Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger
WHEN: Wednesday afternoon, before dinner
WHERE: Gryffindor Boys Dorm
SUMMARY: Hermione had good news for Ron and bursts in on him when he's not quite decent.
RATING: PG? Not even
STATUS: Complete

Ron was exhausted. Well, that was a bit of an understatement. Ron was completely drained of all energy. After his last class, he had gone to the library to return a Quidditch book he'd taken out recently on famous plays and how to apply them to your team and now, he was finally heading back to Gryffindor for a bit of relaxing before dinner. He'd do his homework later. Maybe.

On the way to the tower, Ron had seen a group of third years fighting in the halls and so he had to perform his prefectly duties and give them detentions. He didn't want to, it seemed like one of the boys deserved what he got, but he knew if he didn't Hermione would lecture him until the sun don't shine.

Even more extremely tired, Ron finally entered Gryffindor tower, not bothering to see if any of his friends were in the common room. He made a beeline for the dorms and hoped they were empty. When he entered his room, he saw that was indeed void of people, and so, he began to take off his uniform, intending on lounging around in some jeans and a t-shirt until dinner.

She gave an impatient huff, wondering why he was questioning her about this and why he couldn't understand that she was perfectly serious about the matter. "Of course I'm sure!" she exclaimed again. "I didn't see the paper for myself, Professor McGonagall wouldn't allow it - you know her rules about that sort of thing, but really, she stood there and told me barely ten minutes ago."

Though she wouldn't exactly say it out loud, she was exceedingly proud of Ron. Harry, too, but Ron especially since he tended to slack off more than Harry usually did. She just hoped he realised that she was proud.

"Oh." He said, realizing she was indeed serious, McGonagall would not have told her he'd gotten perfect if he hadn't. "Well, okay! Brilliant!" He said happily, breaking out in a smile and feeling slightly proud of himself. He'd never gotten perfect before. He'd never even come close but now he knew why Hermione was thrilled.

"It was because of your help, you know. If you hadn't corrected it and helped me along the way I would've failed as usual." It was true too. Hermione had really helped him out on this one.
