Avis had convinced herself to come to this ... meeting because she was scientifically curious. She'd told Tomas that she was going to a boring outing that he wouldn't want to come to, and she didn't think she was completely lying about that.
Besides, she had reasoned that the more Aurors they had involved in this little society the better off they'd be, if only because they had valuable formal training that could be taught to the other members if necessary. She pursed her lips and lingered on the edges of the crowd herself, observing the other people carefully.
This was ... interesting. And it held promise, even if she didn't exactly approve of the way they were going about things (which was to say, in a sort of underground-society sort of way). She did understand how it could be useful, however, considering the fact that she herself had gotten into several fights with Corner over the ineffectiveness of the system.
