You will never, ever know what has transpired this summer. Well all right. First, there was a secret meeting in Russia with the leaders of the free world, and I was their leader. Then I attempted to assisinate Hitler, but I got my eye shot out instead, so I'll be sporting an eyepatch this schoolyear. Then I got eaten by sharks, spat back up,and reassembled by the magic of my pure soul, and I survived, somehow. How was your summer?

You miss me. You know you miss me. If you didn't miss me, you won't get the things I bought you from London last week, and you WANT them, Minnie mine.

So you met Stalin? He's a nasty bloke, I've heard. Don't know how he manages to live even with all those people after him. I bet he's got crazy amounts of protection spells and all that. Also, I am pretty sure an American did that, not you. Unless you spoke in an American accent in which case, I find that hilarious. My summer was dreadfully boring as I didn't go anywhere because my father is off in Cambria or Kalamajoo or some place that might not actually exist.

I might miss you. Maybe. YOU KNOW I DON'T RESPOND TO BLACKMAIL WELL, ALLIE. Are they pretty things? I might just miss you dreadfully if they are pretty things.

I DID meet Stalin, and was going to punch him, but he shot me first. And I did speak in an American accent. It was charming, and I have a Hollywood girlfriend now. She's very blonde, but lovely.

I want to visit Kalamajoo whenever we find where that is. Let's find that out.

Olive will be crushed, you know, about the Hollywood girlfriend. She does always wish she were blonder, and this will just cement her desire. I will have to hurt you for breaking her heart, you know.

I will ask my father where it is and we shall go immediately.

OH GOOD, I WOULD NOT WANT THEM TO BE LOVELIER THAN I AM. Then I would be overshadowed and what kind of friend would you be? A BAD ONE who buys things that are too pretty for his friends.

Tell my Olive that she does not have to worry, because this Hollywood girlfriend thing is just a fling and has no chance of lasting, whereas my love for her is staying and permanent. Plus, she doesn't exist. I don't know any blonde girls that I'm very fond of, actually. So telling Olive about this very false girlfriend isn't necessary, I assure you.

Don't discriminate against blondes.I've had very nice experience with blondes. They can be very nice girls. They...you'd rather I didn't finish this sentence, right?

I LOVE THAT SHIRT.

And PS, Olive is not wrathful. She is a harmless little kitten on a string. But just in case, don't tell her I was talking about other girls, either.
