Who: Pansy Parkinson + Adrian Pucey
What: A spot of shopping in Diagon Alley and then who knows
Where: Diagon Alley, London
When: Daytime - 14th November
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete

After traveling to a few of the word's fashion capitals after her graduation, the return to Diagon Alley's little shops was... well, utterly dull. It was like the wizarding world's fashion in London was stuck five years in the past compared to the rest of the world. At least, that was Pansy's opinion - and her opinion was the only one that counted thank you very much.

She hadn't heard from Daphne or any of the other girls she deemed worthy enough to call friend but that didn't mean anything. She knew not everyone was using the journals just yet as a means to keep in touch with everyone and honestly, Pansy really couldn't be bothered with writing an owl. Her friends would contact her when they wanted something - that was generally the way Slytherins worked.

Shopping on her own wasn't as horrid as one would think. In fact, Pansy enjoyed it. It provided her with the opportunity to get something her friends would be truly jealous of. Like the new emerald green scarf she acquired that went perfecting with a handbag she had at home. She wrapped said scarf tighter around her neck, the air chilly today, as she walked toward the Gringotts end of Diagon. Lost in her own little world, she didn't notice the person in her path until she bumped into them.

"Excuse you!" She said abruptly, "Learn to watch where you are going, imbecile." Needless to say, Pansy was never the one in the wrong.

Adrian felt something small and defiant bump into him and he turned, startled from his coffee and the walk he'd taken to get out of the office for his lunch break. His eyes widened, "Well then, excuse me, Pansy," he laughed to himself at her insult.

"Just as jumpy as ever, eh?" He asked, taking a long drink of his coffee to calm his own rattled nervous. Being among crowds never felt right for him during the day, with a fix waiting for him at the end of his office hours.

"Lovely scarf, Slytherin green has always been a wonderful color for you," he complimented her, reaching out to brush the fabric.

Pansy looked up as the person she bumped into said her name, her look of disgust melting off her face in favour of a more pleasant one. Adrian Pucey was someone she could tolerate - however, still didn't mean he wasn't an imbecile for walking in her path. Pansy was never one to say the words I'm sorry.

"Hardly," she replied, her voice lacking it's usual venom reserved for those of a lesser standard of acquaintance. "However, you can not expect one to not react when they receive a startle while walking along minding their own business. It is a natural human reaction, correct?" Pansy always seemed to have the words to justify any action she might take.

Pansy's lips quirked upward at the complement. That saying about how flattery will get you places. Well, it was clearly meant to be about Pansy. "Thank you, Adrian," her voice softened a little as she soaked up the compliment for all that it was worth. She allowed him to touch the scarf and admire the soft texture of it. "Are you on a lunch break? Perhaps you might allow me to join you, hmm?"

"Of course," he agreed, letting his voice modulate as the caffeine leveled out his heart-rate.

At her surprising softening, Adrian perked up, perhaps company was just what he needed to get his mind off of things. Spex wasn't available until well after dark to meet him for his latest buy, and the afternoon in the office seemed the worst sort of torture to him today. "I would be honoured," he admitted. "Are you finished shopping or could I convince you to let an interested fellow tag along before letting him take you out to lunch? My parents would never forgive me if I didn't offer to pick you up a token while we're both out."

A pleased grin crept on her face when he said he was honoured to have her company. Pansy loved getting her own way. Her grin only broadened at the mention of getting a token of some sort. Presents were always a plus in Pansy's book.

"I was finished, yes." She admitted, seeing no point in lying in this instance. "However, I can be easily persuaded. After all, your parents sound like intelligent people and I don't think you should do something to displease them."

She looked around the various shops surrounding them and then back to Adrian. "See anything that takes your interest, Adrian?" And yes, she was well aware that question could lead to more crude answers. But of course, a polite person never discusses those sorts of this in a busy alley. "Clothes, jewellery? Perhaps a new tome from Flourish and Blotts? You decide."

"I do like a fellow Slytherin who can be easily persuaded into the finer things in life," Adrian joked. "Gods, it has been a long time since all the old families have gotten together, isn't it?"

As they began their stroll, Adrian stopped at Madam Malkins, "I know you've already been in, if the scarf is any indication, but I would be so very happy to see you in new robes. Perhaps something a bit fun, for your return to London?" Perhaps something he could convince her to take off instead of going back to the office this afternoon.

"Entirely too long," Pansy agreed. In fact, she couldn't recall a single get together of the old families since she graduated. Although, to be fair she had been off traveling for the past few months. "I think we should rectify that. Although, I would much prefer to have a function with just our generation. As much as I love my parents I feel as though they can be quite smothering to a good time."

She cast a sideways glance when he mentioned something more fun, a small knowing smile quirking the corners of her mouth upward. Pansy was by no means a blushing virgin and got the double meaning of that statement easily. But one does not go spouting that sort of thing in public like a common harlot.

"Very well, new fun robes it is." She replied, emphasizing on the word fun. "However, nothing in red. It is a vile colour." Although school was over for the young woman, some prejudices were still there. Such as her dislike of the colour red - vile Gryffindor colour.
