 Over New York, the SHIELD helicarrier had the best view of the day's festivities.   The skyline lit up in bursts of color with the fireworks streaking through the sky. 

Valentina watched from the bridge of the carrier.  Off-duty agents dotted the flight deck.  It was good to be reminded of what was at stake every day, and why they were on the job.
