Who: Tibs McLaggen, Joy Diserafino, and Finn McLaggen
What: LOL
Where: LMAO
When: TODAY
"Finnnnn! Where the hell are you?" Tibs called very aggrivated after he apperated to Finns house from the pub they were suppose to meet at a half hour ago. Finn had said he'd meet Tibs for drinks tonight so they could have 'brother bonding time' or whatever. Tibs just wanted to get out of the house a bit while he still could because he knew that once Finny came that he'd have very little time to himself. Not that he minded of course. He was super excited to be a dad.
"Fiiiinnnnn!" Tibs couldn't find Finn anywhere and the only place he didn't look was Finn's room and if that arse was sleeping he'd hit him. "Hey you prat you were suppose to meet -- Holy Shit" Tibs had shut the door he'd just opened as fast as he could.
The sound of the bedroom door slamming sent Joy jumping two feet into the air--or well, two feet had there not been someone directly above her. "Fuck!" she cursed loudly as she nursed what she was sure was going to be a nicely sized bump on her head, from knocking into Finn. Really, though, her horrible wound was the least of the things she needed to be worrying about, like say, the fact that she was pretty sure Tiberius had just walked in on them having---having---well, not doing good things, that was what!
Rolling out from underneath Finn, she grabbed frantically for her shirt (Tibs was lucky they hadn't gotten too far. Really, really lucky.), finding it on the floor next to the bed and pulling it on. It ended up inside out, but she really didn't care at the moment because oh my god that was---oh my god. Just. Not cool. This had to be the most embarrassing moment of her life, right here.
Unsure of what to do, Joy glanced between Finn and the door with a fretting look, eyes still wide in shock from the whole trauma that'd just occurred.
"Oh my fucking God," Finn had been muttering that into the pillow he'd covered his face with the moment he'd realized what had happened. Of course. Of course Tibs would walk in on them. Knowing their luck, his parents, Elena, fuck, the entirety of Puddlemere would be out in thee living room, just waiting to see what was going on in the bedroom. Finn let out a yell into the pillow before sitting up, watching Joy get dressed. Things had been going splendidly. Splendidly. They were shagging, no one was asking questions, everything was hunky dory and there was no drama or no---but of course---of course.
He threw his legs off the bed, contemplating disapparating and waiting for Tibs to just leave (because he could hear his brother stewing outside the door), but knew he'd be in so much more shit from so many different angles and---
"Oh fuck," Finn hissed, "I was supposed to meet him for---oh fuck, fuck, God damnit---" He struggled to pull his pants on, cursing up a storm the entire way, suddenly too embarrassed to even look at Joy as he swung the door open to go and find his brother. Jesus Christ, Tibs was never going to let him live this down---after all the 'just friends' talk and--fuck!
Tibs couldn't believe what he just walked in on. Tibs didn't want to believe what he walked in on because oh my god he did not want to see that at all. Now of course Tibs didn't see who the other person was he didn't stick around long enough. But there was only two options really. It was either Joy or some girl that was not Joy.
If it wasn't Joy then Tibs would yell at him because, well that was just messed up. And if was Joy, well Tibs would still yell at him because all this talck about being 'just friends' and not wanting to to mess anything up with her or whatever. Although the second would result in less yelling.
Ugh, well now that Finn had gone out to see Tibs, she was going to look like a right bitch if she didn't go be all self-sacrificing and face him too. As she made her way towards the door, Joy wondered if it would be practical to grab a pillow off the bed to hide her face in, but decided against it. One of them would probably just take it away from her anyway, and it was a stupid idea because---ugh. Because she had to be adult and face this. Joy decided that she didn't like being adult at all.
It was tentative and a little belated, but a few moments after Finn left the bedroom, Joy finally peeked her head out from around the door, looking for all the world like a child that had been caught doing something bad by their father. Which wasn't too far off, really, but.
"Uh... hey, Tibs?" she greeted timidly, forcing a nervous smile out onto her face. "How's... life?"
"What are you DOING barging into my bedroom---I mean---FUCK, TIBERIUS---!" Finn's hands were pulling at the hair he didn't have and pacing the length of the living room, where he'd found himself. "So bloody rude---and---if I did it to you---fucking hell, have you got---"
Finn stopped, lips tight and hands on his sides and staring at his brother--what was he supposed to say. What was he supposed to say? Not even the embarrassment of being caught by your brother doing---things---but the---he and Joy hadn't exactly---well. It wasn't supposed to mean anything, the random shagging, it was just to relief stress and all that...but of course Tibs was going to ask questions Finn didn't want to answer and he wanted to kill his brother. Kill.
