At his exuberance, Hermione smiled, letting him pull her closer as he stood with his back to the tree they were under. It was colder in the shade, but it was nothing that another warming charm couldn't help. When he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, she resisted the urge to duck her head and let it fall back down to cover her cheeks which were reddening slightly.
She wanted to object and say that he was partial and biased, but held her tongue. Hearing someone say that she was beautiful was nice. She knew she wasn't as pretty as all the other girls - she was a bit awkward and her hair was too bushy, but it was still nice to hear someone taking notice. "Thank you," she said finally, assuming that that was what she was supposed to say as she tugged gently and playfully at his hands.
