Who: Ludo and Miranda
What: Extra help for play practice
When: Sunday afternoon, after they finish up with the all cast practice

Ludo was nervous and anxious and all together not looking forward to this. He had done horribly all afternoon and he was a bit surprised that Miranda hadn't thrown more than nasty glares at him. He sighed as he sat at the edge of their makeshift stage, then let himself slowly fall back until he was lying on the table, his feet dangling, kicking as he waited. He had been so caught up in school and Quidditch and play practice lately that...this was the first time he'd taken a breather for himself. His thoughts were mulled and racing; there were so many things that he had to remember, that he had to make sure happened that if he were to write them out it would likely take a whole 24 inches of parchment. So many expectations, so many lines...and he didn't even want to think about the bloody dancing.

No, not just yet at least. Right now he had reverted back to childhood. He was alone in his own little world; the bright sunlight was shining on his face, painting the inside of his eyelids a bright red that danced and twinkled with spots of black here and there from a tree outside. As his feet dangled, he thought that he may look childish but as it was only him and Miranda...well, that wouldn't much matter would it? She already thought him to be the biggest arse in the school, so there wasn't much he could do to taint his reputation further. He let out a slow sigh before humming to himself a bit from summer nights.

Ludo sighed slowly. He wasn't embarrassed about it. Well, at least he didn't think so. He stared at their hands, biting his lower lip as he continued to think. An honor...right. No, he wasn't scared. Just...he had to be perfect. He had to do this all right and wonderfully or bugger him, he'd never be able to face his friends or family or anyone. So yes, he had a lot on his mind. But that didn't make him scared. Did it?

He shook his head as if doing so would remove all of his thoughts and doubts and worries. "Right. So...Where do you want to start, then," he said softly, finally looking away from their hands and back up at her. It was probably obvious, but he didn't want to be the one that got everything going--she was the director, that was her job.

"...summer heat, boyyyy and girl meet..."

Miranda rolled her eyes. Fucking honestly; that was when Danny and Sandy interacted for the first time in the song (it was a theater trick, they weren't 'really' dancing with each other, it was more of an...er...it was a trick. And illusion. Or something. Anyway, Ludo should know this.

"Right? So it's---" She sang the line again, and spun into Ludo, only to let out immediately. He was supposed to bend then, so she could sit on his knee. "From there, that part."

She walked out again, taking his hand at arm's length. "One, two, three--"

"But oh, oh those summer nights..." he sang as he bended down onto one knee, twirling her down to sit there comfortably. Despite Miranda's agreeing to help him out, he was a bit put off by how annoyed she seemed about even helping him out.

He was so coordinated on the pitch, he wasn't sure why he couldn't get it to work while he was singing. He sighed inwardly as he tried to keep up with what Miranda was doing. Some sort of goofy, cheesy hopping dance skip thing. the whole thing made him feel mental.

The one thing that Miranda kept telling herself was, that if Ludo really didn't want to do this, he would've quit a long time ago. His ego was far too big to deal with something he didn't like, so the fact that he was still around meant that he wanted to do this and wanted to be good. So that's why she kept working with him, defending him when people mumbled. Miranda knew that he wouldn't let himself be humiliated.

"Good," she said, once they finished, "Let's do again, but--" Miranda smirked, and then pulled Ludo closer to her. She put his hands on his hips and began to sway him side to side. "You're too stiff."

Miranda looked up at Ludo with a light smirk, "These aren't some plays you execute on the pitch. On stage, you're Danny Zuko. You're the leader of the Burger Boys!" During her little inspirational (or hopefully inspirational speech) Miranda had begun to sway with him, trying to gain some sort of natural rhythm, "You're hip, you're the coolest cat on campus, you own Rydell High."

She stepped away and got into the starting position, eyebrows high and challenging, "Now show me."

He swallowed hard when she grabbed at his hips. Despite his body's distraction, his mind was focusing on her words. Right, he was more than...than Ludo Bagman. He was the shit, so to speak. This shouldn't be too hard, right? He was Ludo, after all. Chicks dig him. That's what Danny Zuko was; he was the big shot. He smirked as he looked down at her, watching her as she moved away. This was a challenge, now. Miranda Dodderidge, the one girl who frustrated him beyond belief, had finally gotten it through his thick skull.

