Even though he was playing along, he wasn't very good at acting whatever part he was trying to play. For example, instead of trying to pretend like he was some big strong knight that had come to her rescue, he kept his smile in place. He really couldn't help it though, because as mushy and rediculous as it sounded, Eliza just made him smile. Just standing there, being absolutely adorable was enough to make him happy, even when he was down in the dumps. Not that he was at that particular moment, but when he was she did and...yeah.
"I'm not exactly in any hurry to move, either...although I do suppose that we'll have to move eventually, but I mean, for right now I think we're good where we are." He probably should have ended with the first part, but because he was Dedalus he didn't. Another smirk appeared on his lips before he moved closer to press them against her own, kissing her sweetly.
