Who: Jack & Thomas
What: Jack needs some help with tutoring and Thomas helps.
When: The night they get back
Status: Closed/Complete
Rating: PG

Jack sat down at a table near the front of the library with a groan, dropping the mismatched pile of books and things on the table and relaxed, legs moving to stretch out in front of him as he raised his arms with a groan before dropping them down and beginning to try and get some sort of organization going before Thomas showed up. He hadn't exactly done a lot of homework over the break and what he had done had been minimal because he simply had not gotten it. And so everything he had was in one big pile and he had not clue where anything was.

He worked for a few moments before he settled back after a few moments, his arms moving to cross over his chest. He had everything in order and he was a bit early he knew, but it was better than being late to a study session. He felt bad enough asking for Thomas's time on the first night back from school. But the test was in a few days and nothing was comprehending and so he didn't know what else to do.

He rubbed the back of his head again before moving his hands to rub his face with a sigh. He dropped them after a few moments and relaxed against the back of the chair, tapping his foot absently as he waited for Thomas to arrive.

"Perhaps," Jack said with a nod of his head. "But I doubt it's a deep state of thought along the lines of 'Oh merlin, I'm going to fail out of school' because last time I checked, that was no nice, it was stressful," he said shaking his head and rubbing the back of his head before shrugging. "I watched the Buddha do it once at my grandparent's house on the telly," he said with a chuckle. "I tried and lasted about five minutes before I was jumping around again. Then again I was only about four or five so I think it's understandable," he said chuckling as his bit his lower lip and grinned.

"Well you're also not in danger of failing are you Thomas?" Jack asked raising his eyebrows as he stared at the other man intently for a few moments before chuckling and nodding his head. "Yeah, a couple would be nice, it's just easier this way, one big pile to keep everything in. Less room as well in the trunk," he said with a nod of his head and looked over. "Those would be Quidditch plays," he said with a sheepish grin as he reached over and plucked them out.

"Easily, I don't get it," he said wrinkling his nose. "I'm just not that smart."

A snicker. "I supposed that's true." Thomas agreed with a slight nod of his head. "Buddhas?" his tone then turned reflective. "I've heard of those, but I haven't exactly seen them on the... television right?" he asked, looking up at the other, smiling hopefully. Thank Merlin for Muggle Studies. "Not a surprise, really, considering I've never seen an actual television before either. One that actually worked at least- not the dummy one the professor used for demonstrations." Upon the other's words, his mind suddenly wandered to thought of a little Jack Sloper, running about and wreaking havoc in the general world like all small kids do. "You must be an adorable child." he said suddenly, grinning. "And of course it's understandable. You were in a place where you could still use 'short attention span' as an excuse. Right now, however, I doubt they'll let it slide if you used that form of reasoning right now..."

Thomas held the other's amused gaze before he too broke out in laughter. "I'm not, Jack. And I happen to be highly impartial to using lame excuses for being unorganized." he joked, then Jack suddenly snatched back his Quidditch play scribbles. "Oh drat. That would have been the key for my Team's victory! Can't I have a peek? Just five more seconds I promise!" Tom laughed even more as he tried to get the papers back, before the librarian behind her desk fiercely shushed them. More laughter threatened to escape him then, though he was able to control it with a hand against his lips. "Oh, Bloody Hell." he started at a softer tone, leaning in closer towards his companion, his eyes shining with unhidden amusement. "Why the fuck did I suggest the Library again? You and I can't ever be quiet if we tried."

"Oh hush, that's not true." Thomas said with a click of his tongue. "Self-doubt is not a good color on anyone. You'll learn in no time, I bet." A comforting smile.

"Yeah, there was some special on them way back when," Jack explained before shrugging his shoulders. He nodded his head and smiled slightly. "Yeah, that's the fancy name, telly or TV works just as well," he replied with a chuckle. He was lazy, he knew it and really he did not mind that much when it came down to it. "Never?" he asked with a gasp. "They're like the most amazing thins ever, you can sit down and just relax for hours and you do not have to worry about a thing," he said nodding his head. "Of course most people consider it to be brain rot, but well they're rotten for thinking so," he said before grinning widely and shrugged. "I'll have you know that my attention span has not grown like I have, it's still rather short."

"But it's a good excuse as well," he replied snorting before shrugging his shoulders, looking through the plays easily before shrugging his shoulders. "They're not actually in practice, just things I think," he said. Truth is he'd been kicked of the team, he was good at thinking up plays and Merlin knew he was obsessed with the sport, but he was not the best player in the world and it was safer if he stayed on the ground. "No!" he said mocking anger, which would've been better if he wasn't smiling slightly. He tugged his papers back, not minding getting into a little game of tug and war, that is until he heard the noise and he grinned, pulling them back finally. He bit his bottom lip for a few moments to keep the laugher in before shrugging his shoulders slightly. "Because it was supposed to help us buckle down and study?" he asked tilting his head to the said and raising an eyebrow. "And I can to be quiet, see," he said making a zipping motion with his fingers and hunching over slightly.

"Mate, it's not self-doubt if it's true. I study, I've had tutors, schooling is just not my thing," he said wrinkling his nose. "But thanks," he said with a charming wink as he ran a hand through his hair.

"With the way you're talking about it, it seems as if I'm missing half of my life!" Thomas said, snickering more with Jack's exaggerated gasp. "Is the television truly that great?" He fished out a pack of candy rocks, in his pocket and popped some in his mouth, still listening to Jack as the boy continued. Once he was done, he slid the bag of treats across the table to his companion in offering before picking up another set of papers to browse. He flipped through what seemed to be transfiguration notes then, and began to segregate them on the table, with ones that he deemed Jack couldn't use, and some he could. "Though the prospect of my brain rotting, I have to say, is not an entirely appealing concept..." A laugh. "And you do like doodling don't you?" he continued, noting the scribbles on the sides of some of the pages.

"It is?" Thomas looked up, his eyebrows raising in challenge. "Well, with what I have seen so far, you're good. I could judge them better though if you'd let me see them!" he teased again. The small tug of war they had been fun, and he would have persevered, if only the librarian didn't have a pole up her ass. "It can't and you know it. I'm way too fun. It's contagious, admit it! And yes, you know you like it, Sloper." He stretched on foot and nudged at the other's foot, leaning his arms on the table in front of him. "You cant be quiet with me. You know you can't." A most charming grin.

"Well, I suppose I do understand." The wink the other gave him made him smile, sending small flutters in his stomach. Odd. "You're welcome. I'm here to help you anytime." Jack surely was an attractive guy, but somehow, Thomas figured it shouldn't be a line he should cross...

"Well definitely a quarter of it," he replied automatically before shrugging his shoulders. "Well I only get to see it at my grandparents house so to me it does seem quite amazing, but I suppose if you were a muggle it wouldn't be that bad," he said tapping his chin absently before taking the bag of sweets with a grin. "Thanks mate," he said taking a couple and popping a few in his mouth before sliding them back as he sucked on the small rocks absently as he watched Thomas begin to sort of his papers. Even he didn't know what half of them were, he just saw words and other things that were supposed to make sense but didn't really. "Well it doesn't literally rot your brain, it just doesn't really help it, unless you're watching the history station and then you might learn something," he said before leaning across the table to look at the notes and nodded. "Yep, can't follow what they're going over so I just doodle, I think I have an artist in me yes?"

"Haha, in theory I'm good, practical application not so much. Too big to be a seeker, can't throw worth shit, have no eye hand coordination, only thing I could play is beater and last time I smacked my own team member across the head so we decided against me playing," he explained handing the notes back before shrugging. "Just ideas, I'm not going to show anyone, we're doing well enough," he said proudly sticking his chest out slightly and chuckled. "I suppose that was true, it was a nice thought though," he said nudging Thomas's foot back easily. "Yes Bradly, I do like it," he said with another wink before leaning back against his chair and folding his arms over his chest stubbornly, going to be quiet as long as he could.

"Thanks mate, I really appreciate it," he said nodding his head. And it was something he appreciated, he needed to past the next two years to at least try and get somewhere, but he didn't know where exactly so it was going to be hard choosing which ones he needed to focus on. "So studying, right," he said leaning forward over the table.

"My parents are both magical, so I've never come across a television. Not in any of my cousins' houses, or anyone I'm even remotely related to at all." Thomas replied with a slighting wrinkling of his nose. His gaze absently started to drift from the papers he was browsing in his hands in front of him, over to the boy in front of him. "You're welcome." he said casually, before he found his eyes drawn to the slight movement of Jack's lips when the other popped the rocks in his mouth and started to gently suck on the treat. The flutters on his stomach were ever-present at that moment, even more forceful than before. Sighing, Thomas looked back down and finished piling the papers into separate piles. He realized then that he was getting carried away with his feelings again, and letting such a thing advance might just make it awkward for the professional relationship. Though who can blame him? The boy was interesting, and fun to be with and he had to admit, gorgeous. It was just a crush, maybe. What harm is there in that, when he has no plans on doing anything about it? Nothing. So why fight it, really? When the other asked him, he found himself laughing, and it was a good feeling. "Yes. Very abstract. A true Picasso, I must say."

