Ralph had been very, very, very, very determined to come to this meeting since he had gotten Dumbledore's letter. It was the perfect answer to all the things that had been going through his mind recently, how he wanted to do something about everything that had happened to him, how he felt like he should be here anyway since he knew about the Order, had known for a while! Not to mention his best friend and Frank and Alice, who had all three of them basically saved his life so-- it only made sense that he at least try to help.
The Order. To protect people like him.
But--- now that he was here, all the fire and determination that had been in his stomach for days had sort of... disappeared. The crowd was extremely... intimidating, not to mention there was the possibility that someone would make a deal out of the fact that yes, he wasn't dead, and yes, his hair was black. It unsettled him. He recognized a few people, but even then, he had been so out of the loop that it was hard to remember names.
That was it. This was the first time in months that he had participated in anything magical related with... well, witches and wizards. Not to mention everyone who did know him thought he was dead. As much as a tiny voice in his head told him that this had been a very bad idea, Ralph knew it hadn't. He could still remember the emotion that had been coursing through him, and... that should be enough to get him through this.
