Thanksgiving break was not nearly long enough. Those were Tiffany's thoughts on the matter, anyway. Having only four days off just wasn't long enough. She knew Christmas break would be right around the corner, but coming back to school this morning had been hard.
She'd had trouble paying attention in her classes and done quite a bit of daydreaming. It was really a miracle that she'd managed to catch her homework assignments. Which she was now working on while she waited for her big brother. She usually caught a ride home with him. She wasn't sure what his plans were today, but she figured if she just hung out right here, she'd catch him eventually. She hoped so, anyway, because it would be a long walk home if he didn't show.
In the meantime, she pulled out her history book and started to read. She didn't especially like history and she couldn't help making something of a face as she saw how many pages she had to read, but she figured she might as well get started. |