"Well, Theory is as important as playing the game, you know." Thomas said. "Those motion picture things muggles have? I'm sure you know them. I heard in muggle class that they're nothing without the people who make them behind the... camera." Muggle Studies was really serving him well, Thomas thought, plucking the candy rocks from the table and popping some in his mouth. "The same goes for Quidditch. Without decent plays, we'd all just be big boys on brooms randomly throwing our balls at each other." Graciously, he accepted the Quidditch doodles from the other and took a look at them. He finally realized he was right- the boy was superb. "And I'm right. Not a surprise really, given my superior intelligence." A snicker. "You're excellent." Tom looked up, met the other's steady gaze and smiled. "You should definitely coach a team someday. And you're team might be doing well, but with my team's awesome Keeper..." he reached his hand back behind his neck and popped his collar airily. "... Your team wouldn't stand a chance. I'm not going to let any of the balls get in my hoops. Which by the way, sounds dirty for some reason..." Another laugh, and another warning look from Madame Pince. When he felt the other's feet brush against his own, a slight shiver ran through him, making him feel warm and rather nice. Thomas did it again, experimentally though quicker this time before pulling back completely, the gesture seeming almost as if it was accidental even though it wasn't. The shivers almost doubled, he noted. He disguised this slight surprise with a smile. "I know you do. Now quit acting as if you're refusing to talk unless necessary. Doesn't suit you. And besides, I like hearing your voice, so you'd better not deprive me of it."

"Studying?" Thomas continued, feigning innocence. "What is this 'studying' thing that you speak of?" A teasing smirk.

"Same here, I just have muggle Grandparents," he said with a chuckle listening to Thomas explain. He sucked on the small candy he had been given, rolling it around absently in his mouth, not really paying attention to what he was doing. He watched as Thomas began to separate the notes in piles and he was impressed, his handwriting was less than impressive and he was sure the half-arsed notes he wrote were even worse. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table as he bit down on one of the rocks and winced, it wasn't quite some time. "How are you telling those apart?" he asked shaking his head in disbelief. "It's a sad day when even I can't tell my notes apart," he said shaking his head and rubbing his face and eyes before chuckling. He snorted and shrugged. "Picasso ain't got nothing on me mate," he said puffing out his chest and thumped it. "I'm the next big thing," he said nodding his head. "Didn't you know that? It's all the rage."

"True, and they also use cameras to watch other teams and steal their plays," he replied before leaning over and nodding his head. He watched Thomas read them before he shrugged slightly. "They're not the greatest and it's not that hard. You just take the plays in use and combine a few of them and make a few tweaks, it's not too hard," he explained tapping certain parts of the sheets. He ran a hand through his hair before tapping his chin. "Coaching would be fantastic," he said a little dreamily, a far away look in his eyes before a bit before he snorted in laughter. "That's right, you're the keeper," he said even though he had been well aware of that fact. He made sure to keep up with everyone on the other Quidditch teams so that he knew what to look for. "It does a bit mate," he said nodding his head before chuckling. "Oh yes, you never let balls in, which is why we've won a few times," he said sitting up straight proudly.

"Fine, I'll talk," he replied. "But only because of the compliment, a man can never say no to one of those," he said with a chuckle before tilting his head to the side. "Not a clue, it's a new fad coming in, wanna give it a shot?"

Thomas then had too look away from Jack while the other continued to speak after he caught himself staring at his lips again. It would have been inappropriate- embarrassing, if he was caught and he'd rather not fall into such an unfortunate predicament. He noticed out of the corner of his eyes that Jack had leaned in, and heard the other ask him. "I'm taking out the things I deem unnecessary, like the ones you've written before, the ones you don't truly need, and ones such as THIS." Tom raised one piece of parchment from the 'unwanted' pile that was full of scribbles, but completely void of relative notes. A smile. "Need I say more?" Thomas then took a fresh parchment from his bag and fished his wand from his pocket. "And these.." he indicated the other batch, spreading out before him. "Are the ones you need. I've arranged them too, according to date and relevance." With a slight, almost lazy flick of his wand, the words from the old parchments seemed to sink in the pages before they slowly emerged in the fresh new parchment. Once it was all done, Thomas crumpled the others and handed Jack's brand new, clean Transfiguration notes. "Better, Picasso? Oh, wait. Picasso's bullocks compared to you, yeah, Mr. Sloper?"

"Oh, I'm starting to like cameras." Thomas said, leaning back again and placing his arms back behind his head, grinning. The dreamy look in the other's features while he spoke of coaching was adorable, Tom found. He leaned forward and took another batch of candy rocks in his mouth. "You should do it." he urged. "You know you can do it. And you know you'd love doing it, so why not go for it? And HA HA." Thomas ended sarcastically, his upper lip curling, and aimed a candy rock at Jack's forehead. "I'm awesome. Sod off."

"HAH. I knew you couldn't resist!" Thomas laughed, feeling ever-so-triumphant. "Let's just say I have a way with words. Though it is true. I have grown familiar with your voice." A smile, then a slight chuckle. "Is it? I don't know. Do you reckon we should? I was never one to follow trends... Perhaps we should start our own thing. NOT studying, just to antagonize. What do you think?"

Jack didn’t even notice the odd looks Thomas was giving him as he continued to roll the small candy around in his mouth, now and then sucking on it before swallowing absently before repeating the entire thing again, eyes focused on the motions of the sorting hands. He nodded his head as he turned it, looking at the papers. “Nope, still can’t tell it apart sorry,” he said with a small chuckle. “Aside from the amazing ones of course,” he said tapping the unwanted pile easily. Really it was the only thing important in his mind right now as everything else seemed just a bit futile to him. “Date and relevance?” he said impressed, shifting through the piles, messing them up slightly as he looked to see that yes, everything was in order and he let out a low whistle. “Well colour me impressed,” he said with nod of his head as he shook his fingers. He never really was able to take things in neatly at any point, just wasn’t one of his quirks. His eyebrows raised at the spell and he took the notes almost gingerly. “Well…that’s helpful,” he said looking over them to see if somehow they had started to make sure sense and was a bit disappointed when they hadn’t. “Of course he is Mr. Bradley, I kick everyone’s arse in doodles.”

“Cameras are great as long as you know how to use them,” he said with a snort leaning back as well and crossing his arms over his chest easily. He shrugged his shoulders dropping his chin down onto his chest. “I could, we’ll see,” he said rubbing the back of his neck before he raised and eyebrow when he felt the candy rocks hit his forehead and he shook his eyebrow. “Oi! Don’t throw rocks at the bigger bloke or I’ll throw you into the lake!” he said shaking a finer at the other man.

He grinned and shrugged his shoulders helplessly. “What can I say? You’re irresistible,” he said winking at Thomas and leaning forward with a bit of a cheeky grin. He shrugged his shoulders and tapped his chin, “Well some fads do fade but this one is sticking so I don’t know,” he said with a sigh shaking his head. “I don’t think we’ll be able to mate, we just can’t stay on topic.”

It was almost painful watching the slight movement of the other's mouth, that Thomas had to look away. Again. Somehow even after he forced his eyes to avert from the other, it would soon crawl back to Jack and he'd again find himself mesmerized. How can one possibly converse without looking at the other's face? he wondered, and knew if he figures out what the answer was to his question, he'd immediately follow it. At the moment, he was coming out blank though, and he had to look into the other's eyes without making it too obvious how much the other was affecting him. "Yes, date and relevance. I take this course, too you know." A smile grew on his features at the other's compliment, and he could feel a slight wamrth on his cheeks. Being organized just came so easy for him. "it should start to make sense once we go over the ones on top before we proceed to the rest below. Baby steps, love." he said, crossing his arms now, then pushing the chair back so he could balance his weight on its hind legs. "Of course."

"I've only had experience with my father's old magical one. And only once. Do you know how to use that camera you're talking about? And do you happen to have one lying about?" He said, a slight flicker of interest in his eyes. then a alugh at the empty threat. "Don't let the built fool you, Oh Great One." he said, flexing his arms, letting them trace over the material of his shirt. "Pure stone. You can try though, doubt you will succeed."

You're irresistible. Before the comment and the winnk could even have its effects on him, Thomas came up with an easy comeback. "I know I am. You can't fight it." he said before he took another pile and started to sort them. "You can relax for now while I sort your notes. And given that I'm an amazing multi-tasker, you can still talk to me." he started. "We'll start tomorrow, once you're lectures are organized. Trust me, it will be easier for us both." A smile.

