Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO; Stewart Ackerley && Dean Urquhart
WHEN; After Curfew!
WHERE; The rainy Quidditch pitch.
SUMMARY; Stewart decides to have a late night flight, and bumps into someone.
RATING; lets go with PG13 for now.
WARNINGS; tba
STATUS; complete.

The Ravenclaw common room was littered with parchment and other such things, Stewart shook his head and grinned at the sight, because while they were all known for being smart, being tidy was another thing. Who had time to clean while there were assignments to be completed and essays to be done? Stewart glanced along the emptying common room, his foot tapping while he stretched his arms in his seat. It was getting late but he couldn’t help but think about going out to the Quidditch pitch to fly a little bit. After all, wasn’t curfew meant to be broken? And he knew most of the prefects that would be making rounds anyway, it wouldn’t be too hard to convince his friends to let him off the hook. Stewart jumped up and waved goodbye to a few of his dorm mates before he ran up to his trunk and grabbed his broom. It wasn’t the newest version of anything but it’d been his, and had always been reliable. With a second glance at the rain outside, he grabbed a cloak and quickly decided that he would need his wand to cast impervius before the night was over. With that he ran out from Ravenclaw Tower, just as the fireplace started flickering.

It was a simple trip out of the castle, the corridors were relatively clear, there had only been one close spot when Stewart had to quickly murmur nox because he had heard Filtch’s wheezy cough. Soon enough he was out and breathing fresh air, his heart buzzing excitedly at the prospect of flying. He didn’t really know what the whole entire school was complaining about, it was just barely drizzling, and it was still warm compared to how cold it got during Christmas. He made a beeline towards the Quidditch pitch, pulling his hood over his head and making his strides longer. He vaguely wondered how much trouble he’d be in if someone caught him in his midnight flight. He wasn’t one to be afraid of authority normally, but he’d had a very long summer and didn’t really feel like having detention or worse so early in the school year. He shook his head to clear his thoughts as he neared the pitch. He squinted his eyes a bit, looking out through what was now mist, as he saw someone else out this late.

“I know they do, and I know they will treat me different.” Dean said as he looked back over to him. Dean didn’t want to be faced with the looks, the comments, or peoples ‘advice’ on it just being a phase. Dean bloody well knew it wasn’t a phase. He would come out when he was willing and ready, and it all depended on whether he had someone to be close too. Dean knew it sounded sappy but to have the comfort of a boyfriend would make it all the more easy on him.

“Care what people think? Nah I don’t really, more I don’t want to listen to the people’s comments and snide ideas. Not to mention the comments about it just being a phase. Bloody hell I would know if it was a phase or not.” Dean sighed as he shook his head. He wanted to come out mainly to get it over with, but he didn’t want to deal with the shit that came along. Dean never cared what people thought about other aspects of his life, asides for quidditch, so why would he care about what people thought of him being gay. Okay so it was sort of a like he kind of cared.

Dean was about to say something back when he felt the hand on his shoulder. He was surprised how warm it felt, but it did stop him from walking. Dean turned to look at Stewart and weakly smiled, it was the most he would get out of it. “I..uh thanks.” He said as he moved his arm to brush his hand away, but stead of removing it from him he just head the hand. Why was his body urging him to do things that he didn’t exactly want to do? Wait no he did want to do them, just he was surprised he was thinking of being so bold about it.
