Who: Molly and Arthur (and by virtue, their children. But since when have you not expected an appearance by at least one of them?!)
What: Fluffy goodness :]
Where: the hospital
When: Sunday afternoon

Arthur hadn't slept much that night. Between trying to make sure that Molly had everything she needed and taking care of the boys and making sure that they were keeping out of trouble (and then helping his parents floo them back to their house for the night so they could get some much needed rest) and then after all that was done, just standing outside of the nursery and watching Ronald. His youngest son. Arthur wasn't at all sure why he was nervous about him being born; Molly had handled things beautifully and they were just fine and now that all the stress was over, all he could think of was holding his son and being with Molly and letting the boys meet their baby brother.

When he finally did find a place to sleep, it was in a rather uncomfortable chair next to Molly's bed and when he awoke he had a terrible crick in his neck and he felt bloody horrible. But Molly was awake and seeing her made him perk up immediately. He smiled at her, still feeling a bit of amazement at the entire situation. "Morning, Mollywobbles," he murmured happily, reaching his hand out to give hers a gentle squeeze.

You really didn't get used to having babies.

Molly, a very experienced woman in the subject, thought that things were going to go smoothly and easy because--well, she knew what to expect. So she didn't panic when the contractions first started, she didn't yell at the boys to be calm and relax and get dressed, she laughed at Arthur and Fabian and Gideon for looking absolutely terrified, and she'd even commented on how lovely Gleny's blouse was before she was admitted into St. Mungo's.

Of course, that calm went right out the window when the real contractions and the real pushing began, but Molly liked to believe she handled it all very, very well. Which was needed, apparently, because her husband was acting as if he were a new father, terrified of babies and all that they brought. But, that was Arthur, and she knew he'd bounce back the second Ron was here.

Ron! Oh, she felt like she'd been waiting years to meet him, it was really the first time she'd felt so connected to one of her babies, while they were still inside of her. She loved all of her boys equally, but his name had come so quickly, his favorite foods were already evident, and for some reason---she felt like this was going to be her last.

So maybe she wanted to cherish him just a bit more.

"Morrrrrrrning," she cooed, squeezing Arthur's hand again, "you should go back to sleeeeep."

"Mmm, I'm good," he said with a smile, pushing himself up out of the chair. He carefully leaned over the hospital bed to give her a kiss, brushing her hair back behind her ear. "Are you feeling alright? Do you need me to get anything?" He placed a small string of kisses randomly; the tip of her nose, her cheek, her lips again. He was so elated about the birth and moving on with things from there.

Arthur carefully perched himself on the edge of her bed, gently rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb as he held her hand in his. They would probably be bringing Ron in soon for a visit, he imagined, considering he'd need feeding and just time in general with his mummy. Everything was so terribly exciting at that moment for Arthur.