"Come on. Go on. Start your lecture."
"Have you heard of LOCKS? And WARDS? Or maybe not having sex when your suppose to be meeting your brother? Jaysus christ Finn." Tibs ran his hand over his face then glanced over to Joy. How's Life? Haaa. He opened his mouth to start to lecture them both but then stopped. It just felt plain weird to yell at Joy because well, it was Joy. "Never mind. Forget it. I don't care. Do what you want." Really. Tibs just didn't care. Finn was an adult he could do what ever the hell he wanted.
Try as she might, Joy just couldn't quite manage to supress the surprise on her face. Tibs wasn't... yelling? Or... well, he wasn't doing much of anything, just saying that he didn't care and it seemed hard to believe that he didn't care because who wouldn't care about this? This was big, even if it wasn't to them, it was supposed to be to Tibs and! None of this made much sense in Joy's brain at all. Not that many things did, but this was really above and beyond perplexing.
"You're not mad?" she ventured to ask, stepping out into the living room, still looking wary. Like he was setting them a trap or something by acting calm. He hadn't been calm a second ago and now he was, this couldn't be right. "Or. You don't---are you sure?"
Come on, this didn't make sense. With the way he'd reacted before, they had to at least been in a little bit of trouble.
"Have you heard of---of not coming into someone's house when they don't answer the door!" Finn exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. He was more than thrown off that Tibs wasn't reacting the way he thought he was going to. There's no yelling. There wasn't any smacking or punching. Finn faltered and shot a look at Joy.
"I kind of wish you would yell, or something," he muttered, looking down at the ground before up at his brother. "You really don't have anything to say? Because it'd be a lot easier if you just go and shout about it now before it festers inside and you end up like---" oh Jesus, telling Mam, "---like blowing me up, or something."
Finn frowned, his anger, confusion, and embarrassment lessening greatly. Maybe it was because he was just wary now from Tibs' peculiar behavior.
"Nope. Not mad at all." He turned to Finn. Oh he wanted him to yell. "What would be the point? Huh Finn? It's not like you ever listen to me anyways? I'll tell you one thing and you'll insist that your way is best so what's the point of me even trying?" Tibs shook his head. "You're both adults. You can make you're own decisions. You don't need me lecturing you like a mother. Do what you want. Have Fun. I'm off to get a beer. Merlin knows I need it.
Joy stepped forward towards Tibs, but then stopped in her tracks, realizing that she wasn't sure what she was doing or what she had wanted to say. Of course she hated how agitated he was, and she didn't want him to just leave like that, but--what did she---what was she supposed to---
"Stop, we just--" She glanced back to Finn for a second, then back to his brother. "--I think we both just expected you to be mad. You... I think you have a right to be. I think we probably deserve to be lectured." It wasn't because she thought that what they were doing was wrong, per se, but she was at least aware that it wasn't exactly responsible. And after they'd sworn to Tibs that they were nothing more than friends, he had a right to be confused and annoyed. "Just--we didn't mean it to happen, and it's not like it really, well, it doesn't mean that it means anything, we just--I don't know. Just don't walk away."
Finn had dropped down to the couch, completely flabbergasted. Right. So he had no idea what to do now. Was Tibs that disappointed in them that he was going to just wash his hands of them? Just...not care anymore? Okay---right. If Finn didn't listen to his older brother, did he really think he'd be this worried about his reaction? Or that he'd even have made it this far with Joy? If it wasn't for Tibs, fuck, Joy would be off somewhere with Cormac and Finn visiting once a month. Why would---okay.
He bit his tongue and looked down again. Right. He'd finally pushed Tibs' last button, or whatever it was.
"Fine, all right." He looked up and clapped his hands, smirking at Tibs. "If you want to leave, go. We're willing to sit and talk and be adults even if we haven't exactly been acting like a pair of them. So, Tibs, do whatever you want," Finn sighed.
"Of course I have every right to be mad. Because ever since the beginning of all this I've been telling him that you guys should get married and Finn just kept telling me that you guys were better off as friends. And I respected that, and I stopped bothering him about that and help you out all I could. Just to find out you're shagging anyways. I certainly hope you guy are at least being responsible this time around." Tibs slouched down on the chair across from the couch and turned his attention to Finn. This whole situation was just so fustrating and Finn just had to go and put him in all these sticky situtuations and such.
"Go on Finn. Let's talk about this like adults. Convince me that I'm wrong."