Jack bit down again and grinned when he heard the crack and suddenly the rock split into smaller pieces and he began to chew on them, grinding them slightly and probably making a lot of noise from the way the librarian was looking at him, but quite frankly he didn't care because they were good. "What are these?" he asked nodding his chin towards the bag. It was so like Jack to just take something without asking anything about it so trusting. "Are you in my class?" he asked beginning to feel horrible that he had completely missed the other man for this entire time. He nodded his head and sighed. "So we're redoing everything?" he asked shaking his head slightly. "You're trying to kill me aren't you," he said sounding sure. "Careful, don't want my tutor to fall," he said looking at Thomas leaning back on his chair.

Jack shook his head. "Not a fucking clue," he said perhaps a bit loudly as he got both a 'shh' and a reproaching look from the librarian and he ducked his head slightly. "And nope again," he said laughing softly at himself as he hid his mouth behind his hand so he wouldn't get yelled at. He raised an eyebrow and reached over, squeezing Thomas's arm and nodding his head. "Stronger than you look I suppose," he said nodding his head. "Fact of the matter is, I'm still bigger than you," he said puffing out his chest again.

"I really can't and I shouldn't," Jack said completely unaware of whatever effect he might be having as he shrugged his shoulders and leaned back, hooking his arms on the back of the chair. "You're still sorting? I didn't know I had that many notes," he said sheepishly as he grimaced. "Fine, more studying," he said smiling back.

The cracking sounds Jack was causing made him smile. When Thomas turned around, his smile grew into a cheeky grin after seeing the librarian's furious expression and the almost feral glare she directed at the two of them. Turning back to his companion, he raised a teasing brow. "Can you chew a bit louder?" he asked Jack, once again nudging the other's foot. "And those are candy rocks." Tom explained, taking the packet to read the contents printed at the back. "Merlin's gift to mankind. Full of sugar and love." When the other inquired about their classes, he almost snickered at the look of concern that passed the other's features. "No, I don't so you don't have to worry. We take our classes with Slytherin. And no, we're not redoing everything. I'm sure you know them. A 'recap' is what we're calling it." Even though the other's warning about him falling was so casual, Thomas felt the butterflies at it again. "I'm not going to fall, don't worry." he reassured him witha soft smile.

"Drat." he said with a slight pout to his lips. His eyes gre a fraction however, when he followed the other's hand as it reached towards him to touch his arm. Melting slightly, Tom stopped for a second, looked up the other's eyes, before smirking. "I am, so you shouldn't underestimate me, despite your built." his own hand closed over the other's wrist. "We could put that to the test, but we're studying aren't we?" With that he slowly pulled away and settled comfortably back his chair, his arm feeling as if it burned from the other's touch.

"Well, of course there's going to be more studying, Jack." Thomas said as he sorted. "I'm giving you the liberty of slacking off right nown though. I suggest you make the most out of it..."

Jack grinned. "Of course I can, but I think she'll box my ears if I do," he said chuckling slightly and nodding his head, reaching for another one. "They're good," he said nodding his head as he began to suck and roll it around in his mouth again. "I prefer sugar quills though, they're fun to suck on in class," he said nodding his head before chuckling. "Love is good, especially in candy," he said nodding his head before making a sound of relief. "Good, I thought I was completely forgetting you were in my class or something," he said rubbing the back of his head. "Good, I don't think my brain could take it, recap is bad enough," he said dropping his hand onto his chin and raised an eyebrow. "They all say that and then boom. If you fall, I'm carrying you Princess style you know," he said nodding his head. "And if I could I'd put you in a skirt so it'd be even worse."

"You're skinny, I'm solid," Jack replied nodding his head. "I could take you any time," he said reaching over to poke Thomas in the side. "Of course you might be one of those skinny people that can wrap themselves into knots so who knows?" he said shrugging his shoulders before rolling his eyes. "Yes, this is studying alright," he said shaking his head.

"True," he said leaning forward and resting his head on his arms. "Hmm, nap or bug you," he said tapping his chin absently.

"Oh she'll probably inflict more damage to you if you continue to eat like that." Thomas lightly snickered, placing his fingers over his mouth as his attempt to stop himself from laughing out loud. He could still almost see Jack's lips moving in his periphery though, of course, he couldn't look up to look at him. The boy's comment on sucking sugar quills didn't help matter either. Thomas mentally noted that he should probably stop reading those trashy dirty novels his sister sends him. "Love is good. Period. And if you forget me in class I'd be pretty pissed at you, Sloper." he said, then reaching out to toss a candy rock at Jack again, though missing his face this time, hitting his neck and having the candy rock disappear inside his shirt. "SCORE." Thomas said suddenly raising one arm in triumph before stopping and closing his eyes, almost as if he was expecting the librarian to suddenly toss a book at his head for this slip-up. thankfully he only received a fierce 'SHHH, MR THOMAS. and nothing else...

Thomas then leaned his elbows on the table, having the decency to blushat his outburst. Just then, Jack's words caught his attention. "Oh I'm not going to fall. Trust me. But if I did, I find it comforting that you've offered to carry me Princess style to my dorms. And what's wrogn with a skirt, really?" he teased. "AND I'm SLIM. Not skinny. And I'm pretty solid too for a person my size. You could try to take me anytime but- Hey OW!" He jumped, fixing his accusing gaze at the other when Jack poked at his side. a naughty smirk crawled up his features at the other's next comments. "I'm pretty flexible, love. I wont tell you what exxacty I can do, but I'm telling you I am..." His gaze then lingered from him to his work, fixing his notes.

"Oh. Please bug me." Thomas said, nudging the other's foot again. "And I'm serious, too. I know this might sound weird but I can't work without something else happening." he laughed then. "Like when I talk to someone, I'll suddenly start to doodle; and I need music so I can study and still pay attention to every detail. I don't know why, but that works for me..."

"Maybe," Jack replied coyly before shrugging his shoulders as he cracked down again, only this time wincing when it instead of cracking it he hurt his teeth. "Oww," he said raising a hand to rub at the corner of his jaw and shook his head, settling in to suck on it instead of chewing on it like he usually did. "Especially the love of a candy, they treat you so well," he said with a chuckle before pouting. "No you wouldn't," he said looking sad at the point before raising his hands to try to deflect the candy and instead felt he go down his shirt and he sighed. "No look what you've done," he said pushing back so he could pull his shirt out of his pants and up a bit so he could grab the small piece of rock. "Open up," he said dropping his shirt as he held out the rock. "You threw it, it's yours now," he said grinning at the other boy. "Come on," he cooed slightly, pressing the small rock near to Thomas's lips.

"You'd look cute in a skirt, chicken legs and all," he said with a beaming teasing grin as he winked and shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing, on a girl of course," he said wondering if that was a bit mean and hoped it wasn't. He rolled a shoulder and looked at Thomas, running his eyes from top to bottom. "You're not that bad, still not as solid as I am though," he said raising an arm and flexing, before poking at his bicep. "See, feel," he offered, moving his arm closer to the other man before he blinked at Thomas's words and chuckled. "Well that is something I'll keep in mind for later," he said winking at the other man. "Although I am intrigued right now, but I'll let you have your secrets."

Jack nudged his foot back as he leaned against the table and reached over, poking Thomas's hand. "I'm going to call you Thom alright? Thomas is too old and stuffy," he said with a grin, dropping his head to rest in his arms. "Well I'm the doodler here so we can't allow that," he winked at the other man before shrugging. "It's fine, I can talk your ear off it you'd like. This might be the best study session ever."

Thomas laugh and leane dback as far as he could on his chair, so he coult avoid the already tainted candy the other was trying to get him to eat. "Ew. Cooties. Get away!" he laughed, almost giggled as he pushed at the other's hand, though enjoyed having an excuse to touch the other. "It's been in your shirt. That alone has already defiled the essence of the candy. That should be burned!"

"CHICKEN LEGS?" He huffed, indignant. "My legs are pretty awesome. I'd let you see it, but to do that, I'd have to shed my trousers. It's too cold." Tom stuck out his tongue stubbornly at Jack, his feet moving against the others "accidentally" under the table. He didn't even take any of his commentws into offense; he was far too outgoing to be really insulted by anyone. "I bet I can pull of a skirt better than any woman can." The other's next teasing words almost made him laugh, and distantly, how could the other not know how much his winks were affecting him? Or perhaps the other knew it too well that he's using it his advantage? No. He doubted the latter. He replied with a teasing "You should." however, before returning to his texts, and pretending to be busy. "I'm sure you're already dying to know my secrets. I can let you in on some of them...t the right price of course." a smirk. "Bribery can get anyone everywhere, you know."

