Mary shook her head slowly. "No, why? Is that a bad thing?" she asked, now looking at Mackenzie's hands as they found her pulse. She wasn't dying, was she? Because there was way too much left on her plate for her to die now.
She could feel the subtle shift in the atmosphere from that one revelation. She didn't know how she could tell, but she just knew that the wheels were turning in Mackenzie's head. She nearly blurted out that perhaps going to Mungo's would be the best idea for her, but that would be preposterous. She had a perfectly capable healer sitting next to her, there was no need to have someone else check her out. "I don't have food poisoning, do I?" she said finally, looking to Mackenzie for confirmation.
