Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:♣ character: chance moore, ♣ character: hope pitt, ♥ player: betta, ♥ player: cindy

Who: Chance and Hope
What: AT THE ZOO!
When: Jun 25th afternoon time

Chance was tired of sitting at home, so when his friend Hope seemed a little bit sad because of her boyfriend possibly cheating, he thought she could use some time away. He offered to take her to the zoo and hang out. They met at the gate and Chance gave her a warm hug. It was nice to get out of the house.

"I'm glad you got to come out with me. I've been so bored at home. How are you doing?" He asked as they made their way through the turnstiles.

While it was a beautiful day, there was still a cloud hanging over Hope's head. She was doing a great job at ignoring the doubt that was hanging over her.

"I'm okay. Same stuff, different day," she told Chance, giving her friend a smile.

Alicia probably would have been able to tell, but she knew Hope better than almost anyone. She was doing her best to ignore the rumor. It could be just that. And it wasn't like she knew of anything that pointed to the truth. Nothing other than a feeling she was getting.

"Bored in summer?" she added. Her features formed a shocked expression. How could anyone be bored during summer? It was one of her favorite times of the year.

Chance motioned for her to step in beside him and they started walking. The trees, the birds, the kids running around and the animals screeching, it was nice out and this was a fun place, a nice chance to get out. She seemed sort of nonchalant, he picked up on that, but he wasn't going to push.

When she asked about summer he cocked an eyebrow at her. "Really? You're not? I mostly just sit at home bored out of my mind counting down the days to camp or going to volunteer at something." He looked down at his feet and shrugged. "It's kind of lonely I guess."

"It doesn't have to be," Hope said when he mentioned being lonely. Chance was a nice guy with some friends. She was hard pressed to think someone would turn down hanging out with him, at least if they weren't busy and were bored themselves. "Call friends up. At least then you can be bored together or figure out a way to fix that." Just like they were doing now.

"Sometimes moments get boring I suppose," Hope added. "I hang out with friends, go out, go swimming. I don't know. Whatever comes up." She really loved summer though. And when she compared it to the homework she could be doing, nothing seems as boring!

"Yeah, but it can be boring," he said. "But this, this is nice. I'll just have to try to find more people to hang out with I guess." He smiled warmly at her as they walked around. It was hard for him to be outgoing and invite people out, but Hope was right. He just sort of needed to do it.

Chance smiled at her description of what her and her friends did. "There always seems to be something going on in the summer. Good and bad. Do you just hang out or do you do other things for the summer? I'm going to bible camp and I volunteer a lot. I like to keep busy, but sometimes I get wrapped up in those things and then I feel sort of lonely, ya know?" Chance shrugged it off.

"Tell me about what's going on with you and the boy and everything. Big plans for the 4th? I'm probably just going to laze around my aunt's house."

"I'll make sure to invite you the next time the group gets together," she offered. That would help, at least she hoped it would. Every so often Hope looked around at their surroundings before bringing her attention back to her friend.

"Probably seeing the fireworks and hanging out," Hope answered. It wasn't something they formally discussed yet but she was figuring that's what they would do. It was the Fourth of July. Fireworks were kind of a necessity! "Not going to see any fireworks?" she asked him.
