"Of course it's not so bad," she said softly, taking a different approach this time. Perhaps saying that he should relax and stop being ridiculous wasn't the way to go about it (even if he was being a bit ridiculous and overly paranoid). So, she tried a different tactic and squeezed his hand again and covered it with her other one too.
"You don't have to worry about impressing them," she said earnestly. "They already think highly of you and have since we became friends our first year." They were relieved too that Hermione had finally found some friends that were deserving of her and accepted her for the way she was. "Mum, especially, has been wondering when the two of us would come to our senses and is happy for us. Dad too."
