing the woman that he was perfectly fine (after, once again, ignoring the slight stinging). Patrick peered down at Emily for a moment and smiled, thinking of Roger and Ally's future set of twins. He really did love children, especially when he could hand them back to their parents.

"She's a good one, staying asleep in this bustle. You're lucky."

"So what you're saying is that you went against the advice of your healer because you wanted to get here quickly," she stated with a slight quirk of her brow. Even though she was friends with many healers, she had to admit that sometimes she went against their advice when it came to her health, so she probably didn't have any room to lecture Patrick.

Besides, lecturing had never really been her strong point. Lyssandra smirked faintly, bringing a hand down to the top of Emily's head.

"Oh, sure. She'll sleep straight through the entire day and then keep me up at night, the sweet little bugger." Her voice didn't hold any animosity, though, despite the fact that Emily did keep her up at night. She was still house-sitting for that old man (she was beginning to think he wasn't coming back, though) and had simply put Emily's crib next to her bed ... on the side that wasn't next to the python.

Patrick couldn't help but laugh at that. Giada always got so offended when he cursed in front of Roger, or muttered some choice words when the boy wouldn't let go of his ears. She was the perfect auntie, she said, and Patrick was the uncle they would one day point and stare at because he was the stereotypical grumpy old man in the corner.

Whatever.

He scratched the back of his head, unsure why he felt the need to give her an explanation. Maybe the guilt of nearly shoving a woman with a baby in her arms down to the ground was coming back to him. "My friend was lost in the earthquake wreckage, and I just got an owl that he's been found."

Merlin, he didn't know what condition Edward was in, and he didn't particularly want the details, but if his friend and coworker had ended up in any sort of situation similar to his, then---shit.

"I hope you're here for a better reason than I am."

Lyssandra was pretty sure that Emily would grow up to be a swearing little monster anyway since she was the product of herself and Waldo Quirke, so there wasn't much of a point to trying to limit her colourful vocabulary in front of the girl. Well, wasn't he being sweet trying to cover his own arse after he nearly struck her down?

"Not at all a better reason," She admitted with a shake of her head, "A friend of mine from school has been in a coma for some time now and I'm here to try to wake his sorry arse up -- and another was seriously injured. They're both healers here, actually." Which would explain why they were so badly hurt - they'd said something about Pri falling down the stairs, and who knew what had happened to Adelaide.

Emily fussed in her arms, feeling Lyssandra getting worked up, and she took a deep breath. No need to upset her little girl.

"Maybe we can go find all three of them, then." Because she didn't feel at all adverse to wandering around the hospital with this handsome man.

"...I'm Lyssandra, by the way."
