Grayson
Who: Grayson Wilkes and Amery Wilkes
What: Brother brawl
Where: Ministry
When: Monday eveningish.

"Yes, thank you, I will check up on that," Amery called over his shoulder, anxious to get away from his direct superior. The one thing he could not stand about fronting as a Ministry official was that he was actually expected to do his job. This was something of a problem, seeing as how Amery detested most work, and could not really even name what it was his department did. Which was why he hated meaning anybody he had to answer to.

Speaking of actual work, Amery needed to get to one of the conference rooms on his floor so he could make sure that his notes and materials were in order for his presentation conference tomorrow. Fishing the key out from his pocket, he smiled and waved benignly at some other official he was supposed to know and suck up to, and slipped inside the conference room.

That was funny. He had told his assistant to bring in the materials that morning... why were they not in there?

Amery would have thought on the abnormality of the situation-- a Ministry conference room, covered in blood, with two badly slashed, beaten up brothers lying in random spots-- it probably looked very suspicious, and Mackenzie being the one to show up with the intention of treating them added an entirely new level of bizarre.

But, he was slightly busy feeling very much like he was going to either spew the entire contents of his stomach, go to sleep and never wake up, or stand up and display a tremendous amount of adrenaline-charged energy, or some mixture of all three. Amery could feel Mackenzie by him, and the moving pressure of her hand and wands. It actually felt kind of nice.

Or it could have been the delirium talking.

Amery let a few words that sounded like mush come out before shutting up.

"Shush," Mackenzie snipped at Amery as he tried to talk. He didn't need to talk--- partly because it would make it easier on her, and partly because it would just be less awkward that way. She had no clue what they were doing in here, and frankly, she didn't even want to know. Well, she did, but not badly enough because this was just too weird for her liking.

After a few minutes, Amery was done. For the most part, at least; he was going to be fine. Mackenzie took a deep breath, and pushed her hair out of her face. She had a potion in her bag to complete the treatment, and she would feel much better if he actually went to Mungo's to rest but, somehow, she figured he wouldn't do that. Either way, he was just going to have to lay there and wait for a few moments. Perhaps think up of a polite way to say thank you to her.

Finally, Mackenzie shuffled over to Grayson. He wasn't much better than his brother, so why he said to treat Amery first was... questionable. She blinked, snapping herself out of her thoughts before quickly getting to work. Just don't think about it. Don't notice that this is Grayson, half alive on the floor. Really.

Unlike Amery, Grayson was going to be the last one to protest. That would require speaking to Mackenzie, and that was something he wasn't prepared to do at the moment. When he saw that she was moving away from his brother, Grayson made some attempt to ease himself into a more 'workable' position in his chair. That was the least (literally) that he could do to help out his regrettable cousin.

He made a mental note to make sure to request a different healer the next time (yes, he knew that there was going to be a next time) he had to do a house call. He resisted the urge to remind Mackenzie that she had a privacy clause to uphold at work and simply pursed his lips in a tight line, waiting for her to both move over to him and begin to work. At least Amery looked better than he had, all things considered.

He was feeling more nauseous by the second, so he opted not to think further on the subject of his complex relationship with the majority of his family and instead focus on not appearing as ill as he felt. Ha.

It took a few moments for Mackenzie's work to actually take effect, and another few for Amery to once again be party to the world of the conscious and living. Albeit, still groggily.

For a minute, Amery marveled in the sheer ridiculousness of what had just happened. And how odd of a family affair this was turning out to be.

And it was just funny.

Perhaps in a maniac, psychotic sort of way, but it was still funny. Hilarious, even. So funny, that he was willing to take the big physical risk of laughing, just to express his feelings on the situation.

"Mack--" he tried in vain to communicate. "Grays--"

Apparently, words were overrated. He just grinned crazily to himself.
