Please add the awesome Herald Alberich of Karse to your friends lists~

And, due do a complete lack of fanart, Alberich will be only having one icon. Don't worry, I'll tell you what his expression is (it'll be scowling most of the time anyways).

Oh, and while I'm here I'll explain his powers. Alberich has MindSpeech. This means he can communicate telepathically. Telepathic communication looks like :This.: In case anyone is wondering that is how it is displayed in cannon. He also has really erratic (and by erratic I mean he has no control over it and it almost never happens) ForeSight that allows him to see up to two hours in the future. Basically it shows him events where bad things happen that he can change. This probably won't happen but if he's getting a vision, I will gladly tell you.

And, on the ForeSight note, the future Alberich sees is a only a possiblity. It is not what will actually happen. Usually he'll ForeSee something bad happening to someone or thing around him. Like if you're about to get ambused by Sephiroth and he's around, he'll See it coming. Now if your character jumps out from behind a door and yells 'surprise!', he will not ForeSee that. I'm thinking I'd run any ForeSight by on IM with the muns in the thread if I choose to use it. Is that cool with everyone?

Okay in light of me having done the whole character based activity check and because a lot were dropped I'm going to list who was recently dropped. In order to satisfy a Doctor Who plot point for my upcoming haltius I feel the need to introduce a secondary character. This is the watcher. He is a faceless silent glowing man. He needs to be killed off. Perhaps someone can mistake him for a white heartless? First come first serve. I want him dead.

Ah~ I had an idea for a random event since I took up The Master. It sounds interesting to me but that's generally the downfall of plans, amirite?

My idea was for The Master to basically 'hijack' the communications systems via Agatha's lab. You know phones, compies, the cameras littered about via Hiruma and broadcast waves that basically caused people to lose memories. People would have control over what their characters lost or if they were even effected at all. They could forget people, events, past events in their lives, or even being in ttown just as a few examples.

It wouldn't really be long term cause I'm sure somebody uneffected would go give The Master a little bit of a smack but I think it could prove to be a fun event. Take a baddie and get straight to doing bad things. I just wanted some feedback to see if people would even be interested in this sort of event.

Inquiry

I was going to begin revamping the claimed list. Though while going through the list I was noticing some characters we haven't seen or heard from in awhile. So here is the list of those. I cut it off at November 15th. So if your character is on this list speak up if you want to keep it or not. The characters you do keep though try to use them once or so every couple of months. We really gotta cut back on character hoarding around here.

By no means does this mean yours is getting dropped but this is something everything is guilty of and I seriously need to know if you're going to actually be playing these or not. If you're not it's better to drop it and possibly allow someone who wants to and will be active on them to take them up.

I've noticed we've been kind of having a slight lull lately. So to spark some interest again, would it be cool if Agatha accidentally released some giant tentacle monster on Traverse Town?

I was thinking that it's only weakness would be broccoli (yes, this does mean shooting/slashing/blowing it up won't work, if anything it'll annoy the beast but if you drop broccoli on it, it shrinks and starts to wiether away) and what it did when it 'got someone' would be to stick them in a rediculous steam punk clown suit that didn't allow for good freedom of movement. Someone with siccsors or a skilled swordsman with a blade could easily cut the person out of the clown suit, it'd just be extremely difficult to remove when you were wearing one. Well an unskilled swordsman could cut someone out too, they'd just be running the risk of cutting the person.

It doesn't have to be my anti-broccoli tentacle monster, it can be something else just as random. I just liked the idea of the monster that doesn't kill people, but does annoy and isn't easily destroyed.

Thought you might want to know....

What is it with me picking up obscure characters with abnormal abilities?

Okay, Buzz only has two tricks and they aren't the complicated.

First trick is that he's actually an amazing doctor. He's from the middle-ages and uses basically modern-day medical technology to heal people. His practices notably include double-boiling his instruments, sanitizing things with alcohol, and pulling a mask over his nose and mouth and using gloves. In cannon he spends a lot of time doing things like removing bullets, identifying and removing tumors, he even reattaches a guy's arm and preforms a external fixator. Not to mention Buzz does have a good knowledge of herbs and whatnot to actually make things like chloroform (he uses this as an anestetic) and heart medicine for a guy that was having a heart attack. This means people can get sick, break their bones, and accidentally cut of limbs now since we have someone who can (and will) put them back together.

The second trick (the one the icon's related too) is that with his left hand he can check a person's vitals just by touching them. Not an entirely useful thing most of the time, if if he grabs someone with his left hand and their heart his pounding fast or some reason or another, Buzz will know.

And on a random note, Buzz calls himself the 'Asklepios' which is the Greek god of medicine and healing. It also means 'to cut open'. Certain people (of which I believe L would be one) would actually know the signifcance of Buzz's title.

New Year's Chat-Party

NEW YEAR'S ~~SEXY~~ PARTY

That's right folks. Like the ball only one hell of a lot smaller and waaaaaaaay less formal. Those of you stuck at home today have the option of attending our FABULOUSLY AWESOME Traverse Town New Year's party. Lots of booze and confetti and fireworks and streamers and chips and dip and punch and pie and hot butlers serving you and babes and ohhhh yeah. It all takes place in the penhouse of the inn man ~~if anyone is interested in purchasing the penhouse it is currently on the market and will go to the highest bidder~~.

Anyway you join with whatever screenname you feel comfortable with and roleplay it out like so:

Hi! Jordan here finally picking up another claim.

I bring you Conan Edogawa or rather actually Shinichi Kudou. The 17-year-old detective who has now been drugged and has the body of a seven year old kid. So of course while in Traverse he'll be going by his alias and pretending to be a grade schooler.

