He was in a good mood.
Grayson leaned lazily across the chair until he could peer around the back of it and let his lips twitch into a brief smirk. "I told you it wouldn't take long." Not that he'd really specified where he was going or what he was doing, but that was relatively routine where he was concerned. No need to put Ophelia into danger by telling her just what he was up to.
Besides, he had a feeling that she probably felt better not knowing. "I hope I didn't wake you." Mid-evening naps weren't unheard of, after all, and he really did hope he hadn't disturbed her too terribly.
You know, from rest ... not from a healthy mental existence. People didn't get to have those around him.
