「ᶯicole → ᵝoot」 ([info]nicoles) wrote in [info]valesco,
Weddings were a good thing. Maybe it was the healthy amount of alcohol she'd had in her system by now, but weddings were pretty okay. Actually, weddings were basically the only truly 'girly' thing that Nick liked (and would actually admit that she liked to other people). What was there not to like about them, anyway? There was fun and drinking and dancing and just being happy over something that was worth celebrating. It was kind of like a team victory party, but girlier and much more classy and with nicer clothes.

There seemed to be a lot of them happening lately, too. What, there was Flint getting married now, and then Finn in a few month's time (for which she was supposed to be a bridesmaid, something she didn't truly understand, but didn't exactly mind either)---almost the whole team was married, actually. Bell had gotten hitched earlier that year, and Rafe, and who knew how long it would be before Dennis asked that girlfriend of his. Actually, come to think of it, that only really left herself and Martin; but they'd had this conversation before. Not about marriage, per se, but commitment, and in truth, he bounced between being mature and being a child so much that she was never sure how ready they were for anything even resembling that.

Apparently today was one of his days to be a child, as she watched from the sidelines him and a couple other members of their team made drunken fools of themselves with their little dance. At least she'd had too much alcohol and it was too good of a night to care how he looked---she supposed she could let him make an idiot of himself at least once a year without a reprimand.

As he and the other men came off the dance floor, Nicole even clapped. See, definitely too much to drink. "I hope you're not saving that for a reprise at Finn's," she teased him.