The fact the other had insisted on calling him by a name of his choice was most flattering. "Thom?" he asked, his eyebrows drawing together as he transferred the old notes to a new piece of parchment like he did before. The slight contact of the other's fingers against his sent amazing sensations in his stomach, too. Subtley, he lifted the his index to brush against the other's hand, lightly tangling their fingers. His movements were barely forward, and his eyes were not set on Jack, giving the impression that his movements were casual, when it truth they weren't really; he wanted to see if the other would find what he did at all appropriate. If the other did and responded, he'd be most pleased, if not, he could just pretend it was nothing to him. "Why not stick with Tom? AND NO I'M NOT OLD AND STUFFY THANK YOU, JACK." He placed the old notes in a pile once again for later disposal, before moving on to the next course. "That sounds like a good offer actually. And of course, it is. You're with me. I'm like fun on legs!"

"Come on, it's not that bad!" Jack insisted rolling the small ball between his fingers. "Well if you don't want this then I'll have to kiss you and then you'll definitely get cooties," he said with a smirk, completely unaware of what he might be doing to Thomas. "And no burning, it's not damaged yet."

"It's not that cold and I'd ask for proof but the librarian is hanging on by a thread I think and I don't want to get kicked out," he siad shaking his head, feeling the foot brush against his own and knocking back slightly. "Well that's a pretty big statement, might need to be ready to back that one up darling," Jack replied before grinning, chewing on the side of his lip in an absent manner as he watched Thomas before shrugging and leaning forward. "Well, I've been told I can be pretty persuasive when I need to be. So I think the question now is what do you want?" he asked tilting his head to the side and fixing Thomas with an intense glare. "Name it and it could be yours," he said opening up the door as wide as he would, wondering what Thomas would ask for.

"Yes, Thom," he said nodding his head as he watched Thomas began to transfer the notes and he felt the fingers curl around his own and grinned, figuring they were just having a bit of fun as he twisted his hand slightly, curling their fingers together as he rubbed his fingers over the back of Thomas's hand. He shifted a bit after a moment, moving his other hand to begin to dance over his hand and wrist absently, teasing hi unintentionally. "Because anyone can call you Tom, I get to call you Thom," he pointed out with a nod of his head. "And I didn't say you were stuffy, I said your name was. And it's still better than Jackson anyway," he said with a chuckle.

"Well that is one way of looking at it, fun on chicken legs that would look good in a skirt," he pointed out. "So what do you want to talk about?"

"NO." Thomas pushed at his hand again, though like before, he was hardly struggling. "In fact it's so bad that the mere contact with that infected candy to my lips would leave me paralyzed, then cause me to fall into a coma." The kiss comment almost made him fall over his chair, but he disguised his sudden nervousness with a laugh. "Oh, you wouldn't dare." he said, even though secretly he wished he'd get the cooties. Lots and lot of them. "And yes. That's evil candy now. No love can ever come from it. So it needs to be burned."

Thomas made a sarcastic "pffft" noise. "I'm not too partial to walking about without any trousers in the library, thank you." he started, shaking his head slightly. "And my big statements are always backed up, love. It all depends on how you're going to get me to show them to you." He stole a glance at the other, his eyes immediately landing on his lips; he watched the way the other slowly worried his lower lips between his teeth before looking back down on his 'work', feeling the room temperature suddenly increase. His hands movements stopped however, at the other's next statements, causing a slow smile to form in his lips. "Oh, you should be careful what you ask of me, dear Jack." he laughed, looking up and realizing the other had leaned forward and had fixed this intense gaze on his direction. Seconds after, he did the same, leaving their faces closer that they ever were. Jack didn't seem to mind all this harmless flirting, it he shouldn't as well. It doesn't mean he couldn't have a little fun, yes? "It could be mine? Well, the lack of an assurance is an unappealing concept, love. Come on you can do better than that. Make me an an offer I can't possibly refuse." His moist pink tongue darted out to brush against his dry lips, his eyes not leaving the other's. "I sure would love to tell you the things I want from you now. But sadly, we're in a public place. I'd like to keep it PG so, I'm going for... a pony. Can you handle that?"

"Thom." Thomas repeated, trying to see how the name rolled of smoothly on his tongue. In fact the name sounded better when Jack said it, and he'd ask the other to say it again if only it wouldn't be too odd a request. "Fine." he said, waving a dismissive hand. "Call me Thom. But do I get to call you anything, Jackson? Jackson. Yeah, I like Jackson." The fact that the other had chosen to respond to his teasings, then even took his hand in his felt divine. Tom didn't move to protest, merely keeping himself seemingly too occupied to notice much what was happening between them eventhough he would be gravely disappointed if the othe rpulled away. He moved his fingers over Jack's, brushing them lightly over the other's skin, every touch sending pleasurable sensations up his arm. He could go on doing this for a while- well, for as long as Jack permits the gesture, of course. "Jackson's a suitable name for you. I'm not even kidding. I'd call you that, if it doesn't make you too uncomfortable..."

"And HAHAHA NO. Bastard." Thomas said, playfully tugging at his hand. He fixed him with a harmless glare, before continuing with sorting the other's notes. It was much tougher with having his other hand busy playing with Jack's but he'd rather endure than let go. "Anything that doesn't involve my legs apparently. The topic has now become too sensitive thanks to you. You know what? I might just have to one day walk into your class in a skirt to prove you wrong about the way you have been insulting my legs..." This statement alone had summoned plenty of dirty mental images; now, it was becoming too hard to pull off a straight face...

"A kiss it is then," Jack said with a sigh, popping the candy into his own mouth and the moved quickly, planting a quick kiss onto Thomas's lips before sitting back down with a cheeky grin. "And now you're infected," he said shaking his head sadly. "Oh Thom Thomas Thom, I knew you well, died at a young age of a cootie infection," he said pressing a hand against his heart and making a sighing sound. "And besides, the candy is good so shush," he said shaking his head as he continued to roll it around in his mouth. It didn't taste any different really, just warmer from being held between his fingers and really that is not that bad.

"Well then maybe some other time we can get you out of your trousers?" Jack said innocently, even though he knew that time what he was saying was not perhaps the most appropriate thing to say. "Well I've got lots of ways of getting you to show me darling," he said nodding his head surely. "All you've got to do is tell me what you want," he repeated from before. He chuckled and shrugged his shoulder. "I can take whatever you want to hand out," he shot back before shrugging his shoulders, not moving back from the instead stare, if anything he shifted a little bit forward instead. "How about it can be yours?" he said instead. He was perhaps a bit dense at the moment, not noticing anything, especially not the way that he was perhaps making Thomas feel, but he was enjoying himself, flirting slightly with someone who could flirt back just as well and he liked it. He noticed the tongue and he couldn't help it as he licked his own back and shrugged his shoulders. "Write a list and we'll go through it, how about that?" he asked before shrugging. "I don't know, what sort of pony do you want?" he asked as he scooted his chair closer.

"Yes, Thom," Jack repeated easily, before he wrinkled his nose and sighed. "Fine, even though Jackson is followed by Michael and we all know who my parents were thinking of when they made that name," he said shaking his head slightly. He didn't mind his full name actually, people just usually tended to shorten it to Jack for some reason. He moved his other hand, joining it with the other as he began to explore Thomas's hand and wrist, running fingers over the skin gently, feeling the bones and the pulse beneath his fingers. He shrugged a shoulder when Thomas's spoke but didn't look up. "You can if you want," he said with a smile. "I don't mind," he said. "Why do you think it's suitable?" he asked looking up finally, interested in what he had to say about that.

"Well now, I would like to see that," he said looking up as he tugged Thomas's hand back slightly, fingers separating so he could trace fingers over his palm absently, running over the lines there. "I might have to give you a reward if you did that," he said nodding his head as he ran fingers along the inside of Thomas's arm up to the crook of his elbow and back down again just as gently.

The kiss was definitely unexpected, and the surprise that Thomas felt openly refelcted on his features for a lasting second. Jack's lips, even though the contact was acute, were soft and warm and he felt most disappointed indeed when the other pulled away. Perhaps cooties weren't that bad after all. He recovered fairly quickly however and pretended to be disgusted, fiercely wiping his lips with the back of his sleeve. "Oh, Merlin. I'm infected!" he cried melodramatically. "Woe. My life just flashed before my eyes!" Tom closed his eyes, placing his hands over them and suddenly grinned. "And it's like a very long episode of wizard porn. I think I'm going to watch this for a bit. Ok. Maybe later. You're here. I wouldn't want you watching me... " he laughed, opening his eyes again, only to witness the other popping the infected candy in his mouth. Visibly cringing, he made a face at the other, mocking him. "How unsanitary! No I say you should be burned! The evil has spread in your system!" He fished a lighted from his breastpocket and moved as if to ignite the other, even though of wont do such a thing. Merlin knows what Madam Pomfrey would do to his balls if he even dared to have open flame near her precious books.

