I think it will be overflowing with our love, darling. OVERFLOWING.

You don’t have any gifts for me? What’d you do all summer, sit in a dark dark room and wistfully await for my return? Because that would be perfectly understandable, but a little creepy.

Also, I didn't go abroad this summer. Mum was worried about being shot and things. But I got you presents anyway, from London when I went. They're gorgeous. You'll see later. I stayed in the room for only a few days. I cried too.

Let me just start off by saying that as soon as I saw the picture, I was speechless, as was the rest of my family (until my Da burst out laughing, in the nicest way possible of course). Baby blue is definitely your color. I did swoon, after the initial shock wore off. That is a very swoon-worthy outfit you have there. MAKE IT COUNT, ALFREDO, MAKE IT COUNT.

Well they better be gorgeous. Your mum had a right to be worried. Paris was pretty in all, but the country's in shambles, what with the war and all. People trying to sell everything they can for a small loaf of bread. It's sad, mate. Makes me want to do something about it.

BUT YOU BETTER HAVE CRIED. I did. Touring the eiffel tower, I thought of you. I thought, 'Oh, how I wish my dear friend Alfred were here right now with me, seeing the lovely sights.' and a single tear rolled down my cheek. Because I am a thoughtful friend, you know. AND I CARE, UNLIKE YOU, OBVIOUSLY.

You're quite mad, you realize this, yes? I don't know what I could possibly do with any of these items that you have sent me. Nonetheless, the eiffel tower shall sit on my bookcase, the baguettes will be devoured and the picture of the frenchmen will forever sit on my mirror, so when I dress in the morning, it will be to impress him.

I'm sorry I didn't go anywhere exciting and send you presents. I suppose my love will have to do for now.

Oh, that Frenchman will know all the ways to my heart now that you've told him all about me, I'm sure. I do hope he likes magic and..well...I don't even know, really. Cute outfits? Yes, that's right. (Did you manage to meet anyone from Beauxbatons? Were their robes beautiful and posh? I wish ours were. I hate ties.)

Oh trust me, he knows all of your little secrets. I wouldn't be surprised if he came over here in desperate search of you, he thought you were that lovely. (And yes, I walked by the french version of Diagon Alley, and there were thousands of GEE-ORGOUS robes sitting in the shop, and one girl was getting hers fitted. SO JEALOUS. We should start a petition for similar ones.)

Oh, you know me too well, Minnie dear. I MAY have gotten him a baby blue beret with matching ascot and striped sweater to bring out the french in him, but you know, I could be kidding. Or not. He sent me a picture this morning actually, and I must say, it makes his eyes pop.

(I know, really. I think you should become headmaster, Minnie. Or rather, Headmistress. You would be a firecracker. A diva. You'd get the ladies those gorgeous robes and allow us to actually decorate the walls with things other than annoying paintings that like to cat call at you when you walk by and all would be well. Ah, I can see it now. We'd make Hogwarts such a lovely place. I say we because obviously, I would be your 2nd in command.)
