Character Q&A
"Hello and welcome back to another installment of Character Q&A. This week we have Marlow and Maxwell “Max” Ezio Szasz.

Marlow is on the Defenders and grew up in the Dark Dimensioni raised by Clea. She's a sorceress and is quite fond of hellhounds.

Max Szasz is the son of Charles Victor Szasz aka Question & Helena Rosa Bertnelli. Max is a genius and a world class detective and knows martial arts..

Now comes the point where you get to ask either of these fine young heroes questions. Please keep the questions this side of appropriate and remember the person being asked can politely refuse to answer any question."

Marlow: What would you say's your biggest culture-shock experience?

Max: You're a genius. Where do all those left socks go when they disappear from the dryer?

Nearly everyone in this dimension can't do magic of some sort. Back home it was normal.

Do you figure it was actually easier that, or that people just studied it more as a cultural thing?

I think it's easier because more individuals are capable of it, so it's not a scary thing and nobody builds a wood pile to burn the sorceress.

Which might be cultural as well, that so many do practice it openly because they have the power. Enemies can't be properly afraid of you if they don't know what you're capable of, right? In the Dark Dimension, I mean. Here I've had a lot of success with underestimation.

Underestimation's a handy thing. Of course, so's overestimation sometimes. It's good to make any rep or lack of rep work for you, I guess.

What most people don’t know is that washing machines are made by the secret cabal of fashion working in concert with the Templar. They put in a quantum accelerator into the machines that randomly sends sock to the dimension of lost socks that they took over from a fallen dark good but that’s a story for another day. All of with is control by one of the Templar’s secret satellites.

Any advice for someone breaking into the adventurer/vigilante business?

A great team and a good transport spell. Being an adventurer/vigilante would be lonely all by yourself, and getting out of way when the job is done is pretty important. You don't want the team mom getting calls from the authorities.

Constant vigilance is important. Always keep an eye out for the small details that’s where things really hide.

Max...is everything part of some great big conspiracy? I mean, the Girl Scouts are responsible for crop circles? Really?

Of course everything is a part of a conspiracy. Girl scouts drug Thin Mints to make them highly addictive so that they can sell more. They also include a single Nanobot that after you eat thousand of those cookies they can control you in your sleep. To test out the control systems the make Crop circles which can then be used in dark rituals to communicate with those that walk beyond the veil.

Max, uh, what are you best memories with your parents? What was life like growing up with them?

Mornings with Dad talking about things we noticed or had questions about before mom got up and got her coffee. Mom taking me out to the shooting range with the crossbow was always fun. She inadvertently taught me a couple of swears in Italian there.

I guess you could say mom and dad really balance each other out.

Marlow: I hear ya like hellhound pups. Do you like boys or girls better?

I've never met a girl hellhound, so I'd have to say boys. Whisper is the nicest, cuddliest hellhound I ever met.

He's also the only one I ever met...

For both of you...what color is your favorite to wear for socks?

I like my color changing ones that are usually White but turn Orange when exposed to my adhesive gas.
