Seth, Drystan! Joey?
Oh my god this was so much fun! Forced bonding was the best ever!

Except not.

At all.

Unconsciousness seemed incredibly pleasing right about now.

Odette had thought about 'mistakingly' hitting herself in the head earlier (an idea she completely blamed on Drystan, since he had thought of it), because it would be so much less painful than the self-served hell she was enduring now, but. They would no doubt revive her within seconds, not only leaving the empty feeling of failure but handing out a free pass of verbal abuse for the rest of the week.

So, unfortunately, Odette was forced to stay awake the entire time, participating in every activity there was to participate in. Name games, ball of string sharing, trust falls--- honestly. Honestly. The day she trusted Seth Wadcock to catch her without groping would be the day that Poseidon sprouted wings, flew into the sky and became a constellation.

At least the day was finally over, and they were allowed to recluse back into their cliques that made the Montrose Magpies what they were. Pulling apart a piece of bread slowly, Odette sporadically threw the pieces into the campfire (of course there was a campfire) while she watched it burn. "I can't believe it's only the first day," she whined, pulling her knees closer to her chin as she looked to Drystan sitting next to her. "I cannot suffer through a whole week of this."

Drystan found the whole thing completely asinine.

Though there were few people he legitimately got along with (few mostly meaning one, mostly meaning Odette), Drystan thought himself affable enough amongst his fellow teammates--or could not bring himself to care deeply what they thought of him or how they acted towards him. He was a fair player on the field, and nothing too-stand-offish off of it. There might have been one or two incidences where a teammate had tried giving Drystan a hard time due to the silly infatuation the fellow's paramour had fallen under, but that was irrelevant.

The part he was finding it hardest reconcile with, however, was the fact that this time of team building also came with a diet. Which, if Drystan remembered clearly, was "to cleanse the body and mind" which would naturally need to team-building.

Why did everything trace back to that at this wretched place?

"You'll survive," he told her dryly, with a raised eyebrow, swigging the last of his water. "Think of what your fiancé and hippocampus would do if something were to happen to you."

"I don't want to go sit by the fucking fire." Seth said angrily at the counselor who was 'escorting' him back to the rest of the team. He may or may not have been caught raiding the kitchen. What they were fed was completely awful. He couldn't believe they called it food.

"Don't think I don't remember you from the United camp a few years back, Mr. Wadcock. You know how this works. And you're captain now. You should be setting a good example." the man said as he made sure Seth was going to take a set around the fire.

"If you remember me, then you should remember that I thought and still do think that this is a load of shit." Seth said back to the man. "AND I'm pretty sure the rest of the team feels the same way. How's that for team unity. We all think that you're program is a complete crock."

"Well it certainly too bad you are all stuck here for the week anyways. Hopefully you'll get something out of it this time around. And stay out of the kitchen."

Seth just huffed as he sat down. "What." he snapped as the rest of the team just stared at him. Great. He was just called out in front of the whole team. How was that suppose to improve unity.

"Poseidon would go into deep mourning, I'm sure of it," Odette nodded knowingly, a crack of a smile appearing on her face. "Noah doesn't give him enough attention," she joked, shaking her head in a mock sadness. What a complete lie-- she barely stepped into that planetarium unless she absolutely had to. In fact, going to steal one of the new stuffed animals had been the first time she'd been there in weeks. Though it was completely worth it, the mini hippocampus was beyond adorable, and it was blue.

"You know, for your birthday---" Odette began, but quickly cut herself off as the sound of their angry leader could be heard behind them. Unable to help herself, and hungry for some drama, she turned to watch the scene. Odette pulled her lips back, poorly hiding the the smirk forming on her mouth as Seth was escorted back to his seat. At least his childish attempts at freedom were entertaining, she would definitely give him that. She glanced over her shoulder at Drystan while she buried the bottom of her face into her shoulder.

"Bravo, Wadcock. I see your raid went well." She couldn't help but comment, it really was a problem. Odette turned her head so that one whole side of her face was resting on her knees to briefly look at him before turning back to the fire. Her hand went to pick apart another piece of bread, and throw it.

Maybe it would magically turn into floo powder mid throw.

It was too much. Drystan could no longer bear it.

Quickly, his wrist snaked out and grabbed the piece of bread before it landed in the flaming depths of the fire, popping it into his mouth, looking just as nonchalant as he had a few moments before.

"Small wizards in poor third-world countries eat less than that in a day," Drystan admonished her severely, regarding Seth dubiously from the corner of his eye. It didn't matter to him what their captain did, though many of his antics were not what Drystan would call captainly conduct. The only thing he was concerned about at the moment, however, was whether or not Odette was going to bounce from her seat and throttle him, given the unfortunate remarks of Seth Wadcock on the subject of her engagement with Noah Boot. Not that he wouldn't deserve it if she did, in Drystan's opinion, but it probably wouldn't be good for team unity.

Who were they joking with that rubbish, in any case?

"You tell them, Captain," he said sagely, expression very angelic. "No one can make you do anything you don't want."

