How Gender Informs Color Preference
Hi! I'm Sal! I have questions!

If you are a girl, how much do you like pink?

If you are a boy, how much do you like blue?

No matter what you are, do you like yellow?

I like yellow. I like pink and blue, too, but yellow best.

Is there any other useful information about color-coding of gender that you can share with me?

Very, very much! Even if it's femininity is arguable.

Yellow's cool, too.

Ummm, blues okay, I suppose. I kinda like red more than I do blue.

Color coding for gender? wait...ummm....I dunno? Solids for boys and pastels for girls?

I don't know how that works. Sorry.

But why are there pastels for girls? Is it because girls have more color cones in their eyes and can see the pastels better than the boys can?

I like blue alright. Though a certain someone is convincing me of the merits of pink.
Yellow... not especially.

Green is a good, fairly gender-neutral one too, eith a lot of uses.

Are the merits of her pinkness the merits of her girl-ness? Because you like girls, so a girl painted the color of a girl is... more girl?

Pink is good only with sexual connotations or to mock over-girliness.
Camo is hot.

Gunmetal grey is always sexy as hell.

What are the sexual connotations of pink, besides 'girl'?

Pink is nice. I prefer a nice, soft, pastel shade of it over hot pink. That hurts my eyes.

I like yellow.

Isn't yellow wonderful?

Blue is my favorite color, in fact. Yellow is alright. I'm afraid I haven't done a lot of gender studies that might help you out more.

Well, I'm not really partial to any of those colors. I prefer the metallic colors. Gold, Copper, Brass and whatnot. Patina's okay and it's kinda blue-green, but that's a natural form of bronze.

I've never been one to think of colors as gender specific. its kind of stupid.

I've rocked my fair share of pink. Over my entire body.

I like blue well enough, but I prefer to make stuff for guys with it, as opposed to girls. Light blues for more scant stuff (short sleeves, tees, etc), dark blues for formal wear.

I like pink enough to dye my hair that color, and that takes effort and commitment. And I don't feel one way or the other about yellow.

I can't really think about anything else having to do with color, but there are cultures here on Earth that have more than two genders.
