I’m not ashamed of my mistakes, they’re stitches in my sleeve (open) @ 07:53 pm

Anya looked at the clock and blinked. It was nine am. More importantly, what day was it? Since getting her new toy she had been one busy Stark and had lost track of what day it was. She would probably get a lecture from someone, but hey shiny new toy.

While she wouldn't get her license back for another week, she could work on her new car. Sure it was nice and shiny and was a nice machine, but it could always be improved. She tore it apart the second after she had gotten it in the garage. Well, she tore the power system apart. The batteries were going to be replaced by the new nifty zero point energy module she and Justin had invented.

The problem she had run into and had been trying to solve for awhile now was keeping the car's power systems from overloading from the new power source. Power systems were not her strong point. Dad and Justin were better with them. She could always ask one of them, but she really wanted to figure this out on her own.

Anya rubbed her eyes. Maybe some fresh air would help. Sleep would probably be best, but since the nightmare the other night she didn't want to sleep. Not unless she really had to.

She had thought she was past Temujin and the nightmares. Apparently she wasn't quite yet. Lucas's help did a lot of good getting him out of her mind, but one couldn't control dreams. Though she did admit that this had been the first one in a few months.

She sent an email to Lyta. There was planning and plotting that needed to be done and they only had a week. Anya had an idea of what they should do, but she wanted to run it by Lyta and see if it would work with her. Then she sent another email. This one was a special request and Anya didn't think she'd be allowed access, but it never hurt to ask.

Back to work until she got a reply to her inquiry.

The Hand of Justice @ 12:27 am

[info]anyastark:

Hong Kong. Macau. Shanghai.

Lady Mandarin and the Abomination had been busy carrying out the Mandarin's orders. There were pockets of resistance to the Mandarin's control of the Underworld in each city and the two of them were the means by which the Mandarin brought those resisting under his control.

They descended into Beijing and Lady Mandarin set Abomination on the ground before she herself landed.

It was time to carry out her lord's wishes.

Possession @ 03:14 am

[info]anyastark:

Boston, well Cambridge really, was nice enough but it just wasn’t New York. No place would ever be New York, but MIT was located in Cambridge and that’s where Anya had to be. Anya had enjoyed the past week in New York with her family and Steve. She even had some time to go skydiving with Halbjorn. It had been a nice week off and worth the hard work she had done during Independent Study to get that week off.

Classes started tomorrow. Anya had been looking forward to classes starting, but she did miss New York.

She looked at the new suit of armor she had brought up with her. It was currently stored in a small storage shed not far from her apartment. She couldn’t sleep so she decided to do diagnostics on the flight control systems. She wanted to take it for a flight, but due diligence first. Besides, there was that whole thing about being punished for the DUI thing.

Dad said she couldn’t use a suit, but he didn’t put any bans on building one. It would give her something to do when she needed a break from class work.

She frowned as she looked at the display. The flight stabilizers wouldn’t stay calibrated. She rubbed her eyes and looked at her watch. It was after two am and she had class at eight. Maybe it was time to call it a night and get a few hours of sleep.

She shut down the systems and exited the small storage area. She engaged the security system and locked it up.

Every Breath You Take @ 04:19 am

[info]nextgen_baddie:

Temujin was a patient man. He wasn't going to be rash and make a sudden move. All of his moves would be planned, calculated and deliberate. Right now he was content to watch and learn Anya's daily routine as she moved about Cambridge.

When the time was right, and only when it was right, he would make his move. She wasn't the only one he wanted to grab. The elder Stark would be taken as well and be made to watch what Temujin had planned for the girl. He would make the elder Stark suffer while he reclaimed his property.

Soon, he thought. Soon he would make his move. He just had to wait until the elder Stark and Anya had some quality bonding time. He knew it wouldn't be long. He could wait.

An Offer You Can't Refuse @ 03:12 am

[info]ng_zodiac:

Wen Leong sat back in his chair and locked his fingers together behind his head. Right now, thanks to Therese, he was in control of almost half the San Francisco underworld. It had taken time, but he was a patient man. Therese was very efficient in changing the minds of the leaders of the various factions.

Tomorrow he had another meeting with another leader. By the end of the day he should have control over another part of the underworld.

Looking For Luck I Can't Even Buy @ 11:01 pm

[info]anyastark:

It was a perfect fall afternoon. The thermometer was in the low 60s, the sky was a bright blue and the sun was bright. The trees were vibrant oranges, yellows and reds as they showed off their colors of the season. It was also the time of the year for Dad's birthday and Anya was at a loss of what to get him this year.

It was a great excuse to shop.

Classes finished up early on Fridays and Anya was back in New York by two. Plenty of time to shop, grab dinner and then find something to do for the evening. The first thing she did was grab Toni to drag her along. Anya's free time had been in short supply lately as she got caught up with school and it had been awhile since she had some time with her bestest friend.

The streets and sidewalks were crowded as they made their way down Fifth Avenue.

Divide and Conquer @ 07:07 am

[info]ngmastersofevil:

Hadelinde was a meticulous planner. She knew what she had to accomplish and had devised a plan to reach her first goal. Then she drafted a backup plan in case things went south. There was also a backup plan for the backup plan. She couldn’t fail. She wouldn’t fail. It wasn’t even an option. Plans for the second and third stages had been drafted as well along with backup plans for them.

Beetle had been sent to do recon on the Avengers. With her suit being undetectable and invisible she was the most logical choice for recon. It seemed like things had changed a little since her last excursion against the Avengers. It seemed like the younger ones had moved out of the mansion and onto an island a few miles off shore. It had been a most fortuitous change. The kids were more exposed and the adults weren’t around, leaving them a lot more vulnerable.

Hadelinde would exploit this to her advantage.

She didn’t like the fact that there were a few Avengers she didn’t know about. The files Temujin had provided her weren’t complete. It was another reason for the recon. She had to know what they were capable of.

She looked at the assembled group. Enforcer, Jurassic, Gravedigger, Gargantua, Frenzy, and Titanium Titan were all waiting for the orders to start the attack. She looked at each one of them and nodded.

"Let’s go.”

Things Out of Nightmares @ 01:26 am

[info]anyastark:

A night out at a club was a preemptive move on Anya's part. She didn't need hear her two keepers nagging her about not getting out and not having a social life, so she arranged a night out at a club for anyone who wanted to come along. She had even sent a text to Prince Dork to let him know the X-kids were invited. It was an 18+ club even though Anya and Toni weren't technically 18 yet. Fake IDs were wonderful things.

The punk and alternative music was loud and Anya could barely hear herself think. She had picked CBGB because of the music. She was feeling energetic and good and the music had to suit her mood. The place looked like a graffiti paradise and was a total dive. It was absolutely perfect for her mood.

She practically bounced up to the bar to get a soda.
