Like hell. The request is so incredibly stupid it takes effort not to just laugh in the guy's face. He wants to live. He wants to find out what's going on, but if he thinks he's getting something out of him like that he has another thing coming. For the moment, he plays along.
"I'll need...iron...welding equipment..."
If I'm going - I'm taking you with me, you son of a bitch.
"You'll have it!" Wong Chu laughs. "And you will make weapons for me, and I will eventually let you go. I wish some of your top-of-the-line weapons."
He turns to leave.
Yinsen turns to Tony as Wong Chu leaves. "He's lying of course." He frowns. "He thinks you're dying... and you still might."
"I know." Damnit, this wheezing is getting old. "What -" Deep, painful breath. "Exactly is wrong with me? I - I can't see it."
"There is shrapnel in you. It is making its way towards your heart. If it pierces your heart, you will die." He touches Tony's chest, where a metal chestplate is protecting his torso. "This chestplate has a powerful electromagnet which is holding the shrapnel at bay. If it loses power, however... you will likely die within minutes."
He gives Tony a sad smile. "I'm afraid, Mr. Stark, that it was the best I could do under the circumstances."
His mind races. "What's the output on this thing?" Once he grills the man on the technical specifications he comes to the conclusion. "It's good, but it's not enough." He's already drawing the design he needs. While he does this something else occurs to him. "Aren't you Professor Yinsin with the Seoul Institute?"
He looks wistful. "I was - and that is the best way I can explain. General Wong has his influence everywhere." He looks over and frowns. "It looks like one of those...killer robots."
He smiles. "I loved those robots from the 50's. A lot of them are urban myths, but a few of them? Not myths. The military asked dad for idea how they might work. Dad passed the buck and tried to get me to do it." He smiles. "Let's see what we can manage."
