Who: The Jordans!!!
Where: Daycare >>
What: Breaking rules.
Today was Lee Jordan's fifteenth day in daycare. That meant the little boy had been coming to daycare for two weeks and one day. Two weeks was a number of important significance, because it was the time period that Lee's parents had agreed upon, a set deadline as to when they were not allowed to visit him during the day, outside of their lunch breaks.
Well---
Andre had agreed to that.
Adelaide found no reason to keep herself from visiting her
son whenever she got a free moment. What was wrong with
that? Okay, so her lunch breaks got cut to maybe fifteen minutes because of it, but what did it matter! She had to make sure Lee wasn't getting beaten by the other unruly children running around, that he was being fed properly because Adelaide was
sure no one knew how to cut his chicken fingers correctly and---
She stopped short at the sight of her
husband standing in the waiting room of the daycare, "What the hell are
you doing here!"
Two weeks and one day. If you sit down and think about it, that is a really short amount of time. How could Andre truly assess the capabilities this daycare had in taking care of his son in a mere two weeks of random visits. It took him a
year of
constantly watching his interns before trusting them not to kill patients when left on their own. So it was ridiculous for him to have agreed to no visits after two weeks.
Well what Adelaide didn't know wouldn't hurt her...
He was just about to check in when he heard a
very familiar voice from behind him. He had to think fast. Andre was
fine with Lee being in daycare. Adelaide was the one having trouble letting go. He mutter a quick obscenity under his breath before turning around. "I was... just making sure
you weren't here. And here you are, breaking the rules!"
"Hell yes I'm breaking the rules!" Adelaide had no problem admitting her guilt, but the fact that her husband was here, after he'd teased and made fun of her for not being able to let
go! Let go her ass, why should she have to let go of her son? She made him, she should be able to decide whether or not he was ready to head off into the real world. He could barely say his bloody
name!
"
You are breaking the rules too! They specifically stated that we were not to step
foot into Caterpillar Clubhouse unless owled by the teacher or to pick Lee
up!" Adelaide hissed, stepping forward and jabbing her husband in the chest. "
This is stepping into the Caterpillar Clubhouse for
other reasons!"
Adelaide huffed, hoping that the woman in charge didn't come out here just yet;
she wanted to get all her anger out before they saw Lee.
"Well how do you know that I
didn't get an owl? HMM?" Ok so that was a little far fetched being as he just told her that he was here checking to she if she was here and yea. And you want to know something else, Andre had every right to be there whether or not he got an owl or it was breaking some rule he made, he was Lee's
father and he had to make sure Lee wasn't beating all the other children at all the games to badly.
"And you should really watch you're language, our son is learning how to speak and we don't want him showing up to daycare saying hell or
worse." The lady running the place already thought they were crazy, they didn't need to add anything to that.
She wanted to kill her husband. There was a raging urge to
stab him boiling up inside of her, and Adelaide had to remind herself
repeatedly that they were in a daycare, and that she could not commit murder in front of children.
When they got home, that would be a different story.
"Don't you
hmm me, Andre Michael Jordan!" Adelaide hissed, pushing Andre in the chest again. She was
not above public spousal abuse (as long as it didn't reach murderous rage---controlling it, she was
controlling it). How could he even
try to fake that he was checking up on Lee? Adelaide could read Andre like a book, it wasn't as if it was
hard to tell that they both were ridiculously protective of their son, he was their pride and joy, he was perfect and fragile, he was---
They were
not over zealous with this parenting thing. They weren't!
Adelaide huffed and stomped her foot as her eyes shot up to the clock. Great, it was probably naptime, now she wouldn't get to see Lee until it was time to come home. "Are you
happy, you have stopped me from seeing Lee."