"Oh, you'd want that wouldn't you?" Thomas teasingly winked; it was too obvious Jackson was innocently teasing. It was just a bit disappointing that they couldn't take it any further. Still theh hand playing with his felt most comforting, a welcomed and pleasant sensation he couldn't get enough of. "Oh really now?" he asked, laughing, his eyes smiling with his lips, and not missing the fact that the other had moved closer. Too hot, the room was getting too hot. One hand reached up to loosen his clue and broze tie, all while his eyes remained unwavering against the other's. "It can be mine? Now there we go." Thomas delicately plucked the quill from the table and moved the soft fathery end over his jaw down to his chin while he allowed his thoughts to wander. "A list would be a good idea, yes, though I believe I'd need time to put it together." he said simply, eventhough there was one things that stood out in his brain that he would like to ask from Jackson. Again. "But my pony is definitely on top of that list. I want a beautiful black one. Tall and majestic... unless you'd rather I name a certain kind of pony if you want to be technical about this, in which case I'd say I have no fucking clue what they are. Go randomly pick one I suppose."

It had been a while since he had ever flirted, or even had much pleasant human interaction at all; it felt amazing how he could smile and laugh again. "Jackson Michael. that sounds oddly familiar, though I wouldn't know who Jackson Michael is." Of course, he wouldn't know who the icon was given that he was born and raised in the wizarding world, and had not had much experiences with Muggle culture. "I don't have a problem with your name. So, yes, Jackson. From now on you'd be Jackson for me." The butterflies are all acting up in his stomach, but the feelings they were giving him were good ones, ones that leave him weak in the knees in a good way. He moved his fingers to brush lightly over Jack's skin, tracing lazy hot circles over the smooth flesh with his index, while the other busied himself with touching him- over the back of his hand, then unexpectedly up his arm, making him shiver. Oh, the boy was good. His wand was still grasped in one hand, though he has long stopped 'working'. "I don't know why it's suitable. It just is. I figure it's perhaps because I can't think of any other name that can suit you?"

Thomas was thankful when the other pulled his hand when he tried to pull it back. It meant the other enjoyed the contact as much as he did and it was a most pleasing thought. His eyes averted down to their joined hands, and he merely watched for a minute how Jackson's hands moved over his palm, how they delicately traced the lines drawn on his flesh. Every brush of the other's skin against his was electrifying and wave after wave of pleasurable sensations wracked his body. "Now, that's a tempting offer." he answered, to suddenly distract himself. "What would that reward be, I wonder..." Boy, this was torture. Gripping his wand tighter, he continued with his work- at least tried to. "Any preferences for A-line skirts, or mini skirts? Or the fabric. Leather, cotton?" he asked, a smirk crawling his face. "I was born to please. Especially when I am promised a reward for any of my efforts. Because I didn't just make myself sound like a whore just now. Merlin." A laugh

Jack didn’t notice anything odd happening coming from Thomas, but he did know that he liked the kiss, but he wouldn’t say anything, not wanting to get into a debate over all of this. Instead he merely beamed at the other man, hiding his feelings behind a smile and a cheeky wink. He chuckled at Thomas’s actions and shook his head. “You’re hurting my feelings!” he sad pouting as he made a little sniffling sound at that before raising an eyebrow and leaning forward slightly. “Oh really?” he asked sounding interested, which he was a bit of. “What exactly do you see then?” he asked tilting his head to the side as he chewed on his bottom lip again. “And maybe I like to watch,” he said a moment later. Two people could play at that game easily, before shrugging a shoulder. “My skin is probably cleaner than my hands because my hands touch things all the time,” he pointed out as he swallowed the small rock. “See, all happy down, you can even do a cleaning charm on my mouth if you’d like,” he offered nodding his head as he stuck his tongue out at the other man. “And why do you have a lighter?”

“I would want that actually,” he said only half joking as he fixed Thomas with an intense stare, raising an eyebrow. He was perhaps being a bit forward by now, and he really didn’t want to cause the other boy any sort of discomfort, but he couldn’t help it. Thomas looked cute like that and he liked the teasing. “I want to see your chicken legs in all their chickeny glory,” he said managing to keep a straight face as his eyes followed the line of the feather across the other man’s jaw. “You can have a week, how does that sound?” he asked tilting his head to the side slightly as he did it. “An Arabian then?” he asked even though he had no idea what sort of horse that was. All he knew was that it was a type, he didn’t really like the animals that much. They scared him a bit.

“Actually it’s Michael Jackson and it’s a muggle singer, he’s kind of creepy,” he said shaking his head as he shuddered. He didn’t mind the music, but the man always creeped him out, but his parents loved him so they had given him his name. “Jackson it is then,” he replied shrugging his shoulders. “So now instead of Thomas and Jack we’re Thom and Jackson,” he said with a chuckle, shaking his head slightly. He liked the feeling of the soft skin rubbing against his own and he smiled softly as he repeated the up and down motion before leaning down and pressing his lips at the center of Thomas’s palm in an almost kiss as he looked up before he blew a raspberry onto his palm and pulled away, blowing air onto the skin. “Just for you doll,” he said before twisting his hand and curling their fingers together once more and leaned back, stopping with the exploration for now.

“Oh I can think of lots of ways to reward you, especially if I’m allowed to be creative,” he said nodding his head as he chuckled slightly winking at Thomas with a devious smile. He made a small sound in the back of his throat and shrugged his shoulders absently. “I don’t know, mini skirt sounds appealing,” he said tapping his chin. “Or you could just steal one of the girls school uniform,” he pointed out before sighing. “Are you going to shave and wear stockings?” he asked tilting his head to the side before making a small noise. “Born to please hmm? Well now, that could be taken the wrong way if you’re not careful.”

Thomas' lips still burned from the recent contact with Jackson's lips, but he tried his best to not let his emotions reflect so openly on his features. Jack did have the most stunning smile, however, he noted candidly. It was the sort that could render him incoherent at the first glance, and again the butterflies fluttering in his stomach fiercely grew in number. He stuck his tongue out stubbornly at the other's teasings, though a smile was tugging at the corners of his lips. "I AM NOT hurting your feelings, MR. MELODRAMATIC." he declared. "and why should I tell you what I am seeing? Of course you can't watch. These images are strictly for people with chicken legs." he said with mockign scowl. "I'm afraid you do not qualify. And do I need to mention that we do not really need to discuss where your hands have been today, Jackson?" Thomas said, actually liking the way his name smoothly rolled out of his tongue. He couldn definitely get used to saying his name like that. "Well, I don't want my Jackson to die, so come here and let me disinfect you." he proclaimed, gesturing for the other to come closer, not realizing he had said 'my' while referring to him. "And I'm a smoker. We're required to bring these sort of contraptions around, else we'd just wither away unattractively."

A small laugh was given, even though Thomas really wouldn't mind shedding more than just his trousers for the other. He would never tell hikm that of course. "Well, there are just some things you cant have once you wished for them. My chicken legs can't bee seen for free you know. Not even for you." He retorted smoothly. "You have to work hard sometimes you know. Pull a muscle or two." Tom continued, matter-of-factly. In truth, he was very used to aggressive flirtation, so nothing Jack can say right now could ever offend him. He;s used to too much discrimination, he's learned to numb himself from plenty of things. "A week is good I suppose. And I don't know what an Arabian is, but if it's beautiful, I'm game." a light chuckle.

"I've never heard of him, to be honest. Why do you say he's creepy?" Thomas asked with open curiosity, tossing a few papers on the rubbish pile before lightly placving the new notes on another, cleaner pile. "Yes. I kind of like our new names." He took the last pile and started sorting. "But Jackson and Thom sounds like a candy company... or a comedy act." His eyes might have been down, but his eyes followed the progression of the other's fingers up his arm, before they trailed back down, leaving hot trails on his skin. Then he found Jackson raising his hand to his lips and placing an almost-kiss the center of his palm. He was in the middle of pretending to be sorting at that point, but he stopped to look up immediately. Every part of him burned bright and tingled, even when the other pulled away, but he was at lest thankful that the other had not completely cut all contact. The feeling of his hand in his was most comforting. Thomas smiled rather sheepishly, lightly tugged at the other's hand before he offered the other a small nod. "Thanks, love." he said, before continuing with his work. He couldn't seem to stop smiling after that.

"AH, well. I'll have you know creativity is most encouraged here." Thomas stated, almost giggled when the other winked at him but was thankfully able to stop himself. "Do tell what those plans are. And miniskirt it is then, if you're into them." The other's next inquiry was most odd, though it wasn't as if it was the first weird remark both of them had made that day.In fact, Thomas wagered nothing much can surprise him at that point. "No. I'm goign Au Naturale, thank you. You don't shave off a skunk; it'll ruin its natural musk." He did not know what the hell that meant but it was funny, at least. "And you heard me right. Take that phrase in every context, and I can all of those are still acurate when applied to me."

