Wedding guests!
Huh.

She and Caden were married.

Estella stood at the edge of the dance floor as a few of the Puddlemere men (who had obviously had too much to drink) danced a rather ridiculous (but choreographed!) dance. Her expression was mixed with confusion, disbelief, and amusement, and she looked up at Caden with raised eyebrows. He most certainly did not know that this was going to happen.

"Our first Puddlemere moment as a married couple," she said, adding that onto the list of 'firsts' she'd been making through the day. First kiss, first hand holding, first time tripping into him. That was her dress' fault, however, so she wasn't sure how much that counted. First dance, first---surely the list was longer than that! Estella leaned forward to kiss him, and soundly checked off 'first forgotten thought' in her head.

Yes, yes--it was a very good feeling, being his wife, and as the Puddlemere dance came to a resounding end, Estella imagined how the rest of the night was going to go---Marcus and Jacob were hyped up on sugar.

As much as he hated to say it, the dancing was something he was used to, over the years. It was not the first event he had gone to, where his team had decided to do something completely idiotic, and this was no exception. He hoped it would but, but they must have known his patience level would be greater than it normally was, because of the fact that he had just gotten married. True, he had been stressing all day, wondering if for some reason Estella wouldn’t show up, or if Marcus was going to decide to chuck both of the rings down the aisle, or even worse…swallow them. That would have been perfect, having to delay their vows while they rushed his son to the hospital. Those promises of staying together through sickness and health were more words than some of the guests had ever heard him say. Then again, he hadn’t met some of the guests before their wedding. True, it was a very small ceremony, but they hadn’t exactly introduced each other to that many people.

“Are you going to keep-“

He was going to ask her if she was going to keep listing things off all night, but was distracted by her lips against his own. An arm went around her waist, pulling her close before he heard whooping and cheering coming from the boys on the stage. He managed to smirk as he pulled away, looking to the Puddlemere boys. “Just because it’s my wedding day, that doesn’t mean I won’t hurt each and every one of you.” The men grinned at him before they each moved forward to give him a hand shake, and a man-hug before walking back to their seats, leaving Caden and Estella Flint to stand by themselves as people flooded back onto the dance floor.

Estella Flint. It wasn’t something he was used to saying right away, or even hearing, but he liked it. He loved it actually, because he loved her.

“So.” He said as he looked back over to her. He looked…happy. Something that wasn’t necessarily common for him. He wasn’t constantly smiling, or laughing, not that he hadn’t done both of them a few times throughout the night, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t happy. That just meant that he was Caden. “We haven’t chosen a wedding song yet, have we?”

[OOC: Okay, we already discussed their wedding song, but I think I have a cute idea, so if you could just play along with them not having picked one, it'd be awesome? :)]

Estella had remained looking up at Caden after they parted, and she blinked a few times after he issued his question. A wedding song? She blinked again, and then looked out at the dance floor, then toward the band that was playing (well, band---for the first hour and then a wireless was going to be set up and---).

A wedding song?

"OhmyGod," she let out quickly, turning red immediately as she squeezed closer to Caden's side. She'd forgotten! She'd forgotten to tell the---how could she have---why didn't anyone ask or remind her and---Estella had been so very happy that not a thing seemed to have gone wrong, and one of the most important parts of the reception was completely missing and...and--she was going to kill the band leader. Wasn't that his job, to know what the bride and groom's first dance would be to? Didn't he find something odd at the fact that she hadn't told him?

"I---I--er--it could just be this one, I guess," she muttered, waving her hand in the air, unsure of what the singer was even saying.

It ran through his mind almost immediately that he probably should have thought of a better way to bring this to her attention, and would hold her close to his side as she had a mini panic attack. He could see it in her eyes, even from the angle he was standing at, that she was thinking it over a million times; and from the way she was glaring at the band leader, he could tell that she was planning on hurting him for not bringing it up. “Hm…it could be…but I think I have a better idea.” Leaning down, he kissed her, again, and then moved his hand down to take her own, as the song came to an end.

”Ladies and gentleman! I would like to invite the bride and groom, Caden and Estella, to the dance floor!”

Caden looked over at Estella and gave her a small smile. “I believe that’s us.” Giving her hand a gentle tug, they both walked to the center, listening to everyone clap, or ‘whoop’ for them as they did so. They stopped in the middle, and remained facing each other.

”Don’t they both look wonderful tonight?”

The groom gave the band leader a look that let him know that he wasn’t up for the mushy banter, and wanted him to get on with what they had discussed. Caden had actually taken the time to do some planning for this wedding, even if no one noticed.

”Er…right…well, without any further interruptions, I’d like to present to you, a very good friend of mine…Mr.James Lordes.”

It was then that a young man came out onto the stage, greeted by polite clapping before the band started up. The song they were playing was slow, and beautiful. A melody that Caden hadn’t heard since…his first date with Estella. The first song they ever danced to, on their first date.

”I can only give you love…that lasts forever…”

Caden looked down at Estella, pulling her closer to him as his other hand went to her waist. “I think this works much better, wouldn’t you agree?”

Her feet didn't start moving at first, and her body didn't sway. Estella was stunned at the sound of the song, at the sight of the singer, and it all came rushing back to her as if it were yesterday. How had he found him, how did Caden even remember--It didn't take long for her to start to dance, and she was trying, trying so very hard to not begin to cry at how touching all of this was.

"Do you know--how many times I listened to this song afterward?" she said softly, leaning in close. They hadn't even prepared a dance, and she was a dance instructor, but Estella found that the slow swaying was much more appropriate than a waltz or anything she could have come up with. "The record's nearly worn out."

Her mind was flooding with details from the night, how nervous she had been before hand, he'd brought her a rose and--she danced with an old man who looked lonely, and then they kissed by the Leaky Cauldron.

"I was standing in a puddle for our first kiss," she mused, looking up with a grin, and conveniently ignoring the fact that they'd snogged like crazy people a week before their first date.
