James felt like he was in a zoo on display, the feeling of a million pairs of eyes sitting upon him. Dumbledore had set up the Hog's Head as an 'informational meeting' of sorts, for people they had all suggested, thought of, and found to be highly trustworthy. These people were going to be offered to put their lives on the line for their dying secret society, and James was surprised as hell that so many had actually shown up.

They were all idiots, he believed.

But then again, they must all think that he and the rest of the original Order (he felt so old, saying that) were out of their minds. To them, the Order was just a bunch of kids who got caught up in a big, ugly mess and were now crying for help. Which it felt like, sometimes, but James wasn't ready to admit that out loud. He wasn't sure if he ever could, which was why he was staying uncharacteristically silent through the whole engagement. He was slumped in one of the booths of the tavern, eyes following the mingling and quite chatter that was going on.

Drinks will be served! Dumbledore had ended jovially, and James had sighed. Part of him felt like a wretched person for getting more and more people involved into the war, but the other, very tired part of him was ready to hand over the reigns and let Voldemort get some new toys to play with.

[OOC] The tags are for those characters invited to join the Order. They do not mean that your character HAS TO join the Order. They could come to this meeting and decide against it, or not show up at all. If you do not tag this thread with your character, we are going to assume in-game that they did not show up to the meeting.

Original Order Members! Please tag the thread to get conversations and such going? It'll help oodles ♥

That was rich--- a benefits package. Yes, they would be going over that after the drinks had been served and everyone had gone around introducing themselves within great detail. For many reasons (some much darker and perverse than others), Frank let out a low chuckle, his head shaking as he laughed at the thought. Maybe he should get her to bring that up with Abe: that conversation would be worthwhile to hear.

"What do you think?" Frank asked, clearly still amused as a smile lingered on his face. He liked Avis, why some people didn't was beyond him (well, he knew why, because they were idiots). Frank had gotten to know her fairly well over the last two years, especially with Alice working with her more recently. There was no stepping around the subject with Avis, if you wanted to know an answer, she would give it to you, and vise versa. She would be a very important asset to the Order.

Frank let out a slight sigh, shifting in his chair slightly. An asset to the Order-- he sounded like bloody Moody. How revolting was that? He technically shouldn't even want Avis to be here. She had a child, not to mention a Booth that would no doubt explode if he got wind of this, he should be putting her off to the idea. Make her turn around and not make her life expectancy drop even further than the low rate it was at to begin with.

But-- he--- couldn't. Frank was tired, he was selfish, and tired. It felt like half of the time--- why did he have to deal with everything? If it wasn't this thing, then it was the next. Last week had been his and Alice's first vacation in nearly... two years. Frank wanted nothing more than to just pass off the torch for a bit, maybe or--- pathetic, it really was pathetic.

"Moody's around here somewhere," Frank indicated, waving his hand slightly. "If you haven't seen him yet." Which he knew she had, but for some reason he felt like stating so.

The fact was that Avis had weighed the pros and cons of being in an Order like this the moment she'd gotten the invitation. Yes, Tomas would certainly blow as gasket or two if he caught wind of it, but she knew that -- well, although he might've been a better fighter...he was also better with their son.

And the coming children that there might be, considering that she'd given him some great deal of warning about it. Looking around here and seeing that half of the people who were fighting were just kids tore her up, even though people thought that she wasn't all that emotional.

She just didn't let it show most of the time. She knew what a blow to the community it would be if all these people ended up dying in struggles to save the rest of the Wizarding world while the 'middle-aged' generation looked on and did nothing.

The fact that Moody was here pleased her, even if they butted heads now and again over policy and ... well, her husband.

"I'm sure he'd just snidely ask me why I didn't bring Tomas. He can do that on my way out." Avis knew she'd be an asset to these people, and winning the war was important (whether it was strictly by protocol or not).