As it seemed to be the trend (and she felt awkward not moving, fidgeting a little), Joy lowered herself down onto the loveseat. It didn't seem like anything Tibs was saying was directed at her, but then again, he could just be disgusted with her so much that he was ignoring her part in the situation. Or he just wasn't mad at her, but that was hard to believe. Either way, she felt more guilty than she figured she'd ever felt in her life, whether it was because Tibs was disappointed in her, or disappointed in Finn. If it was just the latter--well, fuck, that was her fault. She'd started all this by kissing him, giving him that coupon. Stupid coupon. Stupid coupon that brought about mindblowingly great sex, but stupid coupon still. Kind of. Not really. Stupid her.
Yeah, she'd go with that one. That was something she was used to, doing stupid crap.
Even though he had directed his words only at Finn, Joy felt the need to answer him anyway. "First of all, Tibs, we are being careful. And---and second, I" --well now, she wasn't sure if what she was about to say was going to make Tibs any happier or throw him into a rage, but she had to clear it up anyway-- "well... It's just sex, really. We're not--like, it's nothing else. No feelings or whatever, just." Oi, it sounded worse and worse by the minute. And it didn't help that she felt even more guilty saying that, not because of what Tibs would think, but because she felt wrong saying it was nothing, even though they had established that it was and. She had no idea what to think. Maybe shutting up would be good now. "So yeah." Awkwardly, she pushed a lock of hair behind her ear and avoided both men with her eyes.
Finn was trying very, very hard not to get mad. Because while he knew they weren't exactly doing the smartest of things, he didn't think that---it was confusing, all right? Just confusing and really none of Tibs' business since it wasn't exactly hurting him, but---
He looked over at Joy when she began to speak, but found he wasn't nodding along. It was just sex. It was. Maybe they were being assholes about it, but it wasn't as if they were going around shagging random people. This had to be some sort of upgrade. Finn let a breath out from his nose. If he wanted to get mad, he could start thinking about how Tibs was really upset about them not listening to him, and not telling him that he was right. Which he wasn't. He hadn't wanted to sleep with Joy until Christmas, he seriously hadn't. He'd gotten himself a girlfriend and anything. Things change. Finn knew that better than anyone.
"We didn't tell you because we didn't want you thinking it was anymore than it is. No one but us knows, it's not---we don't want---" Finn sighed, "Getting married's a whole lot more than shagging, Tibs, I'm not going to lie and say that you're right, that just because we're attracted this way means we should go and get hitched. So don't try and compare the two. Maybe we're being dumb with this, but---"
Finn shrugged again, rubbing the bridge of his nose, "Haven't felt this fucking good in a while, so unless Joy says so we're...not going to stop. Probably more information than you need, but."
Tibs looked between both Joy and Finn wondering if they had gone and lost their minds. He just couldn't understand the whole sex with no feelings attached business. He held his hand up in hopes to stop Finn from finishing his last sentence, because he really didn't want to know. He'd much rather he didn't even know in the first place. "Alright. Whatever keeps you all... happy."
Somehow, the whole 'are you fucking insane?' look that Tibs was giving them had been expected. Joy didn't expect him to understand the whole concept of friends with benefits--it was actually kind of hilarious to think of Tibs having a friend with benefits and--okay, yeah, if these two brothers could have been any more different..
But that was off the topic, because it looked like they'd reached a point of understanding with him, no matter how awkward. He didn't seem as mad anymore, which probably had to do with Finn's proclamation of feeling good with this. To be honest, this situation made her happy too, fuck, she hadn't felt better in--well, not in her life, she supposed, but it was right up there. He wasn't about to hear her 'say so', especially not when things were going so well. It was what she needed, it was what made her feel good, and she wasn't going to just give that up, irresponsible or not.
"It does. It keeps us happy," she confirmed quietly. Joy looked up and her lips quirked up into a small smile. "It's... I know it sounds crazy to you, but it's good. It's fantastic, even."
Finn couldn't stop the smirk at Joy's last comment, and nodded, clapping his hands together and standing up. All right, maybe this was a little funny, and he cracked another grin and let out a quick chuckle before Tibs could throw something at him. He did care about what his brother had to say, and he did care if Tibs was disappointed in him, but they weren't technically doing anything wrong. And hey, would Tibs rather him be shagging a bunch of other random birds? No, it was Joy, and even if Tibs had been pushing Joy on him for months in that way, Finn wasn't minding their situation at all. Because, fuck. It was fantastic, even if he'd never give her the satisfaction, he thought with a wicked smile.
"Right, well...I'm guessing you don't want to get a drink now, huh?" Finn asked, wincing as he was quite sure there was a spell being sent his way.
