Apparently, it was Victor's lucky day for Elani was just stepping out of the Inn as he approached. Normally, she'd be busy inside serving but it wasn't quite suppertime yet and so the inn had not yet filled. That, and Humphrey had asked her to go on an errand for him down at Sigfred's Royal Emporium.

If she happened to be singing a song as she walked that she'd made up on the spot about how tasty Humphrey's pies were...well, the only person who might complain would be Max, now wouldn't it?