Which means he'll probably need a nice adoptive family. *puppy eyes*

Christmas + New Year's

HIYO~! Just dropping in a nice note. Christmas decorations will be up through New Year's and will be gone offically Jan.3nd. -'Cause I realized it would be totally impractical to put the gifts under the tree and then remove it. Where the hell would the gifts go? So if you didn't get the chance to go iceskating or anything go right on ahead now. You got a little bit more time.

On New Year's Day, seeing as a lot of people will be ~somewhere~ there won't be an event-event but if anyone's going to be around like I'll be ~~cause I totally have no life~~ I'll run a chatroom we could get our character's wasted and set fireworks off in. Sound good~?

Clifford would like to remark that the football event's chatroom is open. It is TTownFootballGame. The games officially start at the top of the next hour (6 pm PST or 9 pm ECT).

Remember- you are using only one IM for all of your people, remember to differentiate between people.

Example:

Kairos Skyeyes: (Clifford) Where the hell did that idiot go?
Kairos Skyeyes: (Mamori) If he's not here in 15 minutes we'll be moving onto a two on two game.
Kairos Skyeyes: (Clifford) *grumbles* Just the crapper on my day...!

I will be pasting the chats into a word document and tomorrow, loading the games up for people to look at as posts.

I have ways of dealing with the stiuation if people don't show up. You have a 15 minute window after the offical game time to show up and not be considered 'late'. If people don't show up, I have ways of compensating for this.

Christmas Event!

The gift giving seemed to be the majority vote and I figured a lot of people wouldn't be around on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day so this gift event can start now. RIGHT NOW.

Rules of the event~:
There a bunch of gifts mysteriously placed under the big tree in the First District~ one for every character. Who the heck is it from? SANTA OFCOURSE. Every gift has a label saying: "To: Insertyourcharacter'snamehere -Santa ♥. Yes there's a heart. Santa loves you.

It's up to you to decide what the gift is~! Muns get to pick what their characters get* and how it's wrapped etc. If you're a character that **is celebrating your second Christmas here~ (they've been here since Dec.2008~) you get two gifts~ for a kudos to you!

Like last time: This event has no limit! It'll keep going till everybody has opened their gift.

*please don't put something reaaaally crazy in there like a magic lamp or the holy grail. mmkay? Love potions, a new puppy, candy underwear, and gun are totally cool though. The possibilities are endless.

Football Match-Ups and Times

I was looking at the times in which most people are available. Would it be okay for everyone if we held the matches on Dec 26 and Dec 27 between the hours of 8:00 pm ECT and Midnight ECT? We're only having three matches (unless people find time to have a second round). Each winning team is awarded a cake of their choice and the best player from each winning team gets a golden laurel wreath (synthed that morning). Push come to shove, I might be able to have a match on Christmas day, but it would be later, like, 2:00 am ECT.

I used a random number generator to help me generate the match ups:

Team 2 vs. Team 6
or: Zack, Teito, Dante vs. Rolo, Luffy, Kyoko
Team 3 vs. Team 1
or: Hiruma, Leon, Agatha vs. Clifford, Alphonse, America
Game on the 27:
Team 4 vs. Team 5
or: Sena, Link, Mikage vs. Suzaku, Shadow Link, Sun Ce

If there's an issue with these, let me know.

I'm going to be giving exact times this Thursday (Dec 24, Christmas Eve), so you have to reply and tell me you're cool with that window or not before then. Not doing so means I'll pick a time that might be inconvenient for you and if you can't and don't show up and disqualify your team that would be sad. So please reply.

EDIT: In the event only 2/3 people on a team show up for a game, a replacement player can be drug in. This person can come from anyone who's in the RP and online at the time. That includes characters other characters of your own and the same series rule does not apply (ex: if America didn't show up, Edward could join Alphonse on team 1). If only one person shows up, someone from the opposing team will join your team and we will have a two on two game (ex: Luffy's the only one from team 6 that shows up, so Dante joins him and they play Zack and Teito). I'm willing, to an extent, do a reschedule if we still want the three on three.

Time requests

For all of those participating in the football event:

From what I have heard about the times for the football event, people won't really be around until after Christmas.

So I need to know when people have two hour slots between the hours of 10 am and 2 am ECT (or 7 am and 11 pm PST) from Dec 26 to Jan 3rd. I'm pretty sure the games will take less time, but I would really like to know.

The teams are officially:
Team 1- Clifford, Alphonse, America
Team 2- Zack, Teito, Dante
Team 3- Hiruma, Leon, Agatha
Team 4- Sena, Link, Mikage
Team 5- Suzaku, Shadow Link, Sun Ce
Team 6- Rolo, Luffy, Kyoko
Team 7- Gino, Deadpool, Sanji (members of whom are welcome to show up late and crash someone's game)

Match ups are going to be mostly based on schedule alignments. I am open to suggestions if you have any. Team 7 will not be included in this because we already made arrangements for them to not show. If you really don't want that to happen to you, please let me know so I can make sure that it doesn't happen to you.

Quick question to the mods:

Since we have a Midna now, can Link transform into his wolf form using the corrupted rock Zant 'gave' them? And go back using the Master Sword?

(For those who are not familiar with Twilight Princess, Link transforms into a wolf. When he is a wolf he can talk to animals, but not humans. He also has hightened senses, so he can sniff things down assuming he has some kind of mark on the scent (aka he has to know what the scent is and differentiate it from other scents). He would not be able, like a normal wolf, to identify people's moods or their state of wellness since he's not a wolf naturally.)
