There were few things in the world that made Barty Crouch angry as anything having to do with school. Barty was regretting even coming back for his final year, while a numerous amount of people in his same situation had opted to leave school before 7th year. But being that he hadn't been Marked yet, and his parents fully expected him to stay in school, his options were rather limited.
Thus, he did only the bare minimum that he could bring himself to do (but old habits die hard, and his father had drilled in him six years worth of study habits, so those 13 OWLs didn't just disappear completely). Which was why it bothered him incredibly to go from being tutored (albeit unnecessarily by Dedalus Diggle) to tutoring Iris Conway.
And no matter how hard he had tried to get out of it, he had no choice but to appear in the library, Sunday evening, without fail, and tutor this girl in Transfiguration.
Walking in abominably late, he threw his textbooks on the table and greeted her with his usual glare.
"You look more sour-faced than usual, Conway."