Seth buried his face in his hands and huffed. "Oh come on. Its not like you don't agree with me. We all know this is ridiculous the only difference is that I've been through this before. And you think the food is bad now."

Seth wasn't stupid. He knew that he was horrible at setting a 'good' example. And he certainly wasn't the poster boy for 'team unity'. But just because he didn't get along with everyone off the pitch didn't mean that when they were on the pitch that he didn't know what he was doing. Directing practice, making sure his team was at the top of their game was his top priority. That didn't mean he had to get along with them when they weren't playing.

"Just you wait. They'll be asking us to hug out our problems and share our deep dark secrets next." Oh Seth wished he was joking. "And its not like it works. If anything, it causes more animosity between players." he picked up a stick and started poking at the fire. This wasn't a week to build team unity. It was a week of torture. "I had to bunk with Boot last go around and no one should have to go through that kind of torture."

"Asking is another option," she muttered to Drystan, lazily handing over what remained in her hand. Not much, but if he had demoralized down to grabbing food out of midair (and honestly, if she didn't know Drystan better, she would've called him a show off), then Odette supposed he wouldn't mind what little she could give him. She had no idea that he was legitimately that hungry, because she--- well. She wasn't? It wasn't like she ate a lot anyway, it was apart of her job to stay light, but even then. She definitely ate a whole lot less on her best days than the full-grown, giant men she called teammates.

"I haven't the slightest of what you are referring to, this place is obviously---" Odette let out a loud snort like snicker, unable to finish her sentence seriously and finding the imagine of Martin Boot and Seth Wadcock doing extra 'hug it outs' during the middle of the night beyond hilarious.

Ohh, she would have to thank Martin profusely for that.

"Martin Boot would have been the best bunkmate ever, I have no idea what you're talking about," Odette feigned seriousness, nodding her head slightly as it picked up. Seth was lucky he was only getting this kind of response from her (she had chosen to completely block out the little--- whatever it was that showed he still wanted to shag her in Noah's journal; it ruined her good mood too much to think about). "He always has the best responses to everything."

"Pish posh," he replied, taking the rest without batting an eyelash, "learn to share." Oh, carbohydrates. Being the size of a small house had never lent itself well to such idiotic things as diets, Drystan thought as agreeably polished off the remnants of Odette's thoughtful handout. Or it simply could have been the fact that the moment someone told him he couldn't eat something, he had never felt a more pressing urge to ingest it in his life.

Whichever.

"Martin Boot strikes me as very agreeable," Drystan told Seth in loud agreement. "If you didn't get along with him then, that had to be your own doing."

He gave Odette a look and smirked just slightly as he looked back up at Seth, "Much like, dare I say, that very becoming outburst of team unity that had that fine counselor escorting you back towards the Campfire of Friendship."

Honestly, Drystan had nothing against these New-Agers, but why was he forced to interact with them on a now-daily basis? They had a most infuriating way of treating everyone as though they were the age of six. Which included the confiscating of wands.

Seriously. Seth just stared at Odette and Drystan. Were they seriously going to gang up on him over this? He didn't even know why he tried. He'd like to see either of them spend a week with Martin Boot and antics of trying to be the best Camp Unity camper ever. And now it looked like Seth was going to be stuck in another week of hell, except this time he was going to have to deal with the two of them.

And really, Drystan shouldn't even try to act like it he didn't expect it. "Fuck the Campfire of Friendship. Let's all hold hands and sing fucking Kumba-fucking-ya. And then by the end of the week, I'll suddenly be Mr. Congeniality and everything will be filled with rainbows and sunshine." Seth ignored the look that the counselor gave him. Oh yeah, swear words were not approved of here. It put off a bad vibe.

"Like that's going to happen." he scoffed throwing the stick he was holding into the Campfire of Complete Bullshit. "None of this helps us as a team. We don't play at all this entire week."

"That would be great," Odette pipped automatically, her eyes daring to jump behind Seth to a--- sure, she would use the politically correct word here--- counselor, which earned her an encouraging smile. Hoollyyy shit, did she just possibly earn herself a cookie for later? That would be fantastic, Drystan would rip it right out of her hands, but still. It was the thought that counted. Despite her inner pain, a real smile began to tug on her face.

"I like sun," she continued, nodding slightly as she lolled her head back to look at Drystan. For a brief second, Odette thought to actually take Seth's angry rant seriously, and give him a real answer.

Yeah, it sucked. Yes, they were basically be starved, dumped in the middle of nowhere, being forced to be nice and she would much rather be sleeping in a bed with Noah than in some insect infested cot, but, there wasn't much they could do about it. They had taken away their wands, and obviously the place was impossible to apparate out of so---- it quickly occurred to her that Odette was thinking this purely because Seth was complaining. If he wasn't so vocal... well, she would like to think that if she was Captain, she would at least pretend to go along with it in front of the people than ran the place, while secretly planning a revolt with the team behind their backs, but that was just her.

"I really want to leave," she stated randomly, her body perking up a bit as she said so. Like right now. Strangely, her voice actually sounded serious--- like actually serious.