Jack stuck out his tongue back at the other man and crossed his eyes before taking his face back to how it had been before with a smirk. “I’ll have you know that I am not melodramatic and I was deeply wounded, it’ll probably scar as well,” he said shaking his head as he looked over his arms as if he was expecting to see physical evidence of it. “And you’d tell me because I’d ask nicely because I like your chicken legs?” he asked looking at Thomas with puppy eyes before smirking and looking at his hands as he shrugged his shoulders. “We’ll they’ve been a lot of places really,” he said noddig his head. “Some of them were fun, and some not so much,” he said in the tone of voice that could be referring to anything. He noticed the use of my but didn’t read anything into it as he grinned and moved quickly again, getting out of his seat and moving to perch on the inch or so of seat that Thomas had left. “Yes Thom?” he asked turning his head as he braced his leg against the floor and wrapped an arm around the other man’s shoulders. “Well no smoking in the library,” he said shrugging his shoulders not really minding either way.

“Not even for poor old me?” he asked moving his head closer to Thomas’s as he raised an eyebrow, smiling slightly. “Please? I’ll show you mine if you show me yours,” he offered with a raised eyebrow. He moved a hand to ruffle the back of Thomas’s hair gently before moving his hand back to wrap around the other boy’s shoulders, holding him close, and helping to balance him as well. “A week is more than enough I think,” he said nodding his head before shrugging. “A type of horse, I dunno much about them.”

“He just is, his music is good and all, he just sort of gives me the heeby jeebes,” Jack said with a shudder. He watched as Thomas continued to work before moving. “My butt hurts,” he said ruffling the back of Thomas’s head and moving back to his own seat and shrugging. “I don’t know, would we make a good comedy act? I’m sure we’d make a good candy, I’m very sweet you know,” he said grinning widly at the other man before he shrugged his shoulders. He squeezed Thomas’s hand absently as he tugged the hand back slightly before nodding his head. “Not a problem babe,” he replied figuring if Thomas could use a term of endearment then so could he.

“Well then, I can think of a few interesting and creative ways of persuade you,” he said leaning forward, keeping his voice low. He bit his lip and grinned, looking around him before shrugging his shoulders. “I don’t know, what’s your opinion on whipped cream?” he asked tilting his head to the side. “Because if I get to see you in a mini skirt, well….” He said trailing off and shrugging a shoulder. “I’ve been told I make a mean Banana Split,” he said before gasping. “Oh really? Well it will keep you warm no doubt, don’t have much fat on those chicken legs,” he said nodding his head absently as he did so. He snorted before laughed at that statement. “Darling, that made no sense, regardless of context, all it made me think of was you admitting that you smell badly, which, as far as I’m concerned you’re not. You smell good.”

Jackson's funny faces were endlessly adorable. So endearing in fact, that Thomas just had to reach over and lightly pinch his nose. They were in the mood to be silly anyway, and he figured they were entitled to stretch their limits. "Right. You're not. Your heart is as cold and numb as ice." was Thom's sarcastic reply at the other's proclamation. Laughing a bit, he watched as the other checked his arms for visible scars from his verbal lashings. "Now, that's just ridiculous." he rolled his eyes. "And I'm not even going to try and justify my legs anymore. Go and continue believing they resemble a chicken's. I still say mine are slightly more... developed." When the other spoke about where his hands had been- how some of the places they've been were more pleasant than others- Thomas could almost feel his bones melting inside his body. At least that was what it felt like, as his fingers continued to absently move against Jackson's on the table. "I probably should complain. I'm holding your hand right now and I still have no idea where it’s been." Still, he wouldn't. He was not the biggest fan of holding hands, but the thought of stopping now felt wrong. Why would he deprive himself of this, really? Suddenly looking up, he watched, curious, when the other once again stood and moved to sit beside him on the chair. Scooting just a tad to leave more space for Jackson, he took hold of the hand the other placed on his shoulder to support the other, purely out of instinct and turned his head to face Jackson, leaving their faces closer than he had expected. He had almost forgotten why the other had moved towards him in the first place. Summoning his wand, he lightly tapped the wooden tip to the other’s lips playfully. “And now you’re cured.” He stated, smiling contentedly even though he had not performed any spell on the other. “And I’m not dumb enough to smoke where there’s a livid near-bursting librarian within a five meter radius. I apparently have yet settled on a death wish.”

“Jackson. You’re neither poor nor old.” Thomas said, laughing. “So I have no sympathy for you. ” The more slender boy started to continue with sorting the parchments laid out before him and allowed himself to revel at the feeling of having the other close, the other’s hands at the back on his head doing so many amazing things. He did however stop at the other’s tempting offer of reciprocation. “Tempting but no. That would have been too easy for you why would I want that?” Thom teased, a smirk forming at the corner of his lips. Jackson was satisfyingly warm- his presence most comforting; Tom truly wished the other would stay where he was, with his body aligned with his, the other’s strong chest pressing against his side. “I’ll owl you by next week for my list. And Arabian sounds rather nice. We could research on them, given that we are in the bloody library, but alas, I am too lazy to get up.”

A small laugh. “Well, I’d rather not get scared senseless from Mr. Jackson, so I will refrain from further inquiry. ” He wrinkled his nose, as his head moved back and forth from the parchments on the table. Just then, Jack had to say his butt was painful. Thomas couldn’t just possibly let that comment slide. “I could massage it for you?” he offered generously, without looking up. He direly wanted to laugh out loud, though the restrictions of the library were preventing him to do so, as they have for the past hour or so. “And well, I’m hilarious, I don’t know about you. “ Another quiet snicker, before he looked up, an almost devious glint in his eyes, his eyes tightening against the other’s teasingly. “Oh you are, are you? Would you let me have a taste if I asked?”

Working was almost completely out of the picture now. It wasn’t a true shocker really. With the sort of talk the two were having, concentration was a definite impossibility. “Whipped cream? Well, one can do such wonders with them, I believe." His fingers continued to move against Jackson’s on the table, his eyes never leaving the other’s.

Thomas wasn’t able to hold in his laughter at the other’s next comment. “Banana splits are most satisfying, tru. Though dare I ask what sort of banana are we talking about here?” Again, with the leg jokes. Thom thought darkly, rolling his eyes, moving to sit back slightly on the chair, all without pulling his hand away from Jack’s. “My fur is most beneficial at winter time, thank you. And I was referring to ‘I was born to please’ when I had suggested that you take that in every context. And you don’t smell too bad yourself, Mr. Melodramatic.” Thomas actually makes it a point to avoid any malodorous smells, especially on himself at all costs. His nose was pretty sensitive to these things. Still, he has noticed that Jack smelled quite pleasant too, still he wasn’t quite sure. He hoped a chance to get close enough t o the other again would present itself, so he could find out for sure...

He wrinkled his nose from where Thom pinched it and rolled his eyes slightly. He was enjoying himself, a lot more than he had thought that he would during a study session. Of course there wasn’t much studying so that could account for it not really being as boring as he had thought it would be. “My heart it, I can feel the chill spreading out across my limbs and soon I will be paralyzed unless I have a kiss from my true love,” he said dramatically, pressing a hand against his heart and the back of his other hand against his forehead as he slumped back against the chair. “So the question is, do you know anyone who needs a try love?” he asked opening one eye to look at Thomas with a smirk. “Alright, developed chicken legs it is, just be glad it’s just not your thighs otherwise I might be hungry,” he pointed out with a raised eyebrow before he shrugged his shoulders. “Well that hand is clean,” Jack said with a smirk. “As I like to use my left more than my right, even though I’m right handed,” he said nodding his head firmly. “It’s a bit weird yes, but one of my many many wonderful quirks,” he said pressing a hand against his chest proudly as he tugged at Thomas’s hand gently still running fingers over it easily.

HE felt Thomas scoot to the side and he shifted as well. “Ta mate,” he said hugging Thomas a little bit with one arm as he grinned at the other man. The two of them were close and it was interesting for Jackson to notice that if he tilted his head to the side about an inch and leaned forward about two then he would be able to kiss Thomas without any trouble. But he refrained, not wanting to test that theory. “I’m glad, I was beginning to feel a bit under the weather,” he said nodding his head before he smirked. “Good, I don’t want o go down in literal flames,” he said with a chuckle. “I am both and you’d better have sympathy,” Jack replied watching as Thomas began to sort through the papers as he began to absently run fingers through the hair at the back of Thomas’s head, gently. “Next week sounds good.”

“That’s the smart idea mate,” Jackson replied nodding his head. He grinned at Thomas next. “Would you mind?” he asked tilting his head to the side. “It would probably help,” he said with a chuckle. He was perhaps only half joking as he shrugged a shoulder, wanting to know if the other man would, and why he would at the same time. “I like to think I’m funny,” he replied before holding out a hand. “Here you go, go for it,” he said. “And the type of banana you get from a fruit bowl of course,” Jack said winking at Thomas. “I can’t think of any other kind,” he said tapping his chin absently.

“Oh that is good, can I ask what ways you can please people?” he asked chewing his bottom lip before grinning deviously. “Because I’m always looking for ways to add to my repertoire,” he continued leaning forward slightly as he rubbed his thumb along the back of Jacks’ hand gently. “And of course I smell good,” he said rolling his eyes as if it were the most obvious thing.

