It was in Kobe's nature to immediately defend her friends, hell, that was the only bit about her that she could say was the reason behind her being a Hufflepuff. Insanely loyal to those she was close to, and--and you know, even then, that could just be because she was a Catchlove. Anyhow, a flare of anger shot up at his insult of Meredith, and Kobe twitched to retort with some long, winding speech about how her friend was better than anyone in the bloody Slytherin house, but--
--but her friend, currently, was seeing Gavin Daniels (or whatever they were calling it, these days), and Kobe could not find it in herself to defend here. Which was horrible, but Kobe knew it was horrible and wrong of her, so did that technically make it not as bad, since she felt guilty? Yes? No? Maybe?
Kobe simply sniffed and dropped down into the closest chair, crossing her legs and arms in a stuffy manner. Maybe just not saying anything at all would be the best way to handle this.
