Who: Jack & Thomas
What: Jack needs some help with tutoring and Thomas helps.
When: The night they get back
Status: Closed/Complete
Rating: PG

Jack sat down at a table near the front of the library with a groan, dropping the mismatched pile of books and things on the table and relaxed, legs moving to stretch out in front of him as he raised his arms with a groan before dropping them down and beginning to try and get some sort of organization going before Thomas showed up. He hadn't exactly done a lot of homework over the break and what he had done had been minimal because he simply had not gotten it. And so everything he had was in one big pile and he had not clue where anything was.

He worked for a few moments before he settled back after a few moments, his arms moving to cross over his chest. He had everything in order and he was a bit early he knew, but it was better than being late to a study session. He felt bad enough asking for Thomas's time on the first night back from school. But the test was in a few days and nothing was comprehending and so he didn't know what else to do.

He rubbed the back of his head again before moving his hands to rub his face with a sigh. He dropped them after a few moments and relaxed against the back of the chair, tapping his foot absently as he waited for Thomas to arrive.

”Oh, I’m sure love.” Thomas replied, in a tone that highly suggested that he highly doubted that was true. Still, his teasings were pretty harmless, and he knew Jackson wouldn’t read anything he would say negatively. “I’m glad you’re cured now, then.” Thomas smiled, licking his lips once. His heart was beating hard against his ribcage, his lips once against burning from the recent contact. Distantly, he wondered if he was affecting Jackson the same way he was affecting him. From the looks of things, it didn’t seem as if that was the case; he pushed the negative thoughts aside, knowing they would only ruin a beautiful ting. “I have cured plenty of diseases in my time; headaches, cancer, Aids. All those nasty things overruled by the power of The Kiss. I even made a crippled man walk once...” He popped his collar arrogantly, but his act was shattered when a hearty laughed escaped his. All of it was complete bullshit and they both knew it. It was still fun though. When the other briefly closed his arms around his waist caught him slightly off guard. Blanking out for a second, he merely stood there, looking down adoringly at the top of Jack’s head. Before he could even move to return the gesture, the other had pulled away and he was left to only smile and run his fingers affectionately against the other’s cheek. “Thank you for that.” He said, pulling away then to return to his work. “And I’d really wish to refrain from using poultry as an analogy for myself, or any specific parts of my body for that matter. It’s not good for my much-abused-by-Jackson ego. It’s deflating at this very second. And I still think it’s cool. My left hand is basically useless for me. And my sister’s ambidextrous; I’ve always found it quite fascinating.”

“Misunderstood? Perhaps. It was still in fact contaminated. Contamination makes it evil. Ask the old Christians. Anything stripped off of innocence and tainted in any way is considered evil. Which makes me probably next to Satan at this point but oh well.” He shrugged, his lower lip pouting. On top of the constant penetrating gaze that has been stuck on them since they arrived from the lovely librarian, the people around them were already definitely staring at their direction. Two boys openly expressing affections was clearly something people don’t see everyday, and clearly something most do not exactly approve of. Still, Thomas has never been bothered by them. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, so he had no reason to be ashamed in any way. Looking down he continued to work on the last notes, transferred the last bit into a fresh new parchment and was soon finished. He took the new ones and rolled them neatly before handing them to Jackson, a most pleased smile on his features. “I just made your notes. If I was trying to break your heart, I would do something a little less nice.” The hand at the back of his neck was relaxing, and he wished the other wouldn’t stop. “Oh, I’d be most cautious, I promise. Next week.” He pointed his index to his temple for emphasis. “It’s already noted here, sir.”