“Oh, you pansy.” Thomas teased, directing a face of mock disgust towards the other. “Has anyone mentioned you’re a terrible over actor? No? Well, you are.” Another laugh escaped him. He realized how fantastic it felt to be able to be around someone and not worry about what false judgement, despite all the flirting and teasing. It was a very welcome feeling indeed, though Thomas figured that exercising a little caution would still be advisable. The other’s play about his true love’s kiss was something he couldn’t let slide, however. With a pleased smile that promised good things in his lips, he placed the quill delicately back down on the wooden table, stood quietly and made his way towards Jackson’s seat. Taking the other’s cheeks in his hands, he smiled down at him. “I don’t know anyone actually. But I have heard my kisses have are quite notorious in the heart-melting gig.” With that said, he leaned in, pulled the other by their joined hands until his lips were pressed lightly over Jackson’s, the other’s lips even softer than he remembered. The other boy’s scent filled him as he experimentally moved his lips lightly over his, wondering distantly if he was taking this a bit too far. He pulled back in the slightest seconds after, opening his eyes to look at the other; he gave out a small laugh, gratifying the other one more chaste kiss before turning and moving back to his chair casually, as if nothing had happened. “Did it work? And let me just say that my developed chicken legs and thighs would make a better meal that that of a chicken’s.” He said in a tone of feigned seriousness, pulling his chair before reclaiming his seat, Jackson’s hand still warm against his own. “Ah this one’s clean?” he gave the other’s hand a light tug. “Well, I suppose that’s good to know. And, why? Are you ambidextrous?” Her sister was ambidextrous, and even though it sounded lame, meeting another one was pretty cool.

Of course the fact that it was almost too easy for them to just lean in and kiss each other did not go unnoticed by Thomas. They were so close that he could almost hear the other breathe, could feel his heartbeat against him. Still, it was something he wouldn’t wish to experiment on. Things were going so well, why ruin it? “Good. I don’t want you getting sick now, even if it was your fault for eating the evil candy.” He said, leaning back slightly towards Jackson’s hands, while his attentions were seemingly focused on the parchments before him. He was almost done anyway. “And no. Still no sympathy for you, love. You’re not both, and still you eat evil candy. Thing things you do to yourself, GOSH.” Were his teasing next words, before he leaned back a little more. He badly wanted to close his eyes and merely allow himself to get lost in the amazing sensations Jackson’s fingers brought him, but that would seem rather inappropriate, wouldn’t it? He looked at him sidelong and nodded. “I shall have it in by then, sir.”

Would he mind having another excuse to touch Jackson? Hell no. But Thomas did allow a few seconds to linger in the air between them, before he shrugged and said a calm “No, I suppose I wouldn’t mind.” Abandoning his parchments, wand and quill, Thomas leaned his elbows on the table and cradled Jackson’s hand in both of his before moving his thumbs over the palm, applying pressure on certain spots. “I always did this for my mother.” He announced. “She overworks them a lot in the apothecary, so she sort of needs the pampering in the afternoons, I suppose.” The other’s comment about the banana made him giggle. “Of course. Couldn’t think of any other banana myself, actually. Glad we’re on the same page!”

Whipped cream has most definitely part of far too many dirty talks he’s engaged in the past though this was one of the few instances he must refrain for things to go too R rated. “I told you I’d rather not explain my adventures at such a public setting. Maybe if we move to a more secluded place I might indulge in relating very graphic details. Otherwise, I’m keeping quiet.” And it was true. Jack smelled sensational. But Thomas didn’t want to let him know that he thought so. “You are? Actually, wait let me take another whiff of your natural musk.” He leaned in and smelled him, then placed a look of slight distaste. “Uh... right.” He joked, even though he would probably burry his nose on the other’s neck if he was given the option too. Poking at his ego was just too much fun to pass up.

“I am not a terrible actor than you very much, people line up to see me perform some of the greatest hits!” Jack said aghast at the very idea that someone would say he wasn’t good. Of course he was joking, knowing that really couldn’t act that well, he ended up laughing too quickly, but it didn’t mean he wouldn’t try! Jack watched as Thomas stood up and walked over before him and cradled his face. He raised an eyebrow as he looked up at the other man. “I’ll believe it when I see it,” he said moving forward as Thomas pulled him forward and he tilted his head slightly, pressing into the kiss without much of a problem. It felt good and his fingers clenched in his pants to stop himself from pressing anymore into it before it was done and he sat back with a grin. “Well now, I think I’m healed again,” he said wrapping long arms around Thomas’s middle and hugging him before settling back into his chair. “How do you do it?” he asked shaking his head in wonderment. “And of course they would darling, they’re bigger than an actual chickens so there’s more meat on them,” he said nodding his head as he moved to rest his head in one arm, smiling slightly at Thomas, enjoying himself a lot. “Actually I’m not, I just tend to only write with my right and use my left for everything else, but I can’t write with my left,” he said shrugging a shoulder. “Weird, I know.”

“It’s not an evil candy, it was just misunderstood,” Jack said shaking his head as he tapped Thomas on the nose. He wondered for a brief moment what everyone around them was thinking of the two of them acting like this, but then he pushed it to the side, not wanting to dwell on that, especially not when he was having fun with the other boy. He could feel Thom lean towards him slightly and he smiled before sulking. “You’re trying to break my heart are you? Vile knave,” Jack said tugging on Thomas’s hair absently before sighing. “And it’s working, don’t break my heart, my achy breaky heart,” Jack said humming a few lines of an old song he once knew. He rubbed the back of Thomas’s neck absently before nodding. “Sounds good. Any extensions needed result in the loss of one point of brilliant from the prize,” he pointed out. “So beware.”

Jackson smiled as Thomas pulled his hand closer before he let out a small sigh at the first press of thumbs against his palm. “Wow,” he said his eyes falling half shut as he relaxed his hand. “That feels really good,” he said his arm and hand relaxing as Thomas continued to work on them, a small sigh of enjoyment falling from his lips. “You can pamper me all you like if this is what it feels like,” he said with another small groan before shaking his head with a chuckle. “Me too, misunderstandings are only sometimes fun.”

“Not even if you whisper them in my ear?” Jack asked raising his head to look at Thomas with a raised eyebrow. “I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours,” he offered unashamedly. “Or a secluded place works well for me, got any place in mind?” he asked wondering if Thomas would actually take him up on his offer or not. “Sure thing,” he said moving his head to the side before frowning. “I do not,” he said lifting his arm and smelling, just in case. “Sure the cologne’s worn off a bit but I still smell fantastic.”

”Oh, I’m sure love.” Thomas replied, in a tone that highly suggested that he highly doubted that was true. Still, his teasings were pretty harmless, and he knew Jackson wouldn’t read anything he would say negatively. “I’m glad you’re cured now, then.” Thomas smiled, licking his lips once. His heart was beating hard against his ribcage, his lips once against burning from the recent contact. Distantly, he wondered if he was affecting Jackson the same way he was affecting him. From the looks of things, it didn’t seem as if that was the case; he pushed the negative thoughts aside, knowing they would only ruin a beautiful ting. “I have cured plenty of diseases in my time; headaches, cancer, Aids. All those nasty things overruled by the power of The Kiss. I even made a crippled man walk once...” He popped his collar arrogantly, but his act was shattered when a hearty laughed escaped his. All of it was complete bullshit and they both knew it. It was still fun though. When the other briefly closed his arms around his waist caught him slightly off guard. Blanking out for a second, he merely stood there, looking down adoringly at the top of Jack’s head. Before he could even move to return the gesture, the other had pulled away and he was left to only smile and run his fingers affectionately against the other’s cheek. “Thank you for that.” He said, pulling away then to return to his work. “And I’d really wish to refrain from using poultry as an analogy for myself, or any specific parts of my body for that matter. It’s not good for my much-abused-by-Jackson ego. It’s deflating at this very second. And I still think it’s cool. My left hand is basically useless for me. And my sister’s ambidextrous; I’ve always found it quite fascinating.”

“Misunderstood? Perhaps. It was still in fact contaminated. Contamination makes it evil. Ask the old Christians. Anything stripped off of innocence and tainted in any way is considered evil. Which makes me probably next to Satan at this point but oh well.” He shrugged, his lower lip pouting. On top of the constant penetrating gaze that has been stuck on them since they arrived from the lovely librarian, the people around them were already definitely staring at their direction. Two boys openly expressing affections was clearly something people don’t see everyday, and clearly something most do not exactly approve of. Still, Thomas has never been bothered by them. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, so he had no reason to be ashamed in any way. Looking down he continued to work on the last notes, transferred the last bit into a fresh new parchment and was soon finished. He took the new ones and rolled them neatly before handing them to Jackson, a most pleased smile on his features. “I just made your notes. If I was trying to break your heart, I would do something a little less nice.” The hand at the back of his neck was relaxing, and he wished the other wouldn’t stop. “Oh, I’d be most cautious, I promise. Next week.” He pointed his index to his temple for emphasis. “It’s already noted here, sir.”

