"Linda!" He exclaimed, a bit startled. "Linda, hi." He was kind of unnerved by the fact that Linda had suddenly shown up the moment he had been thinking of their conversation. It always sort of freaked him out when things like that happened though they happened more often than one would think them to. Hermione did it all the time. Appearing out of nowhere the moment she crossed his mind.
He turned his attention to the parchment in front of him, realizing he had only finished about half the questions assigned. He had to get a move on if he wanted to be able to submit them the next day. Scribbling another answer quickly, he responded to her statement. "Yeah, didn't get to it before now." He shrugged a bit, feeling the heat of the fireplace next to him.