"Oh, I can show you," he replied, feeling rather smug with himself as they started the combination. Everything went smashingly until...well, until that whole swinging under each other's arms thing. He knew good and well that he was supposed to let go and that he was supposed to take a step or two back. But he was Danny Zuko. And Danny Zuko would not let a babe like Miranda get away from him. No no no. So instead of following the set choreography and letting her go, he pulled her in. Stopping mid-sentence (or phrase since they were supposed to be singing), he looked at Miranda before slowly leaning in and kissing her. Bugger Hogwarts, bugger Quidditch, bugger the two of them being frenemies; right now Ludo Bagman was in the groove, and he wasn't going to let Miranda Dodderidge--excuse me--single and lonely Miranda Dodderidge to get away from him.

It wasn't exactly what she meant by showing her.

Miranda had been ready to scold Ludo for missing up the swinging when he shoved his tongue down her throat. At first she was startled, because anyone would be, but then--maybe he'd just been doing a really good job at getting into character, but their still linked hands tightened around each other. She involuntarily fell into him and kissed back, as if she were Sandy swooning over Danny.

Mother fucking hell, she should not be kissing Danny---Ludo Bagman.

It goes against all things holy, it does. Ludo Bagman doesn't deserve to be kissed! He's a smack talking jerk that---and--and she had a boyfri---oh. The twinge of guilt she'd been feeling swept away; she loved Ralph, but he'd completely fucked her over, and that meant she could let this rather good feeling go on for just a bit longer.

Merlin's beard, why did this feel so right to him? She'd been so impossible and...well, forbidden so to speak. Now that he was kissing her, he wasn't sure why he hadn't tried this sooner. Miranda Dodderidge, he had firmly decided, was quite the kisser. And she smelled really, really good. He squeezed her hands gently before letting his right hand release to move up to her hair. He slowly pushed a bit of hair from her face (lest it get in the way of his glorious lips) before letting his fingers slowly move down through it before resting at her hip.

Pulling away from the kiss slowly, he let his forehead rest on hers and let out a long breath. He was at a loss for words and hoped that she wasn't going to smack him or something. It wouldn't matter, because that moment had been worth a thousand smacks in his mind.

A signature expression of Miranda Dodderidge's were 'eyes as wide as quaffles' and it surely described her face at the moment. Ludo was being all sweet and holy shit this was not something she wanted to be doing. Not because---well, she was mad at Ralph, so that had felt good and well Ludo was a good kisser and he'd done that thing with his fingers on her side and fuck--

"I---" Miranda looked away, and then pulled away, turning and pointing to the door of the room, "I---I have to---I have---I--"

She turned back to him, hands planting firmly on her hips. No, okay. She didn't have to feel guilty, but she did, and she sure as hell knew that Ludo knew she would, so her brow furrowed deeply.

"Why'd you do that!"

He looked back at her just as confused, "I did it because it felt right, Miranda." He sighed loudly before pacing the other way. No...that wasn't how she was supposed to react. If she was going to get all protesty and pouty, she was supposed to stop him the second he started and smacked him and walked off. That was the proper way of doing things; Miranda Dodderidge enjoyed it and he knew it.

"If you were going to go and get your knickers in a knot, why'd you let me do it?" he asked, finally turning back around to face her. He glared a bit at her, crossing his arms over his chest. He was not about to tell her that--that he fancied her. Pah.

"I---you! That's not the---"

Miranda pouted greatly, crossing her arms over her chest almost exactly like Ludo was. It wasn't fair. He had totally abused her fragile state, especially when she was in character. God damn it, now she had this to be upset about too, and Miranda felt her eyes get teary as she let out an exasperated sigh.

"It's not that easy, so---so---I've got to go," she muttered, turning on a heel. It wasn't that easy! He couldn't just go and kiss her! It didn't make any sense! She was in love with someone else and even though they'd completely and utterly broken her heart---ARRRRGHHHHHH!

Fragile state his pudgy muscular white arse. "Fine!" he yelled out after her as he watched her walk away. "I've fancied you, you know," he added in a normal tone, doubting that she'd actually hear him. Not that it mattered...Ludo could never do anything right as it was. Let her walk away, she wasn't worth his trouble anyways.

Ludo continued to pace, letting his annoyance with the entire situation build up on him. Oh, right...he'd taken complete advantage of her but--but she hadn't done anything wrong at all and. He huffed loudly as he glared at the window. It was all a load of rubbish. Ralph had been a complete arse to her and she--she still wasn't over it already. Ludo paced over to the door, glaring at the frame before letting the pinky side of his fist collide roughly with it. He felt a sharp pain in his finger--a bruise, at the very least...possibly broken. It didn't bother him any. He huffed before stalking out of the room himself to go sulk in his dormitory.