Jackson’s words made him smile again which was not a surprise either. He couldn’t even recall a time where he didn’t smile when the other was around. His hands continued to busy themselves on massaging the other’s hand, applying pressure down each finger now, before lightly tugging in each one. “Next time, it will cost you a striptease for another one of these. Though since it’s you’re first time, this one’s on me.” A most amused laugh. Thomas finished massaging one hand then gestured for Jack to give him the other.

“No, I’m not going to do that now. The walls have ears you know.” Thomas announced, taking Jack’s other hand and giving it the same loving treatment. “I’d rather we talk about things like that in private. I have plenty of places in mind already and I’ll tell you where they are when we agreed to talk about meeting again to test out that whole ‘not-studying’ we talked about earlier.” The comment earned another laugh from Thomas. “Really?” he questioned. Standing, Thom moved to the back of Jackson’s chair and leaned in; he lightly buried his face against the crook of the other’s neck, using his nose to trace teasingly across the other’s skin, his lips brushing against him occasionally. “Mmm.... you’re right. You smell really good.” Thomas moved back (quite unwillingly) a fraction after, resting his hands on the back of the other’s chair and resting his chin on his folded arms. “What cologne do you use?”

“Oh really, can they now?” he asked tilting his head to the side as the corner of his lip tugged up. “And why haven’t you spread The Kiss with the world yet? It would be a better place. Tell me, can it end suffering as well?” he asked joking of course but looking completely serious as he did so. He chuckled when Thomas laughed and leaned back in his chair, his eyes still half closed from the press of fingers against his hand and fucking hell it felt good. Better than perhaps anything else he had ever tried before in his life. “Not a problem, what’s a friend supposed to do. Not hug someone?” he asked tilting his to the side before gasping in mock outrage. “Well I never! I would never abuse your ego,” Jack said shaking his head. “It’s too big for me to make a dent in it,” he said tapping the side of his nose with another wink as he blew a kiss at Thomas. “It would be cool, if I could write with it. When I get a hand cramp, just switch sides and all that jazz.”

“It is not evil, now you’re just hurting it’s feelings,” Jackson said before laughing. “Oh really, does this fall under the not ready to be talked about in a public place category or can I ask?” he asked tilting his head to the side as he looked straight at Thomas with a raised eyebrow. Jackson ignored everyone else as well, not really minding the looks or anything, he was used to them and frankly he didn’t care enough. He knew that if it was someone he knew and liked he would have an issue, but most of these people didn’t even know him so why should be bother to act a certain way to appease them? He took the rolled notes with a small gasp. “They’re all done? Really?” he asked opening them up and looking through them. They looked good and clean and nothing like his at all. “Yeah, they still don’t make sense,” he said with a sheepish smile. “Fuck I’m an idiot.”

“Striptease I can do if it means I can get more of these,” he said dropping his head forward onto the table with a small sound of pleasure as his fingers were pulled. He could feel them crack and he winced, but then there was relief and he relaxed anymore. “I think I might just love you after this,” he said shaking his head as he raised his head to smile at Thomas as he handed over the other hand, flexing his now free one. “It feels a lot better ta,” he said nodding his head.

“Alright then, just name the time and place and I’ll be there,” he said nodding his head. “Places like what?” he asked interested as he smirked. “Because I know a few as well, the first being my very comfortable bed,” he said nodding his head. “Studying, of course we’re studying right now,” he said nodding his head. “And I like this kind of studying,” he said with a wide beaming grin at the other man. He sat up when his hands were released as he watched Thomas sit up and he tilted his head back, grinning when he felt the nose along his neck and he turned his head, his skin heating up a bit where he felt the lips touch his. “Of course I do,” he said turning around and facing Thomas. “I’ve not a clue, some muggle thing my Mum buys me. I like it though.”

"Because The Kiss is only given to a special chosen few." Thomas touched the tip of his index to Jackcon's nose lightly. "And you happen to be one of them. Lucky you." A smile was offered, before Thomas looked away, a light pink blush staining his defined cheeks. "It can end any for of evil, dear Jackson. I bet if I snogged the Dark Lord when he was alive, he's turn into a giddy tree-hugging pixie." Things were definitely going smoothly so far. He and Jackson had exceptional chemistry, and the other seemed to like him enough, given that Thom felt him respond to his kiss- despite how acute it was. still there was a line drawn between them that Thom was afraid to cross, in fear of shattering this seemingly perfect picture they've made. Jack was a great guy and it would be a shame if he would scare him away by his aggressiveness. Plus, he was addressed a 'friend' "Of course." he said with a smile of his own. "And quit acting like an ass. You like abusing my ego, you sadist." he accused, though almost melted when the other blew that kiss towards his direction. "And I, the masochist that I am, am merely allowing you to subject me to constant torture. This is truly and odd relationship."

"It's deep inside your stomach." Thom stated simply with a sigh. "I doubt it can hear me accusing it of being evil. I feel safe." He offered Jackson a grin, one that most definitely showed his contentment. "And yes, of course they're done." He said, flicking his wand almost lazily towards the trash pile, before the papers disappeared. "And none of that 'I'm an idiot nonsense- I don't want to hear that ever again." he said rather too strongly, without meaning to, but recovered with small laugh. "Soon enough, you'll be able to make something out of those. You do trust me, don't you?"

Thomas almost burst out laughing at the other's next proclamation. "I'm holding onto that promise, you do know that, right? I take everything seriously." he warned, applying more pressure into the other's hands, just so he could hear more of those gorgeous sounds he was making."Might? Oh, once again the lack of assurance is most disheartening. I might even think now that you're trying to breaky MY heart..." he said onc he pulled back, crossing his arms in front of him and pretending he was upset, a pout on his pink lips.

"Expect an owl soon enough. I become too easily bored, I'm afraid." Thomas proclaimed. "Just...Places. You'll see." he said, with an air of mystery. "Though I must admit that your bed seems a nice enough place. I am however, from a different house. Planning to be sneak me in, if needed?" He asked, leaning his chin on the arms he has propped on the back on the other's chair, a thoughtful look on his expression. "You should. The best sorts of study sessions are with yours truly." One last time, he leaned in to place a kiss on the other's cheek, taking in the other's scent and imprinting it in his mind, before pulling back. "Study Session is over, love. I'll see you soon?" He offered the other one a charming smile before summoning his things. After one last wave to the librarian, Thomas turned and made his way towards the exit, an ear-to-ear smile never leaving his features...

“Well it’s a shame that no one thought to tap into your potential during the war isn’t it,” Jack said shaking his head as if it was life’s greatest mystery. He crossed his eyes as Thomas tapped his nose and he chuckled slightly, straightening them out to look at the other man with a shake of his head. He did like Thomas that much he knew, how much he wasn’t sure about as he wasn’t really the sort of person to notice that he nagging feeling in his stomach was a little more than hunger from a missed supper. But he did like Thomas as a friend, the other man was fun to hang out with, and he was relaxed and didn’t mind flirting, which was something he liked more and more. “I’m not a sadist, I’m simply telling it like it is,” Jack said with a beaming grin and a wink at the other man. “You love me so get over it,” Jack said reaching over to tap Thomas’s nose.

“Well good, because it might be misunderstood but it will still break your teeth,” Jack said raising a hand to press fingers against the side of his mouth as he nodded his head watching as the notes were banished, leaving him only with his nice clean ones. “Even if it’s true?” he asked with wide eyes. He wasn’t putting himself down or anything, it was just that he wasn’t that smart; he didn’t pick things up right away. “I trust you,” Jack said a moment later with a smile.

“Oh then I’d better be careful shouldn’t I?” Jack asked before whimpering slightly when the pressure increased on his fingers. “Merlin that feels good,” he said dropping his forehead down onto the table, relaxing slightly, his eyes closing. It felt weird and brilliant at the same time and he never wanted it to stop. “I would never break your heart love,” he said looking up with a half smile. He flexed his hands as he sat up and leaned back as well. “Because it’s as cold as ice, stopping this lovely little hand massage now,” he said cracking his knuckles.

“Oh I’ll be expecting them every day of course,” he said rolling his eyes as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “I want to see these places as well,” he said tapping the side of his nose. “I doubt people will mind, if you were a Slytherin then we might get a few problems, Ravenclaw, you’ll be fine,” Jack said waving a hand nonchalantly as he tilted his head back to look at Thomas a little bit better. “Is it really?” he asked as he felt the kiss on his cheek and he looked at the time. “Well bugger me,” he said under his breath with a grin. “See you soon love,” he said grabbing his papers and standing up, walking out a few seconds after.
