What is it with me picking up obscure characters with abnormal abilities?
Okay, Buzz only has two tricks and they aren't the complicated.
First trick is that he's actually an amazing doctor. He's from the middle-ages and uses basically modern-day medical technology to heal people. His practices notably include double-boiling his instruments, sanitizing things with alcohol, and pulling a mask over his nose and mouth and using gloves. In cannon he spends a lot of time doing things like removing bullets, identifying and removing tumors, he even reattaches a guy's arm and preforms a external fixator. Not to mention Buzz does have a good knowledge of herbs and whatnot to actually make things like chloroform (he uses this as an anestetic) and heart medicine for a guy that was having a heart attack. This means people can get sick, break their bones, and accidentally cut of limbs now since we have someone who can (and will) put them back together.
The second trick (the one the icon's related too) is that with his left hand he can check a person's vitals just by touching them. Not an entirely useful thing most of the time, if if he grabs someone with his left hand and their heart his pounding fast or some reason or another, Buzz will know.
And on a random note, Buzz calls himself the 'Asklepios' which is the Greek god of medicine and healing. It also means 'to cut open'. Certain people (of which I believe L would be one) would actually know the signifcance of Buzz's title.
