There was a delicate balance to her current state of nausea and she was walking the very very thin line between feeling completely fine and wanting to hurl. Right now? She was fine but falling. Oi, not happy. She heard Mackenzie knock and was trying to get up from the couch. Without the vomiting.
She slowly opened the door and offered a feeble smile to Mackenzie. "Thank you," she said softly, beckoning her into the flat. Mary went back over to her spot on the couch, pulling the fleece blanket around her as another bout of nausea hit her. "I don't know what to do," she moaned into the blanket, her legs curled up to her chest.
Being around Mackenzie without Sebastian around was strange, but...well, maybe this was a good thing. She'd always hoped that the two of them would become closer as time went on and--Mary hated to admit it, but it was probably her fault. Maybe now was her chance to amend that. Having her there was a good thing.
